Just Asking…

Wait Senator

Let’s see if I have this right.
Senator Manchin has made a lot of noise about the $5 Trillion of new spending. Now as of this morning he has agreed to the $1.5 trillion infrastructure, and said last week he would do $1.5 trillion additional.
So $3 trillion.
Today he indicates he is willing to go to $2 trillion on the non infrastructure.
Thus, he is now on board for $3.5 of the $5 trillion, and negotiations are not over yet.
What I expect is he will go another $250 billion before this is over.
Thus, we will end up with with two bills totaling $3.25 trillion of new spending.
Who won?
Well 50 Republicans said infrastructure only. The Democrats said no, $3.5 trillion more. We’ll end up with $2.25 additional.
You decide who won, but I can tell you who lost. The future generations who will pay the bill.
Is that what you thought Manchin was saying when he said we can’t afford the spending?

The New Taliban

Remember Afghanistan? You know that disaster of withdrawal we did? The one we left citizens and supporters behind in? The one the media never mentions? You remember, right?
You know the one where the President said there was a new Taliban that was different?
Well this morning we awoke to three cranes in the middle of Kabul, all holding a hung body blowing in the wind. New Taliban? Come on now, you know in the old regime there would have been six hanging.

You Can’t Be Serious

Remember the debt issue we promised would become an issue? The clock is ticking, and as reported the Republicans told the Democrats, “You spent the money on your own, raise the debt ceiling on your own.”
Well, some Democrats are floating possible changes to the Senate’s filibuster rule to resolve the impasse.
Get this, they are discussing a possible one-day elimination of the 60-vote filibuster in order to raise the debt ceiling, or potentially a permanent carve-out that would make it against the Senate rules to filibuster debt-ceiling increases.
You can’t be serious.
We elected these people? You either have a 60 vote filibuster or you don’t.
If you carve out a 50 vote one when you need it, well here’s news, you don’t have a filibuster.

You Can’t Be Serious II

So John Kerry does an interview and says the President had no idea about the sub deal with Australia and the reaction of France, where Secretary Blinken is trying “to mend fences”. Kerry said the President asked what happened? He said this out loud in an interview.
Headlines no?
The President didn’t know about the issue?
Who is in charge in the White House? What does the President know? Who is making these calls?
Kerry’s words are damning and should be all over the news.

While I am asking questions, where is VP Harris and what is she doing?
Can someone in the media provide an update on what she has done to fix the border issue that she is in charge of? How come you (the media) can’t ask?
By the way she is also is in charge of:
Expanding voting rights, increasing broadband access, addressing Black maternal mortality, racial inequality, promoting women in the workforce, and is the leader of the Space Council.
How’s that going?

We Don’t Always Agree With

We don’t always agree with former President Trump, but in this case he is one hundred per cent correct.
The Story:
Former President Donald Trump formally asked the Pulitzer Prize board to revoke 2018 prizes given to major newspapers that reported on suspicions of a link between the 2016 Trump campaign and Russians who interfered in the contest.
Mr. Trump said the board needed to correct the record after it lauded The New York Times and The Washington Post. He cited the report by special counsel Robert Mueller that found no evidence of a criminal conspiracy between the campaign and Russian actors.
“Specifically, the prize was awarded for a series of articles centered around the now-debunked Russia collusion conspiracy theory,” Mr. Trump said.
He continued:
“The headlines themselves were extremely sensational and leaned heavily on unsubstantiated anonymous sources, as a result, the public was deprived of an independent means of assessing their credibility, their potential for political bias, and the source of their knowledge.”
Then he highlighted the recent indictment of an attorney in Hillary Clinton’s orbit on charges of lying to the FBI, saying it debunked claims the Trump campaign had secret communications with Russia-based Alfa Bank.
His closing line:
The ex-president said if the reporters won’t relinquish the prizes voluntarily, the Pulitzer board should take them back to preserve its reputation.

We agree with him. Just like Gov Andrew Cuomo had to give back his Emmy, these rewards should be taken back. They did not withstand the test of time.

Have A Great Day. Stand Up For American Values.
