A Few More Head Shakers…

THE SAME PERSON?

We’ve been mired in this 1619 versus 1776 debate as to when America really began. You’ve read and heard much about the 1619 Project. Well now comes news that project journalist, Nikole Hannah-Jones, has touted Cuba as the “most equal” country in the Western Hemisphere. She attributed the reason, “largely due to socialism and that the country’s socialist government affords residents a utopian form of racial equality unmatched anywhere in the Western Hemisphere.”
Got that now? Cuba is the best example. The same Cuba, locking people up who are begging for food and freedom. I guess if everyone has a bad life then to her it’s good, because it’s universally bad.

She was asked in the interview:
“Are there candidates right now or even just places that you think have a viable and sufficiently ambitious integration agenda, and if so, what is it?”
Her answer:
“If you want to see the most equal, multiracial democ … it’s not a democracy — the most equal, multiracial country in our hemisphere, it would be Cuba. Cuba actually has the least inequality, and that’s largely due to socialism, which I’m sure no one wants to hear.”

Want more? In 2008 she wrote praising Cuba as a gold standard example for other countries to follow. She commended Cuba for its high literacy rate, low HIV infection rate, and for bringing about the “end of codified racism.”  Adding this: “It manifests in what Cuba has accomplished, through socialism and despite poverty, that the United States hasn’t,” she stated.

This is the hero of the left. I repeat there are no walls blocking anyone from leaving our racist society and moving to Cuba. In fact there are millions in Cuba who are willing to trade places. They don’t appreciate all they have in Cuba. Imagine how ungrateful people can be. Since you and others recognize it, what’s stopping anyone from going to their panacea? I tell you what, let’s call this the 2021 project. You would love socialism and think Cuba is the place, go there. We’ll be fine here and you’ll be happy, you think.
As for 1619, how does anyone claim a country 156 years before that country declares itself one?

WAIT NOW, HOW BIG WAS THE 2020 WIN?

The argument over infrastructure spending has come down to this. The two sides still haven’t figured out how to pay for their plan, and they’re still squabbling about the policy particulars. Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer who got this enormous mandate (a 50/50 senate) gave Republicans an ultimatum: Either go on record and vote for the infrastructure deal or they pass it without them.
Sen. John Cornyn spoke for the Republicans when he said:
“If my constituents think I was voting on a bill that hadn’t been written yet … they would probably try to recall me.”
Mitch O’Connell said something familiar: “We need to see the bill before voting to go to it. I think that’s pretty easily understood.”
Other Republicans spoke on it too. It appears that Majority Leader Schumer united the Republicans.
Sen. Blunt (Mo): “There’s no bill. You can’t expect that many Republicans to move forward on a pretty vague concept.”
Even the bipartisan Republican committee members were anti Schumer’s plans:
Sen. Susan Collins said there simply isn’t enough time to land the infrastructure plane ahead of Wednesday. Sen. Mitt Romney (a key negotiator), said he will not vote to proceed if no accord is reached.
When you lose them you’ve lost the Republicans.
It’s simple. There is no bill, no means to pay for it, but Schumer said it will be voted on this week.
The Democrats where are they? They’re with Schumer.
Sen.  Warner (Va) said that he is “anxious” to get a deal done and thinks Schumer is doing the right thing. Moderate Democrats like Senator Testa: “It puts pressure on us to get some shit done.”
Oh yea, Senator Manchin? He announced his support of the plan earlier in the week.

This is Washington today as we spend your kids future to satisfy a mandate that didn’t exist.
Someone needs to tell Schumer and pals that the mandate in 2020 was a vote against President Trump, not his policies and not a socialist one.
If Americans are paying attention like you are there will be a price to pay.

HAVE A GREAT DAY. CANCEL THE CANCEL CULTURE.
