More of it…

California seems to be developing a new game.
Elect someone who espouses far left policies and then after they start doing them, well, then recall them. The latest is Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon. He is facing a recall drive just six months after he took office!
He is being criticized as being soft on crime. Now he was one of a number of George Soros backed Democratic prosecutors who won election promising to deal with crime by employing social justice tactics such as reducing charges and sentences against accused or convicted criminals, ending gang task forces and easing parole requirements.
Six months in and the outcomes have been less than encouraging. Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore has reported a 73% increase in shootings during the first four months of the year. The city is on pace to end the year recording its highest crime and death tally in more than a decade.
Well, what did they expect?
The man was doing exactly what he said he would. I guess hearing it and living it are just different things.

The Progressives still think this is the solution though:
Here’s what Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez had to say about New York where violent crimes are also at alarming levels. Shootings are up 75%, robberies 46%, grand larceny 35% and felony assault 20%.
AOC has a reason, we don’t do enough for people.
“Maybe this has to do with the fact that people aren’t paying their rent and are scared to pay their rent and so they go out and they need to feed their child and they don’t have money so you… maybe have to… they’re put in a position… they feel like they either need to shoplift some bread or go hungry that night.”
Get that? It’s not that we reduced police activity and support or we defunded them. It’s not the repeat offenders with reduced (or no) bail. It’s not the reduced sentences. It’s not drugs or gangs running free on the streets. No, they’re hungry, we don’t provide them with enough.
Her solution is even better.
“If we want to reduce the number of people in our jails, the answer is to stop building more of them. … It’s to support communities, not throw them away. It is not acceptable for us to use jails as garbage bins for human beings. We need to treat people and see them as human.”
In todays America it’s never the person, the act and personal responsibility. It’s society’s fault. The same society and system that people around the world are risking their lives to get to. Maybe we should ship them out, like a baseball team sends players to the minor leagues for a while. I bet that short visit might cure a lot.

By the way think of this with New York.
In 2014 when DeBlasio was elected the city was considered the safest big city in America. This was following the terms of Bloomberg and Giuliani. The safest big city in America. How did two terms of progressive leadership work out there? You get what you vote for.
They have a primary this month to elect a new Mayor.

Taxes get leaked and released.
With perfect timing as the bipartisan infrastructure discussions ended with no agreement, mostly over additional taxes the Republicans would not support, comes a tax leak.
What does it show?
Well, the big guys with the money, who all talk that the rich can pay more, are not paying now.
Warren Buffett who is famous for saying he pays a lower rate than his secretary was on the list. So was Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Mike Bloomberg, Carl Icahn and George Soros.
From that list, with the exception of Icahn, I can recall the others saying higher rates were fine. Isn’t that ironic? Maybe we should tell them anything they will pay is higher than zero.
The next time you hear them spouting progressive policies and increased taxes for you, remember this leak.
Remember this too:
It’s not the rate, it’s the deductions. You can raise their rate to 90%, but if you don’t take the deductions away, they will do the same.
Nice timely release, though, considering the talks breakdown, right? A coincidence? I don’t think so.

The Supreme Court this week ruled:
The Court ruled unanimously that non-citizens who entered the U.S. unlawfully can’t obtain permanent residency even if the government has permitted them to stay under temporary protected status.
The decision was written by left leaning member Justice Elena Kagan. In it she said current immigration law only permits those who were admitted lawfully to the U.S. can apply for permanent residency.
Now doesn’t make complete sense?
Let’s see how long before the left tries to change the law or stack the court.

Really, how is this not a lead story on every station and in every publication?
This Hunter Biden story shocked me. Leaked conversations from his computer with attorney George Mesires, were shocking to me. The racist exchanges were stunning. The lewd sexual talk have come to be expected from him, but the use of racist words?
Here’s a few direct quotes:
“Because n—a you better not be charging me Hennessy rates.”
“That’s what I’m saying n—”
“OMG n—-a,”
The more I read the more upsetting it was. How could the President’s son be talking like this? If any of my kids or grandchildren were the ones saying this I would feel like I failed in life.
Then it got worse.
Biden had a meme on his computer. The only way to explain it, I think, is for you to read it.
He kept a picture on his laptop of President Biden and Mr. Obama embracing, according to the NY Post and the Daily Mail. The meme’s text reads:
“Obama: Gonna miss you, man.
Joe: Can I say it? Just this once?
Obama: *sigh* go ahead.
Joe: You my n—a, Barack.”
Folks that turned my stomach and I bet yours. How could this not be headline news in a nation so race conscious?

The President shares the vaccine:
The administration announced it will buy 500 million doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to share with the world, with the option to buy 200 million more.
Once again the U.S. comes to the rescue of those in need in the world. Aren’t we always the one who does the most? Yet our people walk the streets bringing down the nation. No one does more to feed, support, and help the world. No one.
On the vaccine, remember the President’s announced goal 70% of the population vaccinated by July 4th? This is the first goal that’s his with this vaccine. This administration did not develop the drug or set up for 200 million to be vaccinated in the first one hundred days. The vaccine and rollout were in place, though they have taken credit. This goal they own. Let’s see if we achieve it. I have my doubts.

While the Pipeline is officially canceled.
The developer of the shuttered Keystone XL pipeline announced yesterday that it has pulled the plug on the project, citing President Biden’s decision to rescind its cross-border permit, bringing the 13-year battle over the major infrastructure project to an end.
That takes care of that. In the end, Germany gets approval for a Russian pipeline, we get higher gas costs and the loss of energy independence. if you can explain it, let me know.
