WHEN IS A TRAVEL BAN RACIST?
Apparently it is racist when the Trump administration does one. After all, immediately after imposing the China ban (when and where the virus initiated from) he was called biased, racist and a xenophobe. Yet, when President Biden puts a ban on travel to and from India, you don’t hear a word.
Why is that?
Well first of all both bans were right.
So why was one biased and the other not?
Republicans in congress supported both. It was the Democrats who leveled the xenophobic charges. They are not about to call Biden names, are they?
And the free press? They have covered the India ban so little most people do not even know it was announced. The biased press is the problem. The ban begins tomorrow.
A SPECIAL ELECTION
This weekend there was a special election in a Texas congressional district to replace Republican Ron Wright who died of Covid. It was a district that was trending more Democratic. Trump had won it by 12 four years ago and only three last year. There were 23 candidates running and Democrats had big hopes that this would their break-thru year.
The way it works, unless one candidate gets 50% there is a run off. With the large number of candidates no one would get there.
However, when the votes were counted the the top candidates were both Republicans. The Democratic base did not turn out as expected. In fact the Democrats only got 37% of the overall vote.
This will be studied by both sides as a possible barometer to 2022. Are Republicans so riled by the Biden policies that they are turning out big and some Democrats not so pumped to support the leftward move of their party?
Keep an eye as other votes happen. Did you know this, or did the free press not cover it as it should have?
ROMNEY BOOED IN UTAH
Sen. MITT ROMNEY was “lustily” booed at the Utah Republican convention Saturday, and narrowly survived a censure vote over his support for Trump’s impeachment. This was the first State Convention and meeting since Romney’s vote to impeach. The audience was vocal and a censure vote taken to chastise him.
Romney survived that embarrassment but only by a 798-711 vote.
The Republican party divide is still wide with Rep. Lynne Cheney, and there is a new move afoot to removed her leadership. It is gaining momentum. Don’t be surprised if it happens.

YOU’RE CLAIMING VICTORY?
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said his department has cut the number of children in Border Patrol custody by nearly 90%. He did this as part of taking a 100-day victory lap even on immigrant policy. Think about what he is saying.
It’s not that he fixed the crossings and the mess he created. No, not that. What he is claiming victory on is that they are now processing them in 20 hours and sending them into the country.
I’m sure the press is telling everyone the full story.
