How come we never hear anymore the daily drumbeat of how many have perished from Covid? Didn’t that daily drumbeat of reporting seem to disappear with the Presidency change?
To prove that point we just passed one of those milestones that they led broadcasts with and left on the screen this week. That number, 575,000.

Did you see the numbers from Nielsen on the audience for the State of the Union?
It was 23 million. The lowest audience since 1993. By contrast President Trump’s first SOTU had 43 million viewers.
Where were the 81 million who voted for Biden?
Even more amazing, a CNN poll of an audience which overall “leaned” Democratic gave Mr. Biden a lesser score than Mr. Trump received when he delivered the same traditional speech in 2017.
The CNN poll found that 51% of the respondents gave Mr. Biden a positive review of his speech. (Mr. Trump received a 57% positive rating in 2017.)

A recent NBC News poll found that 53% of adults — including 90% of Democrats, 61% of independents and just 9% of Republicans — approve of the job the nation’s 46th president has done over his first 100 days, compared to 39% who disapprove.
Mr. Biden gets his highest mark, 69% approval, for his coronavirus response and lowest mark, 33% approval, for the way he has handled border security and immigration.

Yesterday two deputies were killed and three other people, including a suspected gunman, were found dead after a lengthy standoff in North Carolina.
In Delaware, an officer declared clinically dead Wednesday after he was brutally beaten while responding to a 911 call, police say.
Through the first four months of the year, 111 officers lost their lives in the line of duty, according to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. That is an 11% increase from 98 during the same period last year.
A total of 360 officers died in the line of duty last year, according to the fund, the deadliest year for law enforcement since 1974.
How come we never see the coverage for them?
