It Just Goes On…

and on it goes

We thought they would go for censure after impeachment, but instead they chose for a commission to investigate and keep the drum beat going on. The idea is keep Donald Trump front and center, divide the Republican party and keep the anti Trumpers united.
It’s working, too, as President Biden has a 53% approval in Rasmussen’s Daily Average.

I ask again, why is the attack on the House and the “threat” it presented to congressional lives any different than the riots, store looting and threats to citizens in those areas?
Why is it that in DC we get more troops, fences, barbed wire, increased security and upgraded police numbers, while in other areas we talk defunding and less security?
How do we decide which lives are worth more?
How do we decide which protesters are righteous?

Mitch McConnell’s attempt to have it both ways with the impeachment, voting no then taking to the floor to bury Trump, is still getting criticism.
The left is saying they would have impeached the former President if he (McConnell) had the courage to stand up.
The right, led by Donald Jr. said, “If only McConnell was so righteous as the Democrats trampled Trump and the Republicans while pushing the Russia collusion bull**** for 3 years or while Dems incited 10 months of violence, arson, and rioting. Yea then he just sat back and did jack ****.”

The best thing for the Democrats, a divided Republican party. So what will former President Trump do? I predict divide the party, just like he did in Georgia to cost them the senate. Why?

Think about it, his ego still tells him he won. His ego still tells him the American people want him (though in 4 years his approval rating never got higher than 47%). His ego still tells him he was the “best President,” maybe ever, and he should be on Mount Rushmore.

Why did some senators surprise and vote with the Democrats to impeach?
Here’s what the biggest surprise, Senator Cassidy of Lousiana, had to say:
“I voted to convict former President Trump because he is guilty, that’s what the facts demand.”

Pelosi and a “9-11 Commission”

Okay, she wants to appoint a commission to investigate the Jan. 6th events, what happened all day and what did President Trump do when he found out.
Okay, great.
But don’t spend the $25+ million dollars without telling me what happened before Jan. 6th too.
You see, I want to know who knew what when. Who didn’t call for more security? Did the FBI fail? The Police? Or was it the leadership in the house?
All the facts please.

In fact, how many still believe this NYT story on the police officer who died?
“At some point in the chaos — with the mob rampaging through the halls of Congress while lawmakers were forced to hide under their desks — he was struck with a fire extinguisher, according to two law enforcement officials.”
On Sunday the NYT retracted this, saying:
“Medical experts have said he did not die of blunt force trauma. Investigators are exploring whether Sicknick became ill after coming in contact with a chemical irritant such as pepper spray or bear spray. Another theory is that Sicknick had a pre-existing condition that was exacerbated by engaging with rioters.”

Another story spread by the liberal media that was wrong.
Think of how many of our citizens are walking around thinking there was Russian Collusion, Cuomo did the best job, and the officer was killed by Trump supporters hitting him with a fire extinguisher.
Is that an endorsement of a free press? Maybe a liberal state press.

republicans struggle going forward

What’s so hard about the party’s future? It’s as simple as Yes and No.
Trump policies, yes. Trump personality, no. It’s a winning formula.

put this in as “And what did you expect?”

Minnesota is having crime problems and hiring police officers. You call them names, charge them as racist and biased, cut their budget, let criminals loose before they finish the paperwork and you wonder why crime is up and no one wants the job? If you’re surprised you must a Democratic official in the area.

In NY they are having a major crime spree, and this weekend had additional issues on their train system. One example, two killed and two injured from knife attacker. They identified the person after a few days.
He was out walking the streets despite four recent arrests, including attacking his father and a Police Officer.
NY doesn’t believe in bail or locking people up anymore. Surprised at the crime uptick?

In Virginia the state agency that handles unemployment insurance in Virginia estimated that it has paid out more than $40 million in benefits to individuals who submitted claims on behalf of inmates. I guess we weren’t housing or feeding them enough in jail.
Just add that to the waste of your tax dollars, and that’s one state only.

Governor cuomo speaks

Forced to confront the rising tide of condemnation, he defended himself. I watched it. Four personal thoughts.
1. You said you should have given out more facts. No, you covered up and lied.
2. Thus, your book is a fraud and an example of your Trump like ego.
3. Give back your Emmy. By your own admission you “withheld facts.”
4. When you said “Who cares [if they] died in the hospital, died in a nursing home? They died.” The point, Governor, is many didn’t need to die. We care.

You’re lucky that the liberal media networks, cable stations and papers are not covering this as they would if it were a conservative governor. In fact they probably still have half the nation thinking you were a hero.

the lincoln project

Isn’t it ironic that this project, made of Republicans anti Trump, after getting so much positive coverage prior to the election is now busted?
The timing is really interesting.
Does that mean that George Conway (Kellyanne’s husband) who was a hero is now out too? Of course George knew “nothing” about the pedophile at the head, and all the money being used to support the team. “It’s terrible and awful,” he  told “Morning Joe” when asked about the allegations (after the story broke big). The Blaze wrote this:
“Conway — who wouldn’t see a microphone extended within 500 yards of him if not for his wife, former Trump senior counselor Kellyanne Conway — then added, “I didn’t know John very well. I frankly only spoke to him a couple times on the phone early on in the Lincoln Project.”
Hold the phone. You didn’t know him very well? You co-founded the Lincoln Project with Weaver while raising more than $80 million with him last year going into the presidential election. Oh, by the way, there’s also an op-ed in The New York Times that you co-wrote with that guy you don’t really know.

From my side, George, who made life difficult for his successful spouse can’t get enough heat. You see George, the left will love you when you’re helping them win. Once that’s done, so are you.

finally shouldn’t we be proud

NASA set to touch down on Mars. We are leading the way. Should be bigger news:
The Perseverance rover is expected to land on Thursday, seeking signs of life on the planet. Amazing.
China? Well, China’s Tianwen-1 is on course to enter Mars on Wednesday, in advance of a landing attempt in May.
China a competitor? “C’mon Man”. They’re 60 days behind us.

have a great day.
