The Beat Goes On ….

Between a President who has trouble with facts and the truth and a press determined to get him, we are faced with a daily drumbeat of charges and counter charges.
The press will stop at nothing to run with any story they can to embarrass and make him look bad. The President for his part will never cease tweeting back and adding fuel to the fire.

Today I watched Good Morning America to see George Stephanopoulos interview Michael Cohen. They keyed in on the payments to the two women and what the President knew and when he knew it. First off, who cares? Does this really matter? In the 2016 election we knew this was an election choice between two people who had problems with the truth. In fact the only person that may have had a bigger issue with the public was his opponent.
Now the other crimes that Michael Cohen committed, like tax evasion and the tax medallions ,have no relation to the President. How many people know that?
Finally, I watched George ask if Cohen felt badly about the way he treated the women and categorized them. I’d like to ask George if he feels badly and remorseful about the way he and the Clinton team categorized Kathleen Wiley and others when he was defending Bill Clinton. In fact George, that was worse. Here they paid money, there you called them names.
Here’s a piece from Larry Elder’s story on that

Hillary Clinton started what was called the ‘war room.’ … This is … in the campaign of 1992, which elected her husband. George Stephanopoulos was part of that. James Carville was part of it. And the purpose of the war room — and Stephanopoulos … of course … doesn’t want to discuss this — was to destroy any woman that would challenge Bill Clinton, because she knew, undoubtedly, that if her husband didn’t make it to the White House, that someday she wouldn’t make it to the White House, either. … She wanted to protect her own interests, and to do that she had to destroy the women who she knew were going to come forward and reveal the alleged sexual harassment and rape, and the intimidation that was about ready to be leveled against these women to keep them quiet.
Elder: “What can you tell us about what Hillary did? What was her role in all of this?”
Klayman: “We know from the various women who had contact. Some of them had contact with Hillary Clinton in Arkansas. They know her way of doing business. … And Stephanopoulos and Carville himself effectively admitted it when they did that documentary, ‘The War Room.’

Now we have holier than thou George? Give me a break.

None of this is to excuse the President, his actions and relationship to the truth. I do not condone or support his actions. It is just to point the hypocrisy and vehemence of the press to get him.

The Probe:

We said yesterday and are further convinced today that there is bad road ahead for the President. Between the Special Prosecutor , the NY Office, the incoming Democrat House and the press, they are determined to get him. There are hearings, charges and investigations coming they will likely lead to charges. The President’s own words will haunt him. I just think it is coming.

Why does he act like he does? This blog said it from day one. Donald Trump grew up as the boss. All his life he never worked for anyone but Donald Trump. Whatever he said or wanted, people did. Nothing happened in his world without him. He could say what he wanted and no one would challenge his word. Now he is getting called out, and he is not used to it or the scrutiny that goes with the truth.

The Wall:

Finally, they are attacking as we talked about. The President put out a video of all the Democrats saying how we need border control and even a wall. They all changed their mind now that Donald Trump wants it, but it is hypocrisy at its best. In the clips are:

Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer,  Hillary Clinton and former President Barack Obama all denouncing illegal immigration, and Mrs. Clinton specifically brags about voting to keep immigrants out with barriers.
At a town-hall-style gathering, Mrs. Clinton says she helped push funding “to build a barrier to try to prevent illegal immigrants from coming in.”
Mr. Schumer says flatly that “Illegal immigration is wrong, plain and simple,” and Mr. Obama says that “We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, unchecked.”
Where is the MSM coverage of this?
Finally:

Put this in the “Really?” department.

Investigators weren’t able to find any text messages between fired agent Peter Strzok and former bureau lawyer Lisa Page from their time on special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe because by the time their phones were recovered, they’d been reset for others’ use, an inspector general said Thursday.
The report also said the FBI still isn’t reliably collecting text messages of all of its employees — despite the black eye the bureau has suffered from Mr. Strzok and Ms. Page.
