Two stories dominant the morning to us. Korea and Comey.
Korea
Watching the meeting this AM between North and South Korea leaders was nothing short of astounding. Kim walked across the border line and the leaders shook hands. A minute later they walked across to the north side and shook hands again. What a moment in the history of the countries and the region. Seventy-five years in the making and full of hope for tomorrow.
You can’t trust them, we get it; but this looks real. In the next month President Trump will meet with Kim and it could be truly historic. It could be a turning point for Korea, for the world and the Trump presidency. Wow.
Comey
The longer he goes on interview shows the lower his credibility and standing go. When have you seen such a disastrous book tour year?
First Hillary and now Comey. I guess they made money, but not enough to buy back their reputations.
Last night Comey did his FoxNews interview on Bret Baier. What amazes us is the things he still says he doesn’t know. Example: He said he doesn’t know, but “heard in the media”, that the Clinton campaign paid for the dossier. What? Say that again. You, who were head of the FBI. You who used the dossier to go to the FISA court. You who led the investigation and began the process and still “don’t know”?
The man has answered so many times that he “doesn’t know” and was “unsure” that we are among those who lost the total respect we had for him.
Add that he “didn’t know” his top aides like McCabe, Strzok and Page were so passionate anti Trump and doing things to get him, and you have to question his leadership.
So on this Friday Korea is up and Comey is down.
