You watch the news and can see the sad state of coverage we are mired in. The top stories and people last night were Jim Comey and his tell all book (as he saw it),  and Stormy Daniels trying to drive people to see her all.
What a sad state as we try and solve world issues and local problems.

Comey will be all over the airwaves the next few weeks as his book is officially released today. His boy scout utterings and love of the FBI come across so clear. Yet, we keep going back to how all his closes staff are under so much fire for partisanship. He can see all the wrongs of the President, but not that?
There is a disconnect there that is interesting.

The circus we thought would occur with Stormy Daniels yesterday was exactly what we saw. Why is this woman getting coverage on evening newscasts? What does she have to offer? She is playing the media and they are allowing it.

So there you have it.
A boy scout who still thinks he didn’t do anything wrong, and every action was to protect the integrity of the FBI. One who sees no fault in his staff; and a stripper who had an affair with the President ten years ago playing the media to drive up her appearance revenue.
We are mired in dirt.

WSJ Poll Today

Some interesting numbers in the WSJ poll released this AM. Highlights:

Right before the election, the share of people who viewed Hillary Clinton unfavorably was 10 points larger than those with a favorable view of her.
Today, her positive rating is at a new low of 27%, compared with 52% who have a negative opinion.
That spread of 25 percentage points is greater than President Trump’s, who is under water by 18 points.

So with all the negative news about President Trump, it is Mrs Clinton who has suffered the greater lose in prestigious. Interesting isn’t it?

A second finding in the poll is that American’s still view the tax cut in a negative light.
36% were negative on the tax cut and 27% positive.
That means the Republicans have done a really poor job of communicating the tax cut. As we have outlined here often this bill was good for the working and middle class.

Here are some other positive/negatives for individuals and groups in the poll:
