Let’s look at the two issues of the day. The Florida shooting aftermath and the Mueller indictment.
The Florida Shooting:
The Democrats and MSM are all about gun control. If only there was gun control the violence would end.
The Republicans are all about mental health. If we would just address that then school violence would end.
Here’s our thoughts. We think both sides are right and then some.
Why does anyone need an AR15? We don’t understand. We support placing limitations on it. We can also support raising the age of gun purchase (but allow hunting, of course, with an adult). We support background checks.
All sensible actions as we see it. Actions that protect people’s rights under the second amendment, but also protect people’s right to safety.
The false thought that a gun law, short of taking everyone’s gun, would work is a fallacy. But placing some controls is right.
We think mental health must also be addressed. A database must be set up. A person visited 39 times by the local police, suspended from school, known to shoot and harm animals, and off his meds must be identified. Personal and civil rights? Yes, of course, but others’ rights to be protected is also vital.
We used to take people off the streets, but today we don’t because they will be stigmatized. Well it’s time to protect citizens and get back to safety for the citizens first. Mental illness is real and the person with it deserves help, and the citizens around them deserve safety and peace of mind.
But that’s only two pieces, we need more. Let’s talk about the schools.
The schools need protection. There must be an armed guard at each of them. Think of all the things that have guards. Anything valuable does. Our children are the most valuable of all and the schools need armed guards.
They also need locked doors and entry by ID. A Nikolas Cruz should never be able to walk into a school like he did.
Then let’s gather the best minds from all sides to ask how else we can protect our families. Stop with guns or mental illness only, and get on to a total solution.
It’s overdue and time’s up for action.
The Mueller Report:
It didn’t take the MSM long to find a way to attack Trump over the report. After 15 straight months of talking “Russian collusion and the Trump campaign” non stop, the report was clear there was none. So what do they pivot to? That Trump said there was no Russian interference.
Now Trump or his campaign may yet face charges on obstruction, but on this issue the media owns him an apology. Don’t hold your breadth.
If you didn’t read the indictment, know these facts:
The campaign was all about disruption and bringing turmoil to the U.S. Nothing more.
It began in 2014. Long before anyone knew Trump was running.
By 2016 they decided to back the two candidates in either party that they thought would bring chaos. Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump.
On one day they organized a pro Hillary and pro Trump rally. Why? Create chaos.
Now realize this. They spent more money after the election than before.
They ran Trump is not My President rallies.
Now does that sound like a partner in collusion or someone trying to create chaos?
One more thing as the MSM continues to show indignation that a foreign power bought social media and tried to influence the election.
Does any reader of this blog think that is the first time this happened? Maybe the first time with such a social media presence, but not the first time.
Does anyone think Russia was the first and only country? Of course not, the media knows better.
Also, how come no one ever mentions that we the United States are involved in foreign elections all over the world. You know that. The media knows that, but as long as this is against Trump they won’t mention it.
Ask them if they remember Obama getting openly involved in Isreal’s presidential election to beat Netanyahu.
Let’s be truthful here.
