Some Tidbits ….

Some Little Known Tidbits:

Here are a few administration accomplishments that you don’t hear much about amid all the negative noise out there.

Regulations:

Ask anyone who has run a business or worked in one how much government regulations have caused it pained.

Well, did you know that President Trump’s administration has cut 22 regulations for every one it has passed? A major accomplishment and one of the reasons companies are doing so well and the market is roaring.

A second area this has impacted is energy independence. We have for over forty years strived to accomplish this. We have made progress this year.
The administration has approved the previously stalled Keystone XL and Dakota Access oil pipelines, lifted restrictions on American energy and ended the war on coal.

The President said this:
“The never-ending growth of red tape in America has come to a sudden, screeching and beautiful halt.”

It has made a difference. More people need to know and understand this.

Judgeships:
President Donald Trump’s 12th federal appeals court nominee was approved by the Senate this week. This set a record for the most circuit court picks confirmed during a president’s first year in office.

The President has selected young conservatives for the lifetime posts. These judges and their impact will easily outlast his presidency. The judges have significant say in almost every area policy. Just look at the 9th circuit and the impact it had on the travel ban.

Add Neil Gorsch to the Supreme Court and the next time you think it wouldn’t have made a difference if Hillary won — remember this.
Judges have long term impacts.

The NFL Ratings:

It didn’t get much play in the MSM but the average TV audience through last Monday night dipped to 8.4 percent below last year.
Think about that. The ratings were down last year and it was blamed on the election year and the politics of the presidential race. Every expert expected an uptick this year.

The NFL is now averaging 15.3 million viewers per game this season, down from 16.7 million last season, according to Nielsen.
That means the total audience watching all NFL games is down 120 million from last season.

This will have an impact when they begin negotiating ad rates and coverage.

The Next Turn:

Yesterday a Democratic Woman candidate for the House had to quit the race. Why? Sexual Harassment charges against her by a male colleague.

She was running in one of the 23 districts that Hillary won but had a Republican congressional person. She had the endorsement of Emily’s List, a liberal women’s group that has raised more than a half-million dollars to help female candidates who support abortion rights.

For those old enough to remember the Virginia Slims ads — “We’ve come a long way baby”
