Buckle up for a media frenzy this week. Two issues jump out:
First it’s Megyn Kelly today. She is going to interview three woman who have accused President Trump of sexual harassment in the past. This will break like new news and get continued coverage in the MSM. You can expect Democrats to react and some ask him to resign. You will see the indignation on media people as to why he should not be held accountable when Al Franken and John Conyers are.
Oh the noise will be loud this afternoon, tonight and into the week.
Now the Trump team will call them liars and say this was decided before the election. But, we heard the tape about what he thought he could do and are about to hear a hundred more times this week.
Oh boy!
The other story will be the election in Alabama and Roy Moore. Suddenly the Dems and MSM are claiming the high road because their predators are resigning. We have outlined here how they were hypocrites in the past with Gary Stubbs, Ted Kennedy and Bill Clinton. Last month they found religion and now they are acting as if they always held that ground.
The Roy Moore story has no good ending for Republicans. They win and the party gets painted as predators, with the Trump interviews perfectly timed for release today. He loses and they lose a seat they need.
Roy Moore did the wrong thing by not quitting the race when we all urged him to. Win or lose tomorrow he hurts the right.
As for the election I know the polls say he is ahead — and why would people tell pollsters they are voting for him and are not? You would expect the opposite. Doesn’t make sense, but we still think he will lose. Turnout is key.
Do They Really Hate Him That Much?
First Brian Ross on ABC last week, and then CNN on Friday run with breaking news stories that they got Trump. The CNN story had the wrong dates on memos claiming Donald Jr. knew about the Wikileakes information before they were released. It turns out the memo was the day after the public release.
Think about that. A second major news organization runs a story that accuses the President of Russian ties and it turns out to be false. Think about the checking that goes into things. Think about the resources to verify. So how does it happen? It all seems to point back to this, the MSM is so convinced Trump won because of the Russians that they run stories before checking. What an incredible bias and they play right into the President’s narrative of “fake news”.
Congress:
Congress has much to do the next ten days. First fund the government. They will take this to the last minute, only because that is how they act these days. Showmanship has long worn thin and yet they continue.
Then tax cuts. The MSM and liberals have managed to make the American people think the bill is bad. They have managed to have the average person think tax cuts are bad. Can you believe that? The federal government cuts personal rates, cuts business rates to bring jobs and money back into the the US and it’s bad?
You know what’s bad? The government spends too much and no one wants to cut anything. The congress has a secret fund to pay off people. The state governments in blue states need to cut taxes and no one talks about it.
Allowing working people to keep more of their earned dollars is not bad.
