Franken, Moore and The President …

Franken, Moore and The President

Al Franken is just another holier than thou blow hard who will now get all he deserves. He was running for President in 2020 and now is running to save his political career. Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.

Now asking immediately for an ethics committee investigation was brilliant. That takes a long time and protects his seat. The last Senate Ethnics Review took over two years. The hope for Franken is the noise dies down and he gets to keep his seat.
Why McConnell proposed that immediately is unknown. Do the think Democrats would have done that for him?

In the WSJ this AM on Franken:
After reviewing Senator Al Franken’s record of admitted drug use while at Saturday Night Live, Jonathan V. Last concludes: “Al Franken isn’t the monster Harvey Weinstein was. But he should never have been let into American public life, either. Having him lose his seat over what he did to Leeann Tweeden would be like getting Al Capone for cheating on his taxes.”

Roy Moore goes on and on. It’s clear now he is not getting out. He will lose and a red seat gone. He will lose because he’s guilty;  but thinks he has a bigger calling. Roy, you don’t and your thoughts are hurting the rest of us.

The President did exactly what he shouldn’t. We said he couldn’t comment on Moore and he didn’t. However, he comments on Franken and goes after him. That opens the door for the MSM to bring up the Trump transgressions and charges. Just plain dumb.

The Democratic Change:

A number of Democrats immediately condemned Franken. No one came to his defense (or asked he resign). Why did they condemn so quickly? They are smart enough to know after the Trump charges and noise they made, added to the Weinstein expose, that anything else was political suicide.

The hypocrisy we have talked about has caught up to them.

The Clinton Fall:

If you needed any proof that the Clinton era is over just look at yesterday.

First, Kirsten Gillibrand, who holds Hillary’s old senate seat from NY, came out and said that Bill Clinton should have resigned and left office with all his scandals. Remember, no Democrat in either house, back then thought so.

Then this poll was released:

The Huffington Post/YouGov survey found 53 percent of those who voted for the former first lady believe the allegations against her husband have merit.
Only eleven percent say the accusations are “not credible”.
Thirty-six percent are not sure or need more information. (Sure they do)

Among President Trump’s base, 84 percent say the accusations are valid, while 4 percent say they are not.

Overall, 57 percent of the country say the accusations against the 42nd president are credible, compared to 8 percent who say they are not.

When your supporters tip you have real issues. Then add this:

Staunch Clinton supporter and ultra left-wing feminist, Chelsea Handler, apologized to Juanita Broaddrick Wednesday evening and said she believed Bill Clinton raped her.

How this came about:

On Sunday, Chelsea Handler took a swipe at Judge Roy Moore and tweeted: “Imagine being molested by an older man. Then that man denies ever doing it and then goes on and gets elected to United States senate. What kind of message does that send to young girls everywhere? And men to all the men who abuse women?”

Juanita Broderick tweeted back this:
Yeah, @chelseahandler I can imagine. I was raped by the Arkansas AG who then becomes Governor & President and NBC held my interview explaining the rape until after his impeachment hearing. But I’m sure you don’t want to go there.

Handler responded:
I’m sorry I’m just seeing this, @atensnut. You are right and I apologize to you for not knowing your story. Democrats along with Republicans and the rest of the worlds’s political parties all need to do better and respect the firsthand accounts of victims. I believe you.

“I believe you”, the Clinton people are turning on them!

Want one more? How about this from Chris Hayes of MSNBC:

“As gross and cynical and hypocritical as the right’s ‘what about Bill Clinton’ stuff is, it’s also true that Democrats and the center left are overdue for a real reckoning with the allegations against him”.

It’s finally coming home to the liberals.

On Taxes:

Remember all the noise and coverage of Republicans voting against the bill in the house? Well the vote was 227-205 to pass the tax cut and only 13 Republicans (out of 240) voted no.
Think about that in light of how much you saw Peter King and others.

Now the Senate is still a toss up in our mind.

And we ask again. Why are Democrats in Red States voting against their constituents? Where is that coverage and question?
