A Terror Attack

We’ll have to await more details on the attacker and understand how and why he did, what he did, before understanding the details we need. For now we will say we are only surprised things like this don’t happen more often. A crazed individual can inject much harm on innocent people. With our freedoms it is impossible to get so deep into individual lives to identify everyone early enough.
Let’s see how this individual got here, what he did while here and when he became radicalized. When we understand that, we can begin the analysis.

Before The Attack

Before the attack the MSM fixated all day on the indictments from Monday. The focus was on what’s to come as the days move on. There were no new revelations and we think everyone on both sides is walking on edge while Mueller goes forward. Yes both sides, as the administration waits to see what else; and the Dems quake over the surprise Podesta resignation.

Press Secretary Sarah Sanders, for the second day in a row, hinted that this would be over shortly. (We think that is more her hope than inside information).
On the other hand a lawyer bringing the charges against George Papadopoulos apparently said his indictment was only the tip of the iceberg.
So take your choice. The people who know  — they aren’t talking.

Our unresolved question remains. Why is it collusion if Trump’s Team met to get dirt and not collusion if the Clinton campaign and DNC paid millions to do the same?
The same for what we know about the Papadopouous action. Here’s the lead from a Washington Newspaper story:
“Former Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos was trying to do what the Democratic-financed dossier writer also wanted: Dirt on the other candidate.
And they both worked out of London and looked east, to Moscow”.

So why he lied remains the mystery.

A Word on Bowe

Bowe Bergdahl gave testimony at his hearing session and explained how horrible his life was and how miserably the Taliban treated him.
Poor Bowe. The Tabilan did not treat the traitor well. They locked him in a cage and beat him.

If you really want to feel bad, just read the stories of those maimed who tried to go find him. Read the wives and children stories of Father’s lost. Father’s doing their duty, above and beyond, out to find a deserter.

Bowe better hope the judge has more sympathy than we do, because we have none. Decision on sentence expected by week’s end.

Here Comes The Tax Plan

Get ready. You heard the noise before the details were out, here they come today.
You know the harping before they start. Tax cuts for the rich. Corporate welfare. Heartless. Lacking compassion.
People seem to forget a minor detail, you have to pay taxes to get a tax break.
Here’s one thought to remember. 20% of our population pays 95% of the taxes. Read that again.

Now think about this. We have a progressive tax system. That means you pay more as you earn additional. So everyone pays the same up to a bracket increase when a higher level kicks in.
Thus consider this:
We raise the zero tax payment from $12K to $24K. That means no one pays taxes on the first $24K of earnings. So in essence the higher income get a break there too. You want to take that break from some? Well you have to raise the tax in other brackets. See the issue?

You want a part of the 20% (who pay 95% of the bill) to pay more? How do you do it then? Eliminating deductions is one option. Let’s see those yelling that the plan is unfair tell us what deduction to take away. How about proposed solutions with your yelling? Don’t hold your breadth.

Finally on taxes we ask again why is fair for people in states with low taxes and spending to have to pay more federal tax, because big tax states can deduct their local taxes? How about fairness here?

The Ratings

Laura Ingraham‘s new 10 p.m. Fox News show came in first for the hour. It drew 3.27 million total viewers. Her lead was commanding (+26 percent over MSNBC’s The Last Word, and a +145 percent lead over CNN Tonight).
This on the night of the indictments which would drive MSNBC and CNN numbers.
