The noise about Donald Jr’s disclosure of a meeting is going to go on and on for a long time. Everything will take a back seat again. It’s a pity that good news with the economy, markets, ISIS and government reform will be left unreported.
What bothers us is not that Donald Jr. took the meeting, but that he invited Jared Kushner and Paul Manafort; that they went, and as the Russia story unfolded none of them disclosed it. All they have done is give credence to the charges that have been floating for nine months. Then you read the emails and you see the words about Russia favoring Trump and how they welcome the assistance. Dumb, dumb, dumb. Did the three of them not think it would come out?
Now if the reports are true that Jared left after seven minutes realizing there was nothing to be learned, Manafort didn’t pay attention and that the meeting ended in 20 minutes with nothing exchanged or learned, why was it hidden? Are we supposed to believe all three forgot it? It just makes you wonder.
I ask myself if I got the email or message that they had information on the Clintons what would I have done? What would you have done? With all the rumors running around about Bill’s payment of $500K for a speech after Hillary approved the uranium deal would you have accepted the meeting? With all the Podesta connections, the server emails and more, would I have wondered what was going on?
It’s hard to say that I would have walked away, and Donald Jr. being so new to elections and believing that there was something about what the Clinton’s did took the meeting.
While we criticize Donald Jr. and the others for how this was handled, isn’t it interesting to think they took the meeting because of the Clinton reputation? If someone had said we have something on Marco Rubio would they have gone? I doubt it. Why is it the Clinton’s are always involved and everyone around them get in trouble, but they escape?
One less Republican on the air.
We make frequent mention of former Democratic members and advisors on the air as non partial experts. We talk often of George Stephanopoulos, Chris Cuomo, Chris Matthews, Al Sharpton etc….. There was a former Republican Congressman on the air. It was Morning Joe himself, Joe Scarborough. Well yesterday he announced he was leaving the Republican party. Surprised? I guess MSNBC and Mika changed him instead of him changing them.
News Not Reported On The MSM:
Did you know that Hispanic/Latino unemployment dropped last month to 4.8%? It was the lowest it has been on record since back in the 1970’s.
Seems like it might be a good news fact to let people know, but somehow it wasn’t. I wonder how the MSM missed it?
Here’s a story I ask you to replace the person who said it with a Republican and the President he references being Obama. As you read ask yourself if you would have heard this on the news.
A Democrat State Rep from Maine (Scott Hamann) said, “Trump is a half term president at most, especially if I get within 10 feet of that p—-y”.
He then says Trump was “installed by the Russians” and seethes against the president, his supporters and Republicans.
That’s an elected Democratic office holder. Not MSM news worthy though.
Try this for size, because it’s not MSM worthy.
“With the help of the research team, we killed a Bloomberg story trying to link HRC’s opposition to the Magnitsky bill to a $500,000 speech that WJC gave in Moscow”.
That message was sent by a Clinton campaign staffer to the campaign’s “HRCRapid” Google group, and was captured by the leaking of campaign chairman John Podesta’s Gmail account emails.
It is referencing the the $500K that Bill got to speak in Russia after Hillary approved the Uranium deal. It was “further reported: Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock”.
Here’s a link to the story you won’t hear from our MSM.

Liberal Cities and Taxes:
We’ve mentioned Seattle in this blog a number of times. Just two weeks ago we reported on the impact of their $15.00 minimum wage. Well here’s another report on them. They just passed a 2.5% city income tax on high incomes ($250K). Interestingly the state of Washington has no state income tax, so Seattle created a city one.
Our experience is any tax like this becomes a permanent one and only increases over time. Take the combined Federal, State and City income taxes and you see why non tax states (and cities) like Texas and Florida are where people are relocating.
The Ratings:
Breaking news that is anti Trump drives up liberal cable ratings. Fox won Monday but it was close. In fact, Maddow had the number one show. Tomorrow when Tuesday is available it may be even more interesting.
