As if to highlight our thoughts that the MSM needs to cover the dangers in the world it was quite a day:
- The U.S. shot down an Syrian drone in Syria.
- An armed Russian Jet flew within 5 feet of a U.S. recon jet in the area.
- There was a terrorist incident in Belgium.
- Anger continued to mount over the N.Korea murder of the U.S. citizen.
- The US reported forces killed a top cleric of the Islamic State of ISIS.
- Cuba rejected Trump’s demand they hand over an escaped cop killer.
- Jared Kushner will travel to the Middle East this week to open peace talks.
With all going on the MSM in the US wants to talk Trump and Russians.
News Tuesday:
Two more special elections and two more times the MSM played it up (remember Kansas and Montana?), that they would be a referendum on Donald Trump. They did so thinking they would have a Democrat win to report and show how unpopular the administration was.
Well after the dust settled, and the Georgia race became the most expensive ever with Democrat money flowing from California, guess what? The Republican candidates won both again.
You know it’s fairly normal for the winning presidential party to lose these special elections as the anti vote always shows up. The fact that the Democrats lost every special election is not good news for them.
But don’t worry, in an hour of this being sent the morning shows will be on and they will be spinning it like this. Republicans win both seats but the margins in these traditional Republican districts was narrowed from twenty plus to low dingle digits. Wait for it.
More News Tuesday:
Two examples of liberal policy that can have an impact yesterday:
First the state of Illnois announced it is grappling with a full-fledged financial crisis and not even the lottery is safe. The state is entering “banana republic” territory facing billions in unpaid bills and pension obligations. The state is hitting a cash crunch and the Governor acknowledged “We can’t manage our money.” Think Chicago and now the state. Liberal policies at work.
Second we told you the push to raise the minimum wage would drive operations to robots and technology to replace people. Well, McDonald’s Corp. stock price hit an all-time high as Wall Street reportedly cheered the replacement of cashiers with kiosks. Their chairperson reported McDonalds will upgrade 2,500 restaurants to its “Experience of the Future” technology by year end, which includes digital ordering kiosks.
Just the beginning. See what kind of coverage this gets.
Do you remember this story?
Do you remember the story of Seth Rich the DNC intern who was murdered on the street? He had leaked information to Wikileakes but they said his murder was a robbery gone wrong. His wallet, cell phone and watch were not taken. Some saw a conspiriacy and cover up here but the DNC and even his parents said no.
Well, yesterday an independent group who have been digging into the case released their investigation findings. The group called The Profiling had a press conference on Tuesday. Here’s a piece of their findings
1. Seth’s death does not appear to be a random homicide
2. Seth’s death does not appear to be a robbery gone bad
3. Seth death was more likely committed by a hired killer or serial murderer
4. There may be additional video surveillance of the crime and crime scene 5. The resolution of prosecuting the individual(s) responsible appears to be hindered both actively and passively
6. Seth’s killer(s) most likely remains free within the community
Ratings News:
Megyn Kelly’s show tanked again on Sunday. Despite all the controversial coverage. She lost more viewers from week two, which was off by three million from a disappointing week one. This week she lost to reruns of 60 Minutes and America’s Funniest Home Video’s. Reruns.
She’s too good to be beaten like this forever, but this is a bad start.
Here’s the viewership for Friday (msnbc wins), Saturday (Fox) and Sunday (Fox).
