PERSONAL NOTE:
Folks, we’re sorry about yesterday and the corrected blog not going until this AM. We have the server issues corrected and all should be well.
The President Decides:
As soon as the President said we are getting out of the Paris agreement the world erupted. The intolerable left was ready with its slogans, charges and impeachment demands. The MSM had a weeks worth of stories. European leaders were ready to denounce. Our thoughts:
The call was a hard one. It was hard because the previous President made an agreement we were now backing out of. That’s always hard to do. On the other side, the deal was a bad one for our country. It was an agreement that was going to cost us billions in dollars and thousands of jobs. So we had a bad deal that was sure to cause an uproar as he cancelled our participation.
Now a few questions.
1. He said he was ready to negotiate a new deal. The Presidents of France and Germany said no. If they were really concerned about the environment wouldn’t they at least consider it?
2. This agreement was supposed to improve things by .2 of 1 point by the year 2100. Since all the other countries are still in what does the U.S. leaving really mean?
3. Why were China and India the largest abusers these days given such reprieves in this agreement?
4. Does anyone believe that we the U.S. who are leading the world in clean air and energy are going to stop now?
5. Was it more our money and jobs that the world is mad about?
6. If the deal was so good how come Obama structured it so he didn’t need to get congressional approval? He alone needed to approve it.
This deal would never have been approved or negotiated by any President other than Barack Obama. He apologized for America and saw us as the cause of much of the world’s grief. It was a bad deal and Trump made a hard call.
Finally, this deal was a large part of the Obama legacy. As with all the executive order overrides by Trump it goes away. If healthcare gets changed there is not much left. We think that Trump may begin reversing the Cuban deal next. That was another bad deal for the U.S. That would leave the Iran agreement and who thinks that was a good deal? Quite a change and what the election was about. Imagine where we would be if Hillary won.
Speaking of Hillary:
She was at it again yesterday, this time at the Javits Center, the same place her broken glass victory speech was set for. She blamed everyone again for her loss. Did you see the list of 34 different excuses (none her) she has blamed? People are beginning to laugh at her and even Democrats are saying enough. She won’t be stopping anytime soon. She has a book coming out and wants sales to make more money!
CNN and Rand Paul on Paris Agreement:
Interesting interview with Jake Tapper and Rand Paul on Paris agreement. You know where CNN stands. Paul was a critic from the outset.
NYC, FALN update:
A little sense finally in NYC. The former FALN terrorist leader (pardoned by Obama) will not now be the “saluted as the June 11 parade’s National Freedom Hero”. He will instead march only as a “humble Puerto Rican and grandfather,” the organizers said”. Yea right, one who was a leader of an organization that had 120 bombings, killed people, maimed others and never repented.
Still a disgrace and supported by the city’s Mayor.
Ratings Wednesday:
Fox won the last day of May. Will be interesting to see Thursday’s with the Trump announcement.
