With all the hysteria this week a few stories we want to make sure you are aware of and our thoughts on them.
The co-founder of the murderous terror group FALN freed:
Did you know that the co-founder of the FALN group was freed this week, as per an Obama pardon on the way out? If you don’t remember the FALN it was a murderous terrorist group. FALN has claimed responsibility for more than 100 bombings in NYC and other US cities in the 1970s and early 1980s. The militant group’s attacks killed six people and wounded at least 130 others, including police officers. One a former NYPD Detective Anthony “Tony” Senft, 70, who lost an eye while trying to defuse a bomb planted by FALN said “It’s really sickening”.
The pardoned terrorist was convicted on a slew of charges, including a conspiracy to overthrow the US government, and spent 36 years behind bars before then-President Barack Obama commuted the rest of his 70-year prison sentence just before leaving office in January.
In our opinion pardoning him at the same time he pardoned the former Bradley, now Chelsey Manning, was a disgrace.
But, to show how far our country’s values have changed, consider this.
Upon his release he “was greeted by a beaming New York City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito, who snapped pictures and swooned like a starstruck schoolgirl”. That’s the number two person in the NYC government. She said this,“today after 35 years our beloved Oscar is FREE!” Bad enough? Not quite, see how this feels. López Rivera is slated to be honored at the Big Apple’s Puerto Rican Day Parade on June 11.
That’s right, he is being honored by NYC.
Detectives’ Endowment Association President Michael Palladino said Mark-Viverito is celebrating “a terrorist.” He added, “On behalf of the cops he injured and civilians he killed, I condemn the speaker for her words and actions. Any politician who embraces evil and terror has no business holding office in this country.”
That’s the country I remember, but it no longer exists.
Maxine Waters a Democrat Spokesperson speaks again:
Thursday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Rep Maxine Waters (D-CA) discussed her multiple calls for the impeachment of President Donald Trump and claimed during the 2016 presidential campaign Trump calling his opponent, Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton “crooked” and the rally crowds chanting “lock her up,” was “a play from Putin’s playbook.”
Trump should be impeached, Waters said, “I am talking about strategies that were developed working with the Trump campaign. I really do believe that much of what you saw coming out of Trump’s mouth was a play from Putin’s playbook. I think that when you saw him absolutely calling Hillary crooked, the “lock her up, lock her up” all of that was developed. I think that was developed strategically with people from the Kremlin, with Putin, and I think it’s more than bank records.”
Don’t you think this is MSM worthy? Did you see it anywhere except maybe Fox?
Trump “might have” what with intelligence?
Much noise this week that Trump “might have” shared some intelligence data at his meeting with the Russians. They might share with the Iranians they said. Anyone remember Obama’s meeting with Castro and the deal he signed? Here’s a report:
“A little noticed Obama administration directive on Cuba, released Oct. 14, instructed the U.S. director of national intelligence to assist and cooperate with Cuba’s intelligence services. The directive has raised red flags on Capitol Hill, where some lawmakers are concerned that Cuba will pass along critical U.S. intelligence to the Iranians, who have made moves in recent years to extend their influence in the communist country and other Latin American countries hostile to the United States. Iran’s interest in Cuba was on full display earlier this year when Javad Zarif, Iran’s foreign minister, went on a goodwill tour throughout Latin America that included stops in Cuba and Venezuela, among others.”
There’s a lot more in that agreement if you want to research it. Compare it to what “might have” happened this week and see which concerns you more.
Immigration arrests up 38 percent:
Amid all the negativity some positive things are happening but unreported. This is one:
“Immigration arrests surged 38 percent during the first 100 days of President Trump’s tenure, authorities said Wednesday, adding that agents have been freed from the tight restrictions of the Obama era and are now able to target a far broader universe of illegal immigrants for deportation. Criminals still dominate the docket, accounting for nearly 30,500 of the immigrants arrested from Jan. 22 to April 29 — up nearly 20 percent compared with a year before”.
The passing of Roger Ailes and cable ratings:
The passing of Roger Ailes seems to mirror the continued decline of FoxNews. On Tuesday Msnbc again won primetime and Maddow dominated.
