Odds and Ends

Who does the President’s planning? Why would they have Chris Christie in the WH high fiving the President on the day and time his two top aides are being sentenced for Bridgegate? A media disaster.

Gallup today: “Trump’s Approval Rating Unusually Low, Unusually Early”.  The story says: “As the first president in Gallup’s polling history to start his term with a job approval rating below the majority level, Donald Trump has already received the all-time lowest approval ratings of any president in his first year.”
Other polls Rasmussen, PPD, CBS all show his disapproval to be 12+ points higher than his approval rating. The MSM  beat down is having an impact.

WSJ today writes this: “Democrats now have a “realistic” chance of taking back the House in 2018, writes Josh Kraushaar of National Journal: “Republicans, with control of the White House and Congress, look embarrassingly incapable of governing. The political consequences are severe: GOP voters are likely to be demoralized in the run-up to next year’s midterm elections, especially if President Trump is unable to achieve any other legislative victories.”
Imagine that. Pelosi and Schumer as leaders in house and senate.

Is Freedom Caucus running scared now? We keep hearing that intense negotiations are going on to raise the healthcare bill again.
The whole healthcare issue is a loser. It divided the Republican party. The bill was judged to raise costs and lower the number covered. It dented Trump’s image as a deal maker and made Republican congress look inept.

The MSM continues to blow up and express indignation over the Russian involvement in the election. Yet, no evidence of any connection to date. But, not a word about the illegal leakers and how they broke the law. Why is that?

Yet, more than half the Democrats in the Senate now say they will vote against Judge Gorsuch. Can you believe that? For no reason other than Trump nominated him. Will they pay for this? Watch how media plays it. They would bury the Republicans in reverse.

Are we saying the media is anti? Look at today’s NYT lead stories. You judge:
