Sunday Special
The media has delighted this weekend in the Seattle judge saying Trump’s travel ban is illegal and a misspeak by Kellyanne Conway.
The judge halted the ban and now the administration will go to the appeals court and seek a stay on his ruling. This morning the appeals court upheld the ruling. The fight is a long way from over as both sides are dug in. No matter the outcome on this one, immigration will be an issue for Trump’s entire time. He wants to place limits and there are many on the left who believe the U.S. should have open borders. As noted many times the main stream media has sided with the anti Trump’s and their drumbeat will continue. The people still favor the Trump ban.
The media also delighted today in what Kellyanne Conway called a misspoken word. She said the “Bowling Green Massacre” as oppossed to the “Bowling Green Terrorist”. Her tweet:
I misspoke I was referring to the two “Bowling Green terrorists”
Here’s the history for those wondering:
What Kelly said:
– “I bet it’s brand new information to people that President Obama had a six-month ban on the Iraqi refugee program after two Iraqis came here to this country, were radicalized and were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green massacre,” she said. “Most people don’t know that because it didn’t get covered.”
The History of the terrorists arrested:
-Two Iraqi citizens, (living in Bowling Green) Mohanad Shareef Hammadi and Waad Ramadan Alwan, were indicted on federal terrorism charges. According to a Justice Department news release from January 2013, the two men had attempted to send weapons and money to Al Qaeda in Iraq with the aim of killing American soldiers there. Both defendants pleaded guilty to the federal charges, and Mr. Hammadi was sentenced to life in federal prison while Mr. Alwan, whose fingerprints were found on an unexploded improvised explosive device in Iraq, was sentenced to 40 years in federal prison, with a life term of supervised release.Assistant Attorney General Lisa Monaco said at the time, “These two former Iraqi insurgents participated in terrorist activities overseas and attempted to continue providing material support to terrorists while they lived here in the United States. With today’s sentences, both men are being held accountable.”
The MSM jumped all over this. Chelsea Clinton tweeted at Conway.
– “Very grateful no one seriously hurt in … the (completely fake) Bowling Green Massacre,” Clinton tweeted. “Please don’t make up attacks.”
Conway went back at Clinton’s moralizing her:
– “honest mistakes abound” and suggested reacting to such cases with “class, grace, deep breath.”
Then added about Hillary’s claim about deboarding under fire in Bosnia.
– Bosnia lie a Great reminder. And 2 @ChelseaClinton & others, you can’t “invent” quality candidates either. I misspoke; you lost the election.
The MSM will delight in attacking Conway after the way she beat them up in the election.
