The news goes on …..

With the news being more of the same we have been light on our blogs. We don’t see why writing anything that would be a repeat is worth your time.
So if you don’t see blogs for days, it’s because you know where we stand.
Now let’s catch up on some news.

The Wall – Lot’s of News

First the news of about 1,000 Central American migrants traveling through Mexico toward the U.S. border has become a hot-button political issue.
Once they get to the border and claim political asylum we must let them in. Thus the divide.
The President’s “build a wall”. The Hillary position, “Open Borders”.
This march may make more Americans aware of the policy that if someone says “political asylum” we must let them in and evaluate. I bet most do not know this.
The second thing is does Mexico care they are marching through their country because they are heading to the U.S. border? We doubt it.

Thus the Wall. A survey this AM of (600) border patrol agents, those closes to the issue came out this way.
89 percent think we need a wall. Only 7% said we don’t.
We tend to trust those doing the job.

Now the problem for us remains the cost and payment. After riling up the country for 15 months that “Mexico will pay for it” and “mark my words” what happened?

And so the fight goes on. A country needs good borders and to know who is coming in. We can argue on how many, but not border control.

What’s with these people?

How many people in this administration have shown poor judgement? Add this one.
The E.P.A. chief Scott Pruitt, was renting an apartment for $50.00 a day, owned by the wife of the chairman of the lobbying firm, of a client, that sought the agency’s sign off on a pipeline project.

Even if nothing was wrong how could one so smart allow this appearance? We don’t get it, and he won’t last.

The police and crime

The MSM continues to show over and over police shootings and creating the impression these police are wrong and implying all police are biased and trigger happy.
Yet police officers are murdered weekly and it gets little coverage. Add that for each shooting there is an investigation and most times the police are cleared.
Why does the MSM persist in presenting such a negative picture?

Now let’s be clear. If a police officer sets out one morning to kill or harm they should pay the price as any criminal does. But without evidence how can they so condemn these officers? It’s a hard job protecting the public and we need to present them in the light that they do their jobs.

As an aside take a look at a show we have mentioned before on A&E called Live PD.
Follow the officers live as they do their jobs on Friday and Saturday night. Think how you would react in such a situation and job.

BTW, the moderator of the show is ABC’s legal analyst Dan Abrams. Maybe it’s just us but he comes across as a strong understander of the job and the police on Friday and Saturday night.
Then on GMA as they present story after story on police shooting he seems to take their liberal bend.
Again, maybe it’s just us.

How do people feel about the police?
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 67% of American Adults rate the performance of the police in the area where they live as good or excellent. That’s down just slightly from 70% in 2016.  Just seven percent (7%) rate their local cops poorly.
You wouldn’t know that watching the MSM.

We’ve talked about the non support for the police in Baltimore. Well yesterday we read they had a record 343 homicides in 2017. When the Mayor and DA went after the police this was easy to predict.
Would you move to Baltimore?

Two weeks ago we reported the release of a three cop killer named Herman Bell in NYC. The city said he was rehabilitated after thirty-five years of denying he committed the murders, he did. The wife of one dead officer asked where she goes to get her husband back after 40 years?

Add this one in NYC.
“Christina Rivera was just a baby when a cocaine-crazed addict walked into her two-family home in East New York, Brooklyn, packing two silencer-equipped .22-caliber handguns, and systematically shot everyone there but her. There were 10 dead in all — her mother, her two older brothers, six other children ages 4 to 14 and another young mother who was six months pregnant. Each one was shot in the head. It was April 15, 1984, a rainy Palm Sunday”.

The killer was paroled. A killer of 10, including eight children is released.
BTW, he moved in with his Mom, next to a kid school center.

Some would say we have lost our values. Liberals say otherwise. The MSM just doesn’t cover this. It doesn’t fit their narrative.

Here’s another NY story to show how out of whack we are.
“The Brooklyn Museum has sparked outrage in the black community after tapping a white woman to curate its vast African art collection.
On Monday, the museum appointed Kristen Windmuller-Luna, 31, who has a Ph.D. in African art history from Princeton University, lectures in Columbia University’s department of art history and archaeology, and once worked as an educator for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where she was “responsible for adult and college gallery tours in the African galleries. ”Despite the stellar résumé, her hiring left some wondering why a qualified person of color did not get the post.
“Seriously, @brooklynmuseum? There goes the neighborhood for good,” opined journalist Ernest Owens”.
Qualification doesn’t matter in some circles. – only origin or color.
It’s wrong to deny a person a position or role because of color or origin no matter which way.
