We’ve been …

We’ve been quiet because the news has been self explanatory. If you watch the MSM then guns are the evil, Trump is the devil, collusion proof against the administration is coming.

If you watch conservative media, it is the person with the gun, the real collusion is with the Democrats and the Russians, Trump is saving America and the MSM is evil.

Trump’s Ratings:

Take your choice on who you believe. Ask yourself did you ever see such a wide difference? Is his approval plus 1 or minus 22?

President Trump Job Approval CNN Approve 39, Disapprove 56 Disapprove +17
President Trump Job Approval USA Today/Suffolk Approve 38, Disapprove 60 Disapprove +22
President Trump Job Approval Marist Approve 40, Disapprove 53 Disapprove +13
President Trump Job Approval Rasmussen Reports Approve 50, Disapprove 49 Approve +1

So the issues are the same and we have clearly laid out our positions. All the noise is impacting the ratings. Take a look below.

Wrenching ……

it was nothing short of heart rendering watching the meeting with the President yesterday. We must do something. How, as that Father so clearly said, have we allowed this to go on so long?

What was also clear is there is no single answer. The people yelling gun control are being too simplistic. Yes we can outlaw certain guns but that is not the solve all. We say again we have outlawed cocaine, crack and other drugs, did that solve the problem? Pass a gun law, and law abiding people will follow it, the element committed to crime will not. Check any law and see that.

No this must be a comprehensive approach. Last week we outlined our thoughts and some of you came bak with ideas to add to it. Here’s our thoughts today:

  • Raise the age limit to buy a gun to 21.
  • Lock the school doors with one entry point.
  • People must be allowed in. No free access.
  • Make the glass at the entry point bullet proof. (Thank you to a reader for this)
  • Put an arm guard in every school. Not openly visible at every door, but close by in case they are needed.
  • If the average shooting is 3-4 minutes and police response is 5-6, we need on premise protection for our kids. End.
  • The question of teachers, coaches, administrators being armed should be a city and state decision. Some might want this and others not. Let local areas decide. This cannot be a national decision.
  • Increase background checks. Take the time needed. Five, six, ten days is fine with us.
  • Create a database for incidents. We need to know the police went to the Cruz household 39 times. That he was suspended from school, harms animals  and now wants to buy a weapon.
  • Mental health can no longer be an individual “stigmatization” issue. We need to consider the safety of our citizens first.
  • Finally we come down on the side that people do not need AR15’s. We do not favor limiting all guns, but these weapons serve what purpose?

This proposal is as good a place to start as any we have heard. It is not so simple as the left saying “gun control”. That would do nothing. It is the person pulling the trigger we need to identify, understand and stop.  If they get through the cracks or buy a gun off the street, we need to stop them at the place they want to do damage. We need a full solution and we need it to protect our children and grandchildren. I know liberals are saying an armed guard at the schools will scare the children. That is why we say the person can be off the door, in the office or on the side. But they must be there. Any potential shooter must know he will be met immediately by armed resistance if they dare try. That alone will deter many.
A comprehensive plan is needed — now. Nothing less.

More on Mueller,Russians N.Korea, Guns and Pelosi …..

We made a point about the hysteria over the Mueller indictments and our (U.S.) involvement in foreign elections.  Here’s an interview with ex CIA Director James Woolsey on that question:

“Have we ever tried to meddle in other countries’ elections?” Laura Ingraham asked former CIA Director James Woolsey.

With a grin, Woolsey replied, “Oh, probably.”

“We don’t do that anymore though?” Ingraham interrupted. “We don’t mess around in other people’s elections, Jim?”

“Well,” Woolsey said with a smile. “Only for a very good cause.”

Remember this old phrase.
One man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter.

The Russians think they are doing a “good cause” and the media is playing into their hands.

Want more proof? Here’s an LA Times story report:

The U.S. has a long history of attempting to influence presidential elections in other countries – it’s done so as many as 81 times between 1946 and 2000, according to a database amassed by political scientist Dov Levin of Carnegie Mellon University.

That number doesn’t include military coups and regime change efforts following the election of candidates the U.S. didn’t like, notably those in Iran, Guatemala and Chile. Nor does it include general assistance with the electoral process, such as election monitoring.

Levin defines intervention as “a costly act which is designed to determine the election results [in favor of] one of the two sides.” These acts, carried out in secret two-thirds of the time, include funding the election campaigns of specific parties, disseminating misinformation or propaganda, training locals of only one side in various campaigning or get-out-the-vote techniques, helping one side design their campaign materials, making public pronouncements or threats in favor of or against a candidate, and providing or withdrawing foreign aid.

In 59% of these cases, the side that received assistance came to power, although Levin estimates the average effect of “partisan electoral interventions” to be only about a 3% increase in vote share.

The U.S. hasn’t been the only one trying to interfere in other countries’ elections, according to Levin’s data. Russia attempted to sway 36 foreign elections from the end of World War II to the turn of the century – meaning that, in total, at least one of the two great powers of the 20th century intervened in about 1 of every 9 competitive, national-level executive elections in that time period.

Now to again point out the folly of the media hysteria that this may have swung the election look at these numbers from Byron York yesterday:

“The Russians spent $46,000 on Facebook prior to the election. Hillary and Trump spent $81 million.  We should punish Russia because the right amount they should spend is zero. But a little perspective is helpful. Russia influenced the election the same way a drop influences an ocean”.

Let’s put this Trump collusion story to bed and see if the MSM can possibly just mention that the Clinton campaign may have had collusion with the Steele Dossier. Not a single mention.
Plus did Obama officials lie before congress that they didn’t know who paid for the dossier. Hard to believe they didn’t.

As for the President his tweet “Obama was President up to, and beyond, the 2016 Election. So why didn’t he do something about Russian meddling?” is ridiculous.
If we wanted Obama three we would have elected Hillary. We voted for you. You’ve been elected for 16 months and  President for 13. Stop with the Obama and do something here.

The Vice President in Korea:

Speaking of the MSM don’t you think they owe Vice President Pence an apology for the negative coverage of his actions in Korea for the Olympics?

Today we hear that two hours before the public opening ceremony that they criticized him for not acknowledging the sister of Kim Jong-un,  the N. Koreans cancelled a private meeting that was set. So they snubbed us.

The media led by CNN certainly made her the hero and him the goat. Do you think they will report this and eat some humble pie?

Guns:

Good to see the President taking some actions and getting in front of this issue. The fact that some of the actions we discussed earlier this week makes us even happier.
It’s time for gun action, mental health (we think this is next in his agenda) and school safety. Take the lead Mr President.

Speaker Pelosi?

The chances of a Speaker Pelosi with the November elections got even better yesterday. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court (4-3 decision with Democratic appointments voting in favor) imposed a new congressional map for the state that will give Democrats a big boost in their effort to retake the U.S. House of Representatives in November’s midterm elections. It looks a minimum three seat pick up, possibly six.
That would be 25% of what the Dems need in one state alone!

More on Mueller Indictment ….

The MSM seems to not understand the Mueller indictments yet. They are still catching up to the story, but their blinded bias is preventing clear sight.. It comes down to this:

The Russians wanted to create chaos in the US election. It is that simple.
Why?
Simple too.
If you wanted to bring the U.S. down how would you do it?
You can’t do it militarily.
You can’t do it economically. So what’s left?
You have to destroy it from within. That is the only way.
And that is what this is all about.
Create division, have people question legitimization and divide the nation.

The MSM still can’t see it. They are so anti Trump and simply cannot accept Hillary lost. The fact they are playing into the Russian desire is not evident to them.

Here’s a story that broke this AM on coverage of the anti Trump rally the Russians ran after the election and how CNN and MSM+NBC covered it:

A check of their November 12 coverage showed both CNN and MSNBC gave enthusiastic coverage to the Russian-organized anti-Trump rally that day, with live reports every hour. Correspondents celebrated the idea that it was “a love rally,” and repeated the marchers’ anti-Trump mantras, such as: “We reject the President-elect.”

While the two liberal anti-Trump networks offered heavy coverage of the anti-Trump rally throughout the day, a check of coverage between noon and 5:00 p.m. Eastern found that the Fox News Channel offered only a short re-cap (66 seconds) at the start of their 4:00 p.m. Eastern hour.

Of course, none of the networks were aware of who was allegedly behind the march, but CNN and MSNBC reveled in the inflammatory messages of the march. At one point, MSNBC anchor Alex Witt credulously responded to the ridiculously alarmist rhetoric: “That woman, when she’s saying she’s concerned that black people will be shot in the street….Is that a legitimate concern for her? Because, that’s scary.

Correspondent Morgan Radford cheerfully played along: “Alex, it’s not only a legitimate concern for her, it’s a legitimate concern for a lot of people I’ve spoken to….They’re wondering if this [Trump’s election] is almost a license to carry in terms of hate.”

Now remember what we told you yesterday. The Russians spent more money after the election than before (56%). Did you hear that on the MSM? How does this fact fit their collusion narrative?

Remember too that they apparently spent less a thousand dollars in the key states of Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The main stream news media question — “did they change the election outcome” is beyond credible.
At some point they should examine how they were mislead and fooled. Just don’t hold your breadth until they do.

Here’s a link to a great article by Byron York that outlines the Russian spend. It outlines full details. Did you hear any of this on the MSM?
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/byron-york-a-non-alarmist-reading-of-the-mueller-russia-indictment/article/2649445

NYT Coverage:

An example of media bias. Here are the B+NYT stories on the Mueller indictments which remember said no collusion for the Trump campaign.

Saturday the day it broke:

Monday:

You get the idea. Where is the story that says:

After 18 months of stories and coverage accusing the Trump campaign and the President himself of collusion the Mueller team finds no involvement and only Russian interference.

Reaction to yesterday’s blog

We took note this AM of the poll release that a majority of Americans want mental illness questions addressed immediately and gun control was second. That was followed by school security.
We outlined all three yesterday and if congress can’t listen to the people instead of staying in their lanes then we have an issue.
Let’s keep the pressure on and get all three done.

The Ratings:

No updates available.

Two Issues ….

Let’s look at the two issues of the day. The Florida shooting aftermath and the Mueller indictment.

The Florida Shooting:

The Democrats and MSM are all about gun control. If only there was gun control the violence would end.

The Republicans are all about mental health. If we would just address that then school violence would end.

Here’s our thoughts. We think both sides are right and then some.

Why does anyone need an AR15?  We don’t understand. We support placing limitations on it. We can also support raising the age of gun purchase (but allow hunting, of course, with an adult). We support background checks.
All sensible actions as we see it. Actions that protect people’s rights under the second amendment, but also protect people’s right to safety.
The false thought that a gun law, short of taking everyone’s gun, would work is a fallacy. But placing some controls is right.

We think mental health must also be addressed. A database must be set up. A person visited 39 times by the local police, suspended from school, known to shoot and harm animals, and off his meds must be identified. Personal and civil rights? Yes, of course, but others’ rights to be protected is also vital.

We used to take people off the streets, but today we don’t because they will be stigmatized. Well it’s time to protect citizens and get back to safety for the citizens first. Mental illness is real and the person with it deserves help, and the citizens around them deserve safety and peace of mind.

But that’s only two pieces, we need more. Let’s talk about the schools.

The schools need protection. There must be an armed guard at each of them. Think of all the things that have guards. Anything valuable does. Our children are the most valuable of all and the schools need armed guards.

They also need locked doors and entry by ID. A Nikolas Cruz should never be able to walk into a school like he did.

Then let’s gather the best minds from all sides to ask how else we can protect our families. Stop with guns or mental illness only, and get on to a total solution.
It’s overdue and time’s up for action.

The Mueller Report:

It didn’t take the MSM long to find a way to attack Trump over the report. After 15 straight months of talking “Russian collusion and the Trump campaign” non stop, the report was clear there was none. So what do they pivot to? That Trump said there was no Russian interference.
Now Trump or his campaign may yet face charges on obstruction, but on this issue the media owns him an apology. Don’t hold your breadth.

If you didn’t read the indictment, know these facts:
The campaign was all about disruption and bringing turmoil to the U.S. Nothing more.
It began in 2014. Long before anyone knew Trump was running.
By 2016 they decided  to back the two candidates in either party that they thought would bring chaos. Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump.
On one day they organized a pro Hillary and pro Trump rally. Why? Create chaos.
Now realize this. They spent more money after the election than before.
They ran Trump is not My President rallies.
Now does that sound like a partner in collusion or someone trying to create chaos?

One more thing as the MSM continues to show indignation that a foreign power bought social media and tried to influence the election.
Does any reader of this blog think that is the first time this happened? Maybe the first time with such a social media presence, but not the first time.
Does anyone think Russia was the first and only country? Of course not, the media knows better.
Also, how come no one ever mentions that we the United States are involved in foreign elections all over the world. You know that. The media knows that, but as long as this is against Trump they won’t mention it.
Ask them if they remember Obama getting openly involved in Isreal’s presidential election to beat Netanyahu.

Let’s be truthful here.

Some Thoughts ….

First on the shooting in Florida. Why, why is this happening so much more? Why didn’t it happen in the past? That is the first question to try and understand what to do. Why?

On solutions, what does gun control mean? Outlaw the AR15? We are fine with that. Why is it needed anyway?
But is that going to solve the problem? Short of going home to home (like Australia) and taking every gun, how is that going to help? Someone will use pistols, bombs or other means.
We ask again.
You outlawed drugs and how is that working out? In fact, many of the same people yelling the loudest to outlaw guns use illegal drugs. Once again choosing what laws they decide to follow.

Mental health is an issue too. We don’t want to stigmatize people by keeping records and taking anyone off the streets. Just think of the ACLU going to court for the right of the homeless to be on the street and not taken to shelters. “It is their right”. They don’t want any records known or shared.
Well it our right to protect society and our children and grandchildren too.

So, we think outlawing the AR15 and stricter checks and control on who gets access to guns is good. But not the total answer. The other side saying we must do more on mental issues is also right, but not the total answer. It is both.
And, then answering the question why.

Finally there is this. We will hear in the MSM all about gun control. We bet when they finish looking into the background of this killer there were many warnings. We bet the police were alerted many times, the school system knew and the social aspects were there. We bet when he purchased his gun there was no record of any issue. They were not done to protect his rights. So 17 died and families destroyed for his rights.
Answer the why too if you want a total solution.

Other news:

It appears that Richard Gates a former Trump campaign advisor is making a deal with Mueller. What about? That is unknown but it may be related to financial dealings he had with foreign countries. In either case the MSM will make a big deal of this so get ready.

Speaking of this where is the Democratic memo that Schiff was so vocal about? It was sent back to him on FBI concerns. Awful quiet isn’t it since? Makes you wonder if it was all a sham on their part to muddy the Republican one. Will we ever get real facts and truth?

Can you believe they had four votes on immigration yesterday and of course none passed. Of the four the President’s plan, which we continue to support got the least amount of votes. Can you believe that congress can’t solve this?  I am beginning to wonder if they want to. More on this next week.

ABC ran another big segment on a Trump affair in 2006 with a Playboy Playmate. Why? It was consensual. It was 10 years before he announced for the Presidency. It’s not a surprise. It’s between him and his wife. The station that refuses to talk to Juanita Broderick and others is running headline segments on this. Shameful

Happy Valentines Day …

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY to all our readers and supporters. We hope you find love in your lives — because you won’t find it in Washington DC among  the parties; nor will you find any love in the MSM for the President.
They never report anything positive and today are running with a love story of a different kind. The payoff by the President’s attorney to a porn star. They love that.
For us, we don’t care. What he did before he got in the oval office is not my business. It’s between him, his wife and family. Now if he did it in the oval office and lied about it, I would care. The MSM on the other hand cares about things the other way around.

We don’t see a need …

We’ve limited blogs recently as we think the issues are clear to all. We don’t want to take your time to repeat what you know. You don’t need us writing:

Trump is wrong not to condemn clearly domestic violence.

The MSM is ridiculous with their continued coverage of Rob Porter’s spousal history. It’s not the story of the year.
It’s their bias for an anti Trump story.

You know why the MSM has never covered or mention all the stories about Democratic collusion that Fox carries all day.
At least Fox mentions the domestic issues.

The way the MSM is treating N. Korea at the Olympics is a disgrace. They should be saying Trump’s tough words are driving them to find a way out.

That Justice Ginsburg should resign. Before the election she said she was leaving the country if Trump won. He did, she didn’t.
Her new theme? He won because we are anti woman.
No, he won because she was unlikeable and untrustworthy.

You don’t need us to say the budget deal made for too much spending. Your question is ours. What happened to balanced budget goals?

That the President put out a fair DACA deal (except that Mexico is not paying for the wall), and Democrats have not acted. Makes you wonder if they really want a deal.
Why are they so against ending chain and lottery immigration?

We know your reaction is the same as ours that Senator Bob Corker (Tn.) is considering not retiring and running again.
Is Senator Flake (Ar.) next?
To both we say, go ahead. Let’s see you survive a primary. Bet you can’t.

You saw the new Presidential portraits of Michelle and the former President and had a thought and opinion. We did too.

You get the idea. It’s all clear to readers of this blog.

Short Takes …

Unemployment Filings:

If Obama were still President how big a story would this be on the news tonight?
“The number of Americans filing for unemployment benefits unexpectedly fell last week, dropping to its lowest level in nearly 45 years as the labor market tightened further, bolstering expectations of faster wage growth this year”.
Instead I bet they have three negative Trump stories first.

News Stories:

More proof that November is going to bring a Democratic landslide (and the return of Nancy Pelosi as speaker).
A Democratic win in a special election, this time in Missouri, where Mike Revis won a 3-point victory in House District 97, which President Donald Trump had won by 28 points.
Think about that, Democrats are winning in areas Trump dominated. Anti people vote.

Did you see the Democratic field for 2020 is starting to take shape and it looks like a lot are planning to run. The latest yesterday was Eric Holder, the former attorney general under Obama.
In our view he was one partisan for sure. We think he runs. Here’s his comments:
“I think I’ll make a decision by the end of the year about whether there is another chapter in my government service,” he said. Possibly the presidency? a reporter asked. “We’ll see,” said Mr. Holder.

Low tax states are pursuing high tax state high earners and businesses. This story in a NY newspaper:
“Yes, they are actively poaching and, yes, change of residence is easy,” said Kathryn Wylde, president of the New York City Partnership, the city’s top business advocacy group.
Even losing a few hundred millionaires could wreak havoc on city and state budgets.
The top 1 percent of earners accounts for nearly half of all Big Apple income-tax revenue, which funds government services, the partnership said in an analysis of the new tax law.
The study showed that a typical family of four that earns $175,000 in the city will pay 25 percent of its income in taxes, compared with 14 percent for the same family in Florida.
A Florida single resident making $10 million gets $227,619 in tax relief, while the same earner in New York gets socked with a $257,177 tax hike because of the loss of state and local tax deductions.
Economic-development officials in Palm Beach County — home of President Trump’s Mar-A-Lago club — are salivating.
“The new Trump tax law is helping with our recruiting. New York is taxing the rich. Palm Beach is rolling out the red carpet,” said Kelly Smallridge, head of the Palm Beach County’s Business Board.

The answer for for the Big 3 northeast governors (NY, NJ, Ct) is to try and devise schemes like “charitable taxes” to fight back.  Two of them are talking about raising taxes!

We suggest you might want try reducing taxes.
By the way, what services do you miss when visiting Florida or Texas that those three states offer?

Some Stories If You Want To Read Them

Here’s a link to Carter Page’s closed door testimony to congress. In it he says “I never met, talked to, emailed or texted with Donald Trump”
https://intelligence.house.gov/uploadedfiles/carter_page_hpsci_hearing_transcript_nov_2_2017.pdf

Here’s a story that goes back to CNN calling Trump crazy for saying the dossier was paid for by the Democrats, Clinton and the FBI.
http://www.breitbart.com/big-journalism/2018/02/07/fake-news-flashback-cnn-declared-trump-bonkers-saying-clinton-dems-behind-dossier/

Here’s one on the dossier offering a full recap on where we are and the FBI reliance on it and what they disclosed to the FISA court. You won’t here this on the MSM.

Finally as you hear liberals yell about the deficit (what a joke that is) read what the IRS says about Obamacare for 2017. They overpaid by $3.5 Billion!

On it goes ….

On it goes:

The battle over who did what with the Russians goes on and on. Everyday depending on what channel you watch it is either:

Trump and his team were corrupt, and look at what they did and are hiding.
OR
Wait, the heads of the investigation were Clinton fans, and look at what they did.

This morning we have the Schiff tapes where he tried to get information (and pictures) from Russians on Donald Trump. The same Schiff who called Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting to get dirt on Hillary a crime.
Yes, he did the same thing.
But you wouldn’t know it unless you watched Fox or Fox Business. The other cable and network stations did not consider that newsworthy.

Another example is the Democratic memo that Trump has. On pro Trump stations they are saying the Democrats included information that must be redacted, and they did it to yell that Trump is covering up.

On the other cable and network stations they are accusing the White House of doing to this memo what was not done to the Republican one.

So where is truth? Most likely closer to the middle, but in the end the truth must lie on one side of the ledger and not the other.

How will we ever know?

Remember this name — Michael Horowitz.
Who is he?
He is the Department of Justice (DOJ) inspector general.
He has been conducting a probe of the FBI’s handling of the 2016 investigation into Hillary’s use of the private email server.
He has done it quietly and very thoroughly, and the report is expected within the next 30-60 days. It could come in March.

His investigation  already has reportedly contributed to the early resignation of Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe.

He also uncovered the series of text messages between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page that led special counsel Mueller to remove Strzok from his team.

You get the idea. So remember that name and the report coming. It may provide some truth.

News and news …..

Some Quick Catch-up:

Amid the noise of dossiers and market tumbles pay attention to Afghanistan. This administration has a more hawkish view of military use than the dovish Obama administration. They are moving troops out of Iraq to Afghanistan. Some things to know and watch:
They are not moving all troops like Obama did and allowing ISIS to establish itself and grow. They will maintain a presence to assure gains are kept.
Afghanistan though is another issue. The Taliban have been very active recently and made some gains. The administration tried negotiating with them but it went no where.
So after some recent bombings we are going after them. Troops are moving in and air strikes will be heavy.
Watch the news coverage catch up to this. It will be negative and Afghanistan will be called “our longest war” and “not winnable”.
It may be un-winnable, as there is no real government, an uneducated population, lack of infrastructure and a history of countries coming in and walking away. People are afraid to align with us because if we leave they will be killed.
It’s a mess, and yet we know if we leave it will become a breeding ground for terrorists again.

Stay tuned. Trump and team will error on the side of aggressiveness. This will be the foreign policy issue of the year.

The Market Declines:

What we expect:
We expect today will be a little bumpy again, up and down, and in a day or two we’ll level off. Lot’s of noise from the MSM but all we’ve done is give back the 2018 gains. The 2017 gains are still there and the fundamentals are good.

The question we always ask someone is this: “Do you think the market will hit a new all time high in your lifetime?”
If the answer is yes, then what are you worried about?

Hey Chuck it’s Feb. 6th:

Hey Chuck Schumer today is February 6th, where are you? We are two days from your deadline. Why so quiet?
Maybe you should be fixing problems rather than running before cameras and creating them.

A Democrat Memo and a Second Dossier

The plot thickens with the Democrat memo and news of a second memo that was possibly supported by the Clinton machine. You know what, just release everything and open all the talks to the public. Let’s see where truth is.

One thing we learned yesterday reading Carter Page’s testimony to Congress. (It was behind closed doors but released). Now remember he was the reason for the “concern” and a reason for the rumors.
Well you know what?
He has never met with, talked to or exchanged an email or a text with Donald Trump.
Imagine that.

The Memo Aftermath

The memo is out now for three days now:

We read it the minute it was released and our reaction was a double “what”:
What? This is what Republicans said was going to blow this investigation wide open?
What? This is what the Democrats and MSM said was going to threaten national security?

You know what the release accomplished?

It stopped Trump momentum. He was in upswing with the SOTU. He was enjoying positive feedback while the Democrats sitting on their hands were getting trounced.
All this memo did was change the conversation.

What a shame.
Once again the administration had a chance to gain traction and turned it over.

What does the memo prove?

It depends on who you believe and where truth lies.
If the Republican charge is 100% true then the whole investigation is based upon a lie.
If the Democrats are correct that it is factually wrong then there is more to the story.
We still don’t know.

All we do know is there was no collusion between the Trump camp and the Russians. Where the investigation has gone on obstruction, we don’t know. The original charge was a lie, but special prosecutors go in strange directions.

What we do understand better:

Is why some Democrats saw a conspiracy.  Here’s what we learned:
Carter Page is the key person. He was on the FBI watch list since 2013.
They think the Russians were trying to recruit him to be a spy for them.
Long before Trump announced any run.
Page says he was just doing business with Russia.
Somehow he ended up on a Trump Advisory Board.
The Democrats think the Russians offered him finances to get the sanctions on them lifted.
Knowing Trump’s international business dealings and his reluctance to attack Putin in the election, they tied the two together. They assumed that Page had made a deal with Putin to back Trump for a deal on lifting the sanctions.
When Page was called before Congress to testif,y he made it clear that this was a falsehood.
Thus collusion was dying when the news of Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with the Russians broke. Then when the President helped write the false story about Russian adoption was the meeting purpose, it fueled the conspiracy theory.
Why they lied about the content of that meeting is till a mystery. Was it to try and get the false collusion charge behind them? We don’t know, but this is why Democrats were so sure there was something here and Hillary lost.

So there you have it. The memo stopped a Trump approval rating in it’s tracks and answered nothing. Those who believe this is a witch hunt, continue to do so. Those who see conspiracy still do.

The biggest losers, otherwise, is the MSM. The beacons of free press and openness in government were against it because Republicans were for it.

Remember February 8th?

When Chuck Schumer caved on the government shut down, that was the day he bosted that he would have a vote on things. Guess what, it’s this week. Guess what? He won’t. Guess what? He won’t close the government again.

This should be presented as an embarrassment and loss for him. Let’s see how Trump tweets something to bail him out, and how the MSM protects him. Pay attention.

Just Thinking ….

Just Thinking:

When did the press go from an investigator of the the facts and for release of information to the position they are today with the memo?

Wasn’t it the same press that awarded itself for the release of the Pentagon Papers that is today anti release?

How come the people who have outed others are on the side of secrecy for the administration release?

Wouldn’t a non biased press have been investigating this and exposing it?

If the Hillary paid dossier led to the Russian collusion charges — and it proves false, doesn’t the press care that they spent eighteen months on a false story? What does matter to them?

By the way, if that does prove out, then they reported every detail of a lie and did not pursue the truth.

So let me see, the press wants transparency but not IF it might support the administration?

Shouldn’t they want a full release, just so they can investigate what’s truth?

But then again, if the press was non biased they might have joined Fox in covering the Democrats sitting for all the moments  they did in the SOTU.

We Repeat:

We don’t know if this memo really contains the facts some say they do. We just can’t believe it does and all the trusted leaders are truly biased and untrustworthy. But we sure do want to see and know.

We do know that Adam Schiff is a biased congressperson and he has no credibility with us. He could have been a statesman. Instead he chose sleazy.

Now Exactly:

Now exactly what do the Democrats stand for these days?
What are they going to run on in 2018 and 2020?
I know they want open borders and full citizenship for all, but what else?

It appears to us they are simply anti Trump and running on that.

With the support of the MSM they are actually ahead in the polls, and Nancy Pelosi is in position to replace Paul Ryan as speaker. I guess if you’re a Democrat it’s enough to be anti Trump.

As for Pelosi, Nancy you and your friends should feel free to send the “crumbs” you called the tax cut to me. I am happy to take all the crumbs.

Fox Business Network is winning the business segment.

Per Nielsen, January 2018 was FBN’s most-watched month ever in Business Day, averaging 255,000 total viewers on weekdays in the 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. time period. And as business news dominated the headlines, from the Dow surpassing 26,000, to the government shutdown and Trump’s visit to the World Economic Forum in Davos, FBN scored its eighth consecutive monthly win over CNBC in total viewers.

Jan. 2018: Business Day (M-F, 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. ET)

FBN: 255,000 total viewers / 31,000 A25-54

CNBC: 203,000 total viewers / 39,000 A25-54

Additionally, Fox Biz scored six of the top seven rated news programs on business television in total viewers, led once again by Lou Dobbs, whose eponymous show was the most-watched business news program for the 21st consecutive month. Varney & Co. (which had its highest-rated month ever) Countdown to the Closing Bell With Liz Claman, Cavuto Coast to Coast, After the Bell, and The Intelligence Report with Trish Regan, Risk & Reward all continued to place in the top 10 business news programs in total viewers, and defeated their timeslot competition in total viewers.

FBN’s pre-market coverage also posted double-digit gains year over year in January, with Maria Bartiromo’s Mornings with Maria +35 percent over last year.

The MSM to the rescue ….

Interesting to watch first the cable channels (non Fox), then the networks, pivot to the Russian story again to try and slow the Trump machine after the SOTU. Almost nothing on the positives of speech and the high grades on it in the polls. In place I have seen more times the Trump comment on a hot microphone about, “100%” his plan to release the report on his desk, than the speech. How about you?

Take a look at the numbers below for the speech. Fox beat not only the cable news stations but also the networks in viewers. That’s the first time we have seen that. They won the night easily.

Another interesting fact about that is this. The Fox viewers went down by millions when Joe Kennedy and the Democratic response came on. MSNBC had higher ratings for Kennedy than Trump’s SOTU. I guess their viewers like the Democrats in the room sat this one out.

All the proof you need again:

Here’s a point we want to make again. The networks copy any show, game or idea that drives ratings. To them ratings are everything. Yet Fox with it’s coverage continues to dominant and not one of them will adjust their coverage. Why is that?

The Report:

We think that the President will release “the report” today. He wants it out to answer charges against him and raise doubts. Today is a better day than a lower news Friday or SuperBowl weekend. So expect it.

Now what the report? We remain skeptical. The FBI and DOJ do not want it out. They say it has flaws and could jeopardize some things. We continue to think that if crimes were committed the leadership would have acted already. The new FBI Director is a Trump appointee and he does not want it out. The DOJ is headed by Trump’s appointee Jeff Sessions and they don’t want it out. Why?

There’s something there for sure, but it is not likely the blockbuster that Trump’s people expect. Stay tuned.

11.71 million watched on Fox News making it the-most watched State of the Union ever on a cable news channel. NBC was the most-watched broadcast network with 7.06 million.
