In The News …

The Kate Steinle decision will be added to the O.J. Simpson and Casey Anthony ones as verdicts that left us speechless. Not guilty on even involuntary murder? How is that possible? A stolen gun, fired illegally from an individual deported five times kills a young woman out for a walk with her Dad. He said he didn’t mean to do it. Oh, that’s nice, but she’s not less dead.

To make it worse, the city refused to hold him after ICE requested so they could come and get him. If you weren’t sure before, then you should be now that cities and states have to enforce our laws. You cannot pick and choose what laws to follow. Cut the funding to sanctuary cities and states until they comply.

We hope the family sues the city and state. Their precious daughter is dead at 31 because the city and state did not protect their citizens. Make them pay.

To those who defend the decision and position we ask you to do this. Look in the mirror, look at your child, your parent, your close friend. It could be them next time. How would you feel then? Their young life taken before they could live because your city would not deport an illegal criminal.

By the way, how come California, so gun conscious is not charging him with firing a gun in the city? How come they are not charging for his admission of shooting at Sea Lions? How come this doesn’t matter now?

Meanwhile, the minute the decision came down we pictured a dozen aides rushing up the steps at the White House to grab the President’s phone and hold off tweets. The last thing needed is a tweet that makes this about him and not the issue and decision.

This was the second decision this week that had us shaking our heads. The first was the captured terrorist tied to Benghazi. He was acquitted of the most serious charges (but convicted on some others). This was guy the Obama administration decided to bring back to the U.S. rather than send to Guantamo. In our opinion he should have sent him there, but Obama was committed to freeing the terrorist there and closing the base.

The President was way off on tweets this week. He has stirred up things that he shouldn’t (think resending English video’s) and removed focus from what he should have led on — taxes. He is close to a win and yet he continues to drag himself into issues that the media can beat him up on. Why?

We think Nancy Pelosi is racist. Why? Yesterday she called for minority congressman Conyers to resign. But she didn’t call for Al Franken to resign. Why? It must be White Privilege.

Eleven days to the election in Alabama. A lot at stake. Who knows what the next eleven days bring.

The tax bill is making its way through, as much because Republicans need it to show they can do something as for merit. They are tweaking here, and that’s so a senator can say “I did”. They will find a way.
Now Mitch how about passing Kate’s Law. The House passed it and sent it to you. We predicted four months ago you would sit on it. Why Mitch?

John McCain and Susan Collins appear to be for the tax bill. That caused us to go back and take another look at it to assure we didn’t miss something.

Jeff Zucker CNN Head, who was Matt Lauer’s boss at NBC for over a decade says he never knew. He is shocked. Really Jeff? You want us to believe that? Fake News. If it were true I guess it would explain why CNN is a distant third in the three way cable news battle.

The news media, will be all over the General Flynn news today. They want to prove anything they can to justify their beliefs and feelings. There could be a real danger for the President here. If Flynn committed crimes (like making deals with the Russians) and says he told Trump about them — buckle up.
