With Thanks ….

With thanks to our readers we will let this post be our sole one for Thanksgiving Week (barring a major event). We wish you and yours the best of holidays and we give thanks for your readership. Happy Thanksgiving.

Now In The News:

Charlie Manson passed away. Since he was serving nine consecutive terms he only has to pass eight more times to be free.

Add Mika Brzezinski to the list of those who now say Bill Clinton should have resigned over the things he did. A little late, but interesting isn’t it?

Speaking of Bill Clinton there is a report that four new women are about to file suit against him. These charges would be from the early 2000’s when he was out of office.
Reportedly Clinton and team are in negotiations to pay off the women to stay quiet.
Remember, he paid Paula Jones almost a million dollars to avoid trial.  After all, don’t all innocent people pay off accusers?

More Hollywood stars were charged yesterday and today. That cesspool is deep, but they have moral compass words for the rest of us! Spare me.

Roy Moore’s accuser (the one who was 14) came forward today. She seemed very credible to us. We again call on Moore to quit the race. He is going to lose and hurt the country.

A second Al Franken accuser came forward today. Since there is no photo he denies it.

Did you notice over the weekend liberals begin to differentiate Franken from the Republican sleaze? They said he admitted his, while others didn’t. Isn’t that interesting? You mean it’s less of a deplorable act if you admit it? You mean if you admit quilt, versus saying your innocent, that is less sleazy?
The actions are wrong no matter what side of the political divide you are on.

Hillary is a delight. Everyday new material. Here’s a few since the last blog:
1. Moore is a disgrace. Her husband is not. Hillary, they’re both a disgrace and your beating on your husbands accusers is an added one.
2. She said Al Franken should be “praised for his accountability” and willingness to apologize. Really Hillary? As opposed to who? Is it you and your husband who called his accusers every vile name possible?
3. The she said, President Trump and Senate nominee Roy Moore should be viewed as the real predators, and not Franken. I guess she thinks Franken and Bill’s transgressions were less egregious to the women because they are Democrats.
4. She said Trump has been a disgrace to the office  — unlike her husband who raised the bar on morality in office.
5. In another interview she said the administration (and Trump) are allergic to the truth. Unlike her husband (a proven liar) who did so under oath to a grand jury. Bill Clinton lost his law license for lying!
6. Then she blamed the Russian meddling for costing her the election! Not her campaign paying the Russians for a Trump dozier, but for what they did to her!
7. She said the Russian meddling “one of the major contributors to the election outcome”. Then she added this doozy: “In a couple of places, most notably Wisconsin, I think it had a dramatic impact on the outcome”. See, it wasn’t her bad campaign and failure to visit Wisconsin, it was the Russians.!

By the way, the NYT suspended its White House corespondent amid complaints of his actions around women. The same  reporter who has been outspoken against others. The charges are  he made unwanted advances. The reporter has apparently entered a substance abuse program. The times said it supports that decision. Too bad you didn’t do it before you acted against woman.

Another one of our favorite Washington women, former IRS executive Lois Lerner (you remember her. She refused to move on conservative requests and then testified she lost all her computers and records) told a federal court last week that members of her family, including “young children,” face death threats and a real risk of physical harm if her explanation of the tea party targeting scandal becomes public.
What could be in her testimony that, if released, could be harmful to her and her  family? We heard them say they did nothing wrong. No one got indicted or charged. What could she have said?

Here’s an update on a story we reported months ago. Do you remember how Al Franken was holding up a new conservative judge by not returning his “blue slip”? One senator could stop a judge from his state by doing so.
Well Senator Grassley (who heads the judicial committee)  says he has scheduled hearings for David Stras, a nominee to the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. This was the judge  Franken  was holding up .
Grassley changed the rules. We applaud him.

President Ego Tweet continues to misuse the social media opportunity he has. If he would just use it to argue his polices he could set a new Presidential standard. Instead, his ego goes ahead of thought.
Last week his Al Franken tweet was dumb, especially with the skeletons in his closet.
Then his tweet asking if we think the UCLA players would thank him was in poor taste.
Now he is in a twitter war with the father of one of the players over that. He couldn’t simply take the credit for a job well done.

Which is why in his most positive poll (Rasmussen) he today is at 41% approval and 57& disapproval.

The NFL is fighting the tax bill because it eliminates some breaks for them. One is a special tax break that allows them to use tax-free bonds to build stadiums. It could be the wrong time for the NFL to be asking for anything.

On Taxes we still don’t see the votes in the senate to passing it. Susan Collins (again) is hedging. She suggested raising the corporate tax to 22% to add some things back in. Typical liberal reaction. Just charge corporations more. Like they won’t pass it on to the consumer? Do they think the corporations will eat the costs? If they do they don’t know business.
We repeat again, this is a tax cut for the lower and middle class. Not so much for the upper.

Franken, Moore and The President …

Franken, Moore and The President

Al Franken is just another holier than thou blow hard who will now get all he deserves. He was running for President in 2020 and now is running to save his political career. Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.

Now asking immediately for an ethics committee investigation was brilliant. That takes a long time and protects his seat. The last Senate Ethnics Review took over two years. The hope for Franken is the noise dies down and he gets to keep his seat.
Why McConnell proposed that immediately is unknown. Do the think Democrats would have done that for him?

In the WSJ this AM on Franken:
After reviewing Senator Al Franken’s record of admitted drug use while at Saturday Night Live, Jonathan V. Last concludes: “Al Franken isn’t the monster Harvey Weinstein was. But he should never have been let into American public life, either. Having him lose his seat over what he did to Leeann Tweeden would be like getting Al Capone for cheating on his taxes.”

Roy Moore goes on and on. It’s clear now he is not getting out. He will lose and a red seat gone. He will lose because he’s guilty;  but thinks he has a bigger calling. Roy, you don’t and your thoughts are hurting the rest of us.

The President did exactly what he shouldn’t. We said he couldn’t comment on Moore and he didn’t. However, he comments on Franken and goes after him. That opens the door for the MSM to bring up the Trump transgressions and charges. Just plain dumb.

The Democratic Change:

A number of Democrats immediately condemned Franken. No one came to his defense (or asked he resign). Why did they condemn so quickly? They are smart enough to know after the Trump charges and noise they made, added to the Weinstein expose, that anything else was political suicide.

The hypocrisy we have talked about has caught up to them.

The Clinton Fall:

If you needed any proof that the Clinton era is over just look at yesterday.

First, Kirsten Gillibrand, who holds Hillary’s old senate seat from NY, came out and said that Bill Clinton should have resigned and left office with all his scandals. Remember, no Democrat in either house, back then thought so.

Then this poll was released:

The Huffington Post/YouGov survey found 53 percent of those who voted for the former first lady believe the allegations against her husband have merit.
Only eleven percent say the accusations are “not credible”.
Thirty-six percent are not sure or need more information. (Sure they do)

Among President Trump’s base, 84 percent say the accusations are valid, while 4 percent say they are not.

Overall, 57 percent of the country say the accusations against the 42nd president are credible, compared to 8 percent who say they are not.

When your supporters tip you have real issues. Then add this:

Staunch Clinton supporter and ultra left-wing feminist, Chelsea Handler, apologized to Juanita Broaddrick Wednesday evening and said she believed Bill Clinton raped her.

How this came about:

On Sunday, Chelsea Handler took a swipe at Judge Roy Moore and tweeted: “Imagine being molested by an older man. Then that man denies ever doing it and then goes on and gets elected to United States senate. What kind of message does that send to young girls everywhere? And men to all the men who abuse women?”

Juanita Broderick tweeted back this:
Yeah, @chelseahandler I can imagine. I was raped by the Arkansas AG who then becomes Governor & President and NBC held my interview explaining the rape until after his impeachment hearing. But I’m sure you don’t want to go there.

Handler responded:
I’m sorry I’m just seeing this, @atensnut. You are right and I apologize to you for not knowing your story. Democrats along with Republicans and the rest of the worlds’s political parties all need to do better and respect the firsthand accounts of victims. I believe you.

“I believe you”, the Clinton people are turning on them!

Want one more? How about this from Chris Hayes of MSNBC:

“As gross and cynical and hypocritical as the right’s ‘what about Bill Clinton’ stuff is, it’s also true that Democrats and the center left are overdue for a real reckoning with the allegations against him”.

It’s finally coming home to the liberals.

On Taxes:

Remember all the noise and coverage of Republicans voting against the bill in the house? Well the vote was 227-205 to pass the tax cut and only 13 Republicans (out of 240) voted no.
Think about that in light of how much you saw Peter King and others.

Now the Senate is still a toss up in our mind.

And we ask again. Why are Democrats in Red States voting against their constituents? Where is that coverage and question?

It Goes On — But …..

Moore

On it goes with more women coming forward. The press conference by his campaign manager and lawyer was a disgrace.
Roy, you are destroying the values you say you stand for.
Quit the race.

The President on Moore

The President delivered a speech and review on his trip. The final word comes out of his mouth and the shout comes from ABC’s reporter, “What about Roy Moore?” Classy.
War with N. Korea, trade imbalances, jobs, and world stability discussed. ABC yells Moore.

The President didn’t answer. As we told you he can’t.
The second he does, the press drags up the charges against him. If he says Moore should quit, their next question is, “Why not you”.
If he says he should stay, they say because he had the same issues.
He is in a box. What can he say?
All we think he should say is, “these are serious charges involving minors and that is disturbing”. Nothing else.
Of course he could get cute and say, “I gave an opinion on Bowe Bergdhal and you told me it helped his case and that I should be quiet. I’ll follow your advice”.

Hypocrisy

The issue we’ve harped on for so long is now front and center. How do you defend Bill Clinton and condemn others? It’s been amazing to watch some of the gymnastics going on.

Did you see the column in the NYT by a liberal entitled “I Believe Juanita”? Referring, of course, to Juanita Broderick who said she was raped by Bill Clinton. She and so many others were called liars, white trash, trailer park garbage and more by the same people condemning Moore now. Twenty-five years after the charges she and others now see the folly of how they treated the Brodericks, Willeys and Paula Jones’s.

Add Jake Tapper and CNN to that. Yesterday he actually said we need to go back and evaluate how we treated the charges against Bill Clinton. He said “though it’s a different time” we need to be consistent.
We have two problems with that Jake:

First, attacks on females as reported by the Clinton women and the Moore woman are wrong at anytime in history. Period. There is no other time.

Second, Bill Clinton was accused of far more, including rape. Your blindness then was  compliant.

Third, it is not using today’s judgement against a different time as you said. After all, weren’t you and CNN all over taking down statues for events that happened in 1492 and 150 years ago? Wasn’t that applying today’s standards to a different time?

You see Jake, you are still blind and don’t know it.

And the NYT has this story this morning:
What About Bill?’ Sexual Misconduct Debate Revives Questions About Clinton?
Conservatives resurrect charges as a political cudgel, but some liberals say it may be time to rethink their defense of the former president.

You think so?

MSM COVERAGE:

A study came out yesterday that said coverage of the Moore issue was forty times that of the Senator Menendez trial. Consider that, a sitting senator on trial for corruption (and charges that he engaged in sexual activity with minors) has gotten almost no coverage. Why is that?

But Don’t Worry Dems Have Not Lost Their Way:

Yesterday a half-dozen Democrats on Wednesday introduced articles of impeachment against President Trump, accusing him of obstruction of justice and other offenses.

Now this has no chance of going anywhere in a Republican congress and is not backed by the Democratic leadership (Pelosi). It is the far out left led by Maxine Waters doing this. Are they condemned in the MSM? Are they highlighted for the craziness of this? Why not?

And if some Democrats are willing to do this doesn’t that show a division in the party? How come we only hear about division in the Republican party?
It looks to us like both parties have a problem.

Taxes:

The House will pass its bill today, but we still don’t see how the senate gets 50 votes. When Moore loses it’s even one less.

What still irks us is this. We see Republican congressmen like Peter King all over every channel telling us how bad this bill is for states with high taxes and his constituents. We understand that.

So how come we don’t see one Democrat in the low tax states ready to vote yes for cuts to help their constituents? Let’s take an example of North Dakota Senator Heidi Heitkamp.
A Democrat up in 2018 in a low tax state. This bill helps her state population completely. Why is she voting no?
Why isn’t the media asking her the tough questions we see of Peter King? Like:
Senator this bill will reduce taxes and drive income for North Dakotans, are you more loyal to Chuck Schumer than the state citizens?
Senator why do you think North Dakota tax payers should pay more federal tax than other states?

Where is the fair and non biased coverage?

Healthcare and Taxes

The Senate wants to include a repeal of the Obamacare mandate as part of the tax bill. The MSM and liberals are up in arms. What is this?

This means if a person does not want to buy Obamacare they have free choice not to. The left calls this 13 million who will “lose” coverage under this.
Lose or choose not to buy? We think there is a difference.

Government Run:

By the way if you need more proof a government run program may not be the best we saw the Post Office release yesterday. They lost $2.7 billion dollars last year. Lost.
It was only the eleventh straight year of loss for them.
Your tax dollars at work. Still want to pay more taxes?

Our solution. Sell it to a private entity and let them run it. You may get mail one day less but I guarantee efficiency comes and we save money.

Border Patrol

If this report is true, and we think it is, then it it is very disappointing:

“The Trump administration reinstated a de facto catch-and-release policy for illegal immigrants nabbed crossing the border in Texas, with Border Patrol agents being told Wednesday not to even bother turning them over for speedy deportation because there was no bed space, a top agent said’.

Finally We Hear:

This week we reported that any Clinton investigation would likely not involve the Clintons as they walked to the line but let others cross it, because they knew it was criminal.

Well we heard that an informant has come forward who reportedly has audio recordings of Russian officials talking about using bribery to get favors from the Clintons and giving donations to the Clinton Foundation.

Now that would be interesting if true and open a real investigation.

Simple and More ..

Moore:

He promised last Friday information in 2-3 days that would blow the accusations up. Time’s up and he hasn’t done it. In fact more serious charges arose. Time for him to go.

Sessions and Hearings:

We have watched him testify before congress on numerous occasions. Our conclusion. He is weak and ineffective. A poor choice for the job and cannot do it. He may be honest, want to do it above reproach and really trying; but the job is too big. He needs to be replaced.

So since Moore needs to be replaced, let’s send Sessions back to his old job via a write in, and fix two problems at once.

The President Is Back:

We repeat again that we think he did a terrific job on this trip. The MSM thinks otherwise. I guess they prefer Obama bowing or being disrespected in China (and having to exit via the rear doors of Air Force One to no greeting); or maybe Hillary bringing a misnamed red reset button to Moscow.

Anyway, the President will address the nation and he needs to lay out the facts clearly and let the people hear it directly from him. It was a successful trip.

By the way, the President is in a tough spot with Roy Moore. He has to be careful on what he says since there were a large number of women who accused him of things, as you may recall. He has to pick his words carefully.

On Taxes:

We just don’t think the votes are there yet in the senate to pass the tax bill.
Which raises this question for us:
How come we hear all about Republicans in blue states who are against the bill because of the lost state and local deduction, over and over? The MSM always follows their planned “no vote” with why they are against their “own party”. Okay, fair enough.
So how come we have never seen a single Democrat from any of the 40 states, where there is no question this is a tax break for their constituents? How come they are not voting yes and featured? How come they are not chastised for voting against their constituent interests?

Think about that. There are as many senators and congressional people who are sticking by their party and voting no, despite the fact it is good for their state. Shouldn’t they be featured too?

Sexual Harassment:

Did you see the testimony that US House has paid $15 million to settle sexual harassment charges in recent years? That’s our tax money. Do you know who the charges were against? No one knows because they refuse to release the names.

More and more ….

On Judge Moore

Another woman comes out. The Judge says he never met her. Then she shows her H.S. yearbook in which he glowingly signed.
We stand by yesterday’s statement. He should withdraw.

His refusal to withdraw reminds us of Todd Aiken in Missouri. His off base comments about rape in the last senatorial race against Claire McCaskill cost him a sure win. He went from a big lead, to behind, and refused to quit the race. McCaskill, a sure loser, won the race.
Remember the one vote to save Obamacare?

Moore is doing the same thing now. He cannot win, doesn’t deserve to win and should quit. It was his actions that caused the issue.

The Hypocrisy:

Watching the liberals, Democrats and MSM with Moore and how “we must believe the woman” is nauseating.

We believed them with Bill Clinton, as we did with Hollywood and do now with Roy Moore. We don’t check party identification first.

A Special Prosecutor for The Clinton Foundation?

Well the AG didn’t say for sure, only that he would consider it. Is there a lot to look at? There sure is. Will they find any smoking gun? We doubt it.
The Clintons are too smart for that. No way they put anything in writing or left a trail for others to find.
You see, they know if there is a question about something they let others do it and step far away.

Now watch the MSM go wild. They will be all over Jeff Sessions. They will say “he promised to remove himself” and that “the President shamed him into this, with his words. not because of evidence”. They will say this is “cover” for the Russian investigation.
Watch the outrage now that the sainted Clintons may be challenged.

Speaking of:

Did you see that a sixth woman claims that former President George H.W. Bush groped her when she was just 16 years old?
What did she say? She was taking a picture with him and her Mom and George H.W. at the end grabbed her buttocks.
“My initial action was absolute horror. I was really, really confused. The first thing I did was look at my mom, and while he was still standing there, I didn’t say anything. What does a teenager say to the ex-president of the United States? Like, ‘Hey dude, you shouldn’t have touched me like that?’”
Bush was then 79 years old at the time.

A 16 year old!
Again he voted for Hillary. From my side you can lock him and Bill up with Moore.

An Interesting Stat On Changing America:
In the current congress 20% of the senators  and 19% of representatives had prior military service. This is down drastically from just a few decades ago. In 1975 ,as an example, 81% of senators were veterans.
On Taxes:

Hearings are underway on both sides of congress. As best as we can understand there are two attack points for those opposing:

1. It is corporate welfare. It is so because of the desire to lower corporate tax to 20%. We’ve addressed this a number of times and can’t believe the MSM keeps repeating it.

2. The reduction of local state taxes from your federal bill. The MSM is using this to call the bill unfair.
We still wonder how it is fair for people in low tax states to pay more federal taxes because they live there. Isn’t the federal tax one national rate for all? All of a sudden that’s not fair?
Instead of defending the high tax states, how about a fair presentation and maybe the voters in those states deciding to reduce spending and taxes in their states? And, if they want to spend then fine, just pay your own bill.

Surprise We Disagree With The MSM:

We think the President had a successful and fruitful trip to Asia and handled himself well. The MSM has tried to portray the opposite. Now that he comes back let’s see what happens.

GQ Citizen Of The Year:

Citizen of the year?
Maybe next he can be NFL Player of the Year. After all he had more impact on the ratings, attendance and game than anyone else.

Another magazine I will cross off my list.

Moore and More …..

Moore no more

As events unfold we join the chorus that thinks candidate Roy Moore should step aside. It is disappointing that one who stood so tall and strong for what he deemed moral issues may have some skeletons in his closet. Based upon his own answers, it appears he dated teen agers when he was in his 30’s. He has no credible defense as we see it, and if he believes what he says he does, then he should help save that seat for his party.

With that said we cannot get over the hypocrisy of the MSM attacking him and saying you have to believe woman. The same MSM that demonized the Bill Clinton “attacked and raped me” woman. What hypocrites they are.

As for the Democrats acting so holy, I always go back to the congressional stories we have shared before. Ted Kennedy. They reelected and defended him. Garry Stubbs, Democrat of Massachusetts, conceded a relationship with a 17-year-old male page. In addition, Mr. Studds made sexual advances to two other male pages in the same year, according to committee documents. Reelected and welcomed into Democratic leadership. Remember Barney Franks and his male parter running a male prostitution  ring out of his house? Reelected and a leader in the party.
Spare me the phony outrage now.

The MSM on Trump Overseas

The coverage continues to be so negative. Every newscast starts off with an attack. We for one, think this trip has been a positive and the President has done fine. Yesterday the negative attack was on two fronts.
First, the President said he brought up the election meddling and Putin denied it again. He said he thinks Putin believes that. What does the press do? They say the President is siding with Putin. We never took it that way, did you? We took it that Putin believed what he was saying. Even after the President said he sided with our intelligence agencies, the press continued its narrative. It was incredible.
And by the way, this is the press defending intelligence agencies, that in the past they loved to criticize. But as long as it anti Trump it’s fine.

Then the President tweeted a funny line about Kim Jung Un just to get under his skin. He reacted to Kim Jung Un calling him “old” by asking why he would do that. He said I would never call him “short and fat”. Well the press went wild. He is inciting Kim Jung Un they said. Sorry, first of all Kim needs no inciting. Second, your approach of appeasement doesn’t work. Third, don’t call someone a name and not expect to be called on it.

MSM And Democrtacs on Tax Cuts:

Really, the drop to 20% corporate tax is now corporate welfare? Is that why we would do it, or is it to drive jobs and bring money home?
According to the press it’s the former. We say the latter. You?

Bergdhal

Did you know the military is considering a request by Bergdhal’s team for his back pay? It’s thought to be $300K. Not possible you say? Remember, Obama honored his parents at the White House. Susan Rice talked of his service “with honor and distinction”.

Taxes and Sexual Assault.

Taxes:

Are you serious? The Senate has a tax program in answer to the House and it’s far different. Really? After what happened with healthcare the Republican leadership still can’t get its act together? It makes you say they don’t deserve to govern, but then the one alternative is the other party and we tried that. What a mess.

So the two competing plans differ in a few areas. Let’s start with seven brackets versus four. Seven is what we have now, is that reform? One does away with the estate tax, the other maintains it. One does away with drop to $500K for mortgage deductions, the other doesn’t. One does away with all local tax deductions, the other allows $10K. It goes on. They have a lot to reconcile.

You know why all the differences? Suddenly some senators have found out we have a budget deficit and they want to cut it. Many Democrats, too. Where were they all when Obama doubled the country’s deficit from every President up to him? One administration doubled it. Now everyone has religion.

Thus tax cuts they say will add to the deficit. Well when Reagan dropped the rates (larger than this), you know what, revenue exploded. You know what else did? Congressional spending despite a promise to cut it.  You see tax cuts drive the economy and drive government revenue. The problem we have is a spending one. The government spends too much. In all this talk of tax cuts and deficit have you heard anyone talk of holding spending? Of course not, and that my friends is the problem. It was never you are taxed too little, it is they spend too much.

Sexual Assualts:

The charges against Senatorial candidate Moore in Alabama is shocking. This is the man who refused to remove the ten commandments from his court room and lost his job. We read the story and it sounds plausible. If there is an iota of truth, Moore must quit the race today. Failure to do so will drive this red state to elect his opponent and drive the senate tipping closer before next year.

Then came the Louis C.K. charges. Disgusting and what a cesspool this is all  turning out to be. With more to come.

When a country loses its values it loses its sense of being. We have long felt that America was losing its values, and with that comes an inability to decide right from wrong. What was clear to our Grandparents and past generations is unclear now. This breakdown is speeding up and has to be a concern to us all.

Other:

Here’s an example of disgusting.
“Actress Mila Kunis revealed this week that she has been donating to Planned Parenthood each month in Vice President Mike Pence’s name. Every month to his office, he gets a little letter that says like, ‘an anonymous donation has been made in your name’”.

Think about that. She is donating to anti abortion in the VP’s name  because he believes in protection for the unborn. What a disgrace.

New York City’s subway authority issued a bulletin to all staff telling them to stop addressing riders as “ladies and gentlemen”. Why you ask?
“They are acknowledging that they have some transgender riders. They don’t want to offend anyone”.
What confused us was if you associated with a different gender weren’t you still a lady or gentlemen?

Yesterday we saw the hearing for the President’s candidate to replace John Kelly as head of Homeland Security. Don’t you think it would have been wise to select one who agreed with him on the wall and illegals? It was clear she didn’t.  We can’t understand why.

Which leads us to say that the President is part of the reason everything is so chaotic. He has not adjusted to the political world and continues to act and do things as if he were running a private company. Think of how far out front he has been with congress when they pass a healthcare or tax bill. It’s the best thing ever for the American people. Then the other chamber gets it and he goes with them as the best. (In fact, after the house passed the greatest house bill, he was with the senate and called it mean). The same now with the tax bill. He needs to lead, but as long as his ego gets in the way there will be issue.

Just to end the week on a different note did you see this?
TMZ reported that OJ Simpson had been frequenting the bar at the Cosmopolitan Hotel since his prison release in Nevada last month.
He now is reportedly barred, allegedly getting drunk and becoming unruly.
What a surprise. At his release hearing he said he had not had a drink in 8 years and didn’t miss it. Uh uh.
Maybe the “real killer” was hiding there.

Non Election News …..

With nothing more to add to yesterday’s thoughts on the elections we have a few stories to share that the MSM hasn’t had time for.

A Story We Think They Should Have Covered:

Remember when we were told that in attacking and killing Osama Bin Laden the Navy Seals also captured computers, memoranda, photos, audio files, even a 228-page handwritten diary ?
It was called  “the single largest collection of senior terrorists materials ever”. Did you hear anymore about it? Why not?
The answer is because President Obama promptly put almost all of it under lock and key.

Earlier this year with the new administration the records were petitioned by Thomas Joscelyn and Bill Roggio, who are senior fellows of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies and editors of its Long War Journal

As a member of Congress, Mike Pompeo sympathized with their efforts. Now as CIA director, he has released 470,000 documents, images and computer files.

Here’s a first read from them on the documents:

For one, it’s clear that “when U.S. forces knocked down his door,” bin Laden was not, as Mr. Obama had portrayed him, in retirement or a mere figurehead. Right up until the last moments of his life he “was communicating with subordinates around the globe.”

As for Al Queda, it was not, as Mr. Obama repeatedly claimed, “on the run” or “on the path to defeat.” It was expanding and strategically reorganizing.
Perhaps most significant to current policy debates is a 19-page assessment by a senior Al Queda operative attesting that the Islamic Republic of Iran supplied its “Saudi brothers” in Al Queda with “everything needed” to battle the U.S. — visas, money, arms and even “training in Hezbollah camps in Lebanon.”

Iran also provided safe haven for Al Queda fighters “in exchange for striking American interests in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf.” In a separate memo, bin Laden himself makes clear that by 2007 Iran had become Al Queda’s “main artery for funds, personnel and communication.”

They end the assessment with this:

“Which brings us back to the question: Why didn’t President Obama want this material released? I’m afraid the answer is obvious: It would have bolstered opposition to his nuclear deal — his agreement to provide Tehran with legitimacy and billions of dollars while ignoring its ballistic missile program, continuing sponsorship of terrorism and egregious human rights violations; all in exchange for the regime’s promise to delay a nuclear weapons program whose existence it denies”.

Interesting isn’t it? See if you hear it on the MSM.

More Abuse Stories From Hollywood and Friends:

Kristina Cohen, an actress who has appeared in “Californication’’ and the Web’s “Ladies Like Us’’, wrote on Facebook  that she was  attacked by former “Gossip Girl” star Ed Westwick at his home.

She wrote: “I told him to stop, but he was strong. I fought him off as hard as I could, but he grabbed my face in his hands, shaking me, telling me he wanted to xxx  me. I was paralyzed, terrified. I couldn’t speak, I could no longer move. He held me down and raped me.”

Did you hear on the MSM that Jesse Jackson was accused of sexual assault? If not here’s the headline:

Danielle Young, who works as a writer and producer for The Root, published a 2,000-word  document alleging that Jackson inappropriately touched her as they took a photo together at an event where Jackson served as the keynote speaker. “I walked toward Jackson, smiling, and he smiled back at me,” Young wrote. “His eyes scanned my entire body. All of a sudden, I felt naked in my sweater and jeans. As I walked within arm’s reach of him, Jackson reached out a hand and grabbed my thigh, saying, ‘I like all of that right there!’ and gave my thigh a tight squeeze”.
Young is the second person to accuse Jackson of sexual harassment. Jackson was also accused of sexual harassment when a former employee filed a formal complaint against Jackson’s Rainbow PUSH coalition in Chicago.

If it were Ben Carson and not Jackson would the MSM have covered this?

BTW, Jesse a former Trump friend, made a speech a month ago in which he said  Trump “would not qualify to get into Jesus’ kingdom”.  I guess he thinks that his history including a child from out of wedlock and charges like these will allow him in?

Meanwhile the Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a rumored Hollywood pedophile ring after Corey Feldman filed a formal police report identifying the men he claims sexually abused him as a child.

Add that heartbreaking story by the Boston reporter who told how Kevin Spacey assaulted her son and think how he has acted since the stories broke. First he comes out gay, then he enters the same rehab that Harvey Weinstein did. There’s more to come on him.

Here’s another… Benjamin Genocchio, a prominent and influential figure in the art world, who had recently stepped down as editor of Artnet News to become director of the Armory Show, a top international art fair.
Well, five women said they experienced unwelcome touching by Mr. Genocchio, and a total of eight said he made sexually inappropriate comments to them. An additional 11 people said they observed or knew about Mr. Genocchio making these comments, often in the workplace.
Guess who he was for in the last election.

There are more breaking stories on Hollywood types and charges that we will leave for now. But isn’t it interesting this holier than thou group that continually calls us names for what we believe and live is really a cesspool? Their moralizing and judging is amazing. Clean up your own house before you do anything else.

A Mid Term Message?

Elections:

A clear anti Trump and pro Democratic night. The vote count wasn’t even close. Double digits in Governors’ races. Deblasio wins by 38 in NYC. The first transgender person to win, beats a 26 year Republican Conservative who offered the bill on separate bathrooms. There was no good news for Republicans. They lost legislative seats in state governments across the board.

Now some will fall back on those five congressional elections in the last year that Republicans won. Don’t be fooled by that. They won congressional districts that Republicans always won by huge margins, and if you recall each of these were close.

The prospect looking at next year’s mid terms is very bad for Republicans. The anti Trump crowd is angry and angry people go out to vote. The President better get some legislature through now, because longer term does not look promising.

As we watched the results we noticed the early trend in Virginia and knew that call would come early. What shocked us was seconds after the call the President tweeted throwing the Republican candidate under the bus. He blamed Gillespie for not embracing the President more. We were stunned and think that it says it all about Trump. He is his own worst obstacle. We suspect he will be criticized big time today for this tweet.

As time passes it is becoming clearer to us that Trump won in most part because his opponent was Hillary Clinton.

Here’s a recap on last night and how widespread the Democratic victory was from The Hill. You will see how angry the anti Trumpers are:
http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/359310-dems-win-from-coast-to-coast

On Our Mind Today:

The sex scandal and stories continue to arise and Hollywood is getting rocked. It seems everyday more stories come out. One that just bothers us to no end is Roman Polanski. Yesterday there was a story that five additional people came forward that he abused them as children. That raises the number to ten that we know of. Yet these same sanctimonious actors that are enraged now protected him and fought to assure he would not be extradited back to serve his sentence. Have you heard any of them change their mind on him? Why is that?
By the way, the new accusers were between 9 and 16 when they said he abused them.
We have liberal friends with whom we disagree and enjoy the argument. But we will never forgive them for supporting Polanski and fighting against his return to the U.S. We didn’t understand then and don’t now.

On the same topic we read this from another Hollywood genius. It needs no comment.
“I would like to talk to Kevin Spacey,” veteran journalist and author Gay Talese told Vanity Fair on Tuesday. “I feel so sad, and I hate that actor that ruined this guy’s career. So, OK, it happened 10 years ago … Jesus, suck it up once in a while!”

The Hollywood cesspool is being exposed and there is a lot more ahead.

With it’s new lineup, Fox News took back the No. 1 ranking in total viewers, both in total day and perhaps more importantly, in prime time. FNC has finished No. 1 in total day for 8 straight weeks, and returned to the top in prime time.

Additionally, FNC programs also made up 5 of the top 10 cable telecasts in total viewers, including various telecasts of Tucker Carlson Tonight, Hannity and the newest addition to the network’s prime time lineup, The Ingraham Angle.

Sean Hannity once again had the No. 1 program across all of cable news, holding off 9 p.m. rival Rachel Maddow by 429,000 total viewers and 13,000 A25-54 viewers.

The debut week of The Ingraham Angle at 10 p.m. earned a dominant win over time slot counterpart The Last Word With Lawrence O’Donnell in total viewers. The margin of victory over O’Donnell was far tighter when it came to the ad-friendly A25-54 demo.

Ingraham’s interviews with the White House Chief of Staff and POTUS aired on two separate nights during her debut week, which undoubtedly boosted ratings. Will Ingraham remain ahead of O’Donnell going forward?

10 p.m. ET:

  • Fox News’s The Ingraham Angle: 2,718,000 total viewers / 529,000 A25-54
  • MSNBC’s The Last Word With Lawrence O’Donnell: 2,251,000 / 501,000 A25-54
  • CNN Tonight With Don Lemon: 1,005,000 total viewers / 382,000 A25-54

Shannon Bream‘s new 11 p.m. show Fox News @ Night edged new timeslot rival The 11th Hour With Brian Williams last week. News Clips ……

The Texas Church shooting took a different investigative turn as it was revealed the Air Force failed to enter information that would have prevented the killer from getting a gun. This will slow the left for half a day on yelling gun control and give fodder to the gun advocates.

Meanwhile the tragedy is beyond words and the one clear thing to us is this murderer should not have been on the streets. Between the dishonorable discharge, the smashing of the skull of his stepson and the animal cruelty, what other signs do we need?

The more we learn about Jim Comey and the FBI investigation the more it appears that there is more there. The story yesterday that the FBI originally planned to say that Hillary Clinton was “grossly negligent” in her handling of her secret emails is far different from the “extremely careless” Comey said. Who changed it and why?

Then we hear that the second in command at the FBI, Clinton friend Andrew McCabe, did not excuse himself until six days before the election. That smells.
Yet, the Clintons seem to just glide on by.

News the MSM will not report. This from Egyptian President Al-Sisi:
“I see that President Trump is managing foreign policy in our region. Can I say in short that the United States has regained its weight in the region and its role, and is preserving the security of the region and its countries. We are completely supporting and cooperating with President Trump on this”.

The president of Egypt praised and said, that President Donald Trump is improving the fragile security situation in the Middle East. Is this not news worthy? If he said this about Obama would it be headlines.

We’ve said there is more to the Podesta story. Here’s something in BizPacReview:
“The Podesta Group reportedly lobbied for Russia-owned company, Uranium One, when the Obama administration approved the deal that gave the company access to American uranium reserves. But the real problem is that while Tony Podesta was lobbying for the company, he didn’t register himself as a foreign agent with the federal government, which is required.

Podesta collected lobbying fees of $180,000 from Uranium One, according to the non-partisan Center for Responsive Politics, that discloses lobbying documents filed with Congress. The uranium company states it is a “wholly owned subsidiary” of RUSANO, the Russian State Corporation for Nuclear Energy.

Keep watching, though of course this was not covered on the MSM.

What was covered was that Carter Page (Trump aide) testified before congress and he visited Russia. In fact it was covered big as an example of collusion connections. Of course Page has long done business with Russia and said nothing was done to collude for the campaign but that part got cut.
In fact Page began his testimony by bashing the congressional panel. “Whereas my name was so thoroughly tarnished during your Committee’s March 20, 2017 discussion with James Comey about the Dodgy Dossier on national television,” he said. “I also request in the interest of time that my short biography be submitted for the record.”

Mayhem again ….

Texas Shooting

With Vegas, NYC and now Texas that’s three mass killings in a month. We still don’t have a reason for the Vegas one. In NYC we know it was Islamic Terrorism. In Texas it appears to be a sick atheist who shot up a church to get even with others.
The left will yell guns. The right will yell mental illness. They will do this before we know the facts, because it’s what they do.
The question for us is what can we do to protect our citizens. Stronger laws on buying and having a gun? Okay we accept that. Stronger laws of defining mental issues and getting people off the streets? We accept that too. How about action from all sides for a change?

One thing. The MSM “ban all guns is not the answer”. We tried prohibition, how did that work out? We made drugs illegal; how did that work out? Ask the police what percent of their work is because of illegal drugs. Banning doesn’t work.

Really Bowe?

So Bowe Bergdhal gets off with no prison time. We made our position clear and disgaree with this decision as much as possible. We think most readers agree with us, but to illustrate the other side here’s a NYT opinion from Saturday. They see an injustice too, but the opposite of us.

OPINION  | OP-ED CONTRIBUTOR
An Injustice in the Bergdahl Sentence
By ROB CUTHBERT
His dishonorable discharge would strip him of almost all the benefits that he will need to heal and to reconcile with society.

There was an injustice alright, but it wasn’t to Bowe Bergdhal.

Anthony Weiner

Maybe the NYT feels bad for Anthony Weiner today too, as he reports to prison.
For the record, we don’t feel bad for him either — at all.

The Russia Probe

We think there is more coming, maybe as early as this week. The next Mueller action will likely be against General Flynn and his son. Does Flynn have anything to sell for his son’s freedom?
Between this and the Papodoulous matter there is more to come here.

The next name you will hear about who had connections not disclosed is Wilbur Ross the Commerce Secretary. Imagine that. You spend your whole life building your good name. Become highly successful and in your 80’s become commerce secretary  — only to be dragged through the mud.

The Podesta Matter

As there is on the Podesta matter. There are small rumblings now but there is a lot more here. Watch.

Tomorrow’s Election

The Democrats looked upon this as a chance to make up ground with two governorships. New Jersey is a lock for them and a switch to their side. Virginia started as a win and now is a toss up. If the Republicans win in Virginia, it will make for another bad night for the Democrats.

The Bushes

Did you see the new book coming out with blunt criticism of Presdient Trump from the two ex Presidents? George 41 called Mr. Trump a “blowhard.”. His Dad, George 43rd, said of Mr. Trump: “This guy doesn’t know what it means to be president”.

Both said they didn’t vote for Trump. George 41, voted for Hillary. George 43, said he left the line empty. Can you believe that? Think how Clinton and Obama destroyed them with words and charges, and they’re mad at Trump.

How come Bernie is not as mad at Hillary after all the stuff that has come out?

Taxes ….

One Issue Today: Taxes

The tax plan was released and for the first time we have details. Again:
– How could all those passing judgement before, do so without the details?
– How can you take them seriously now? They already played their hand.
– In our world, if you showed your prejudice and cards criticizing something you didn’t have the facts on, then your credibility now is zero.

However, that didn’t stop Democrat leaders like Schumer and Pelosi labeling it a plan for the rich and the MSM immediately presenting negatives. Just what you would expect, but a shame nonetheless.

With that here’s our thoughts.

We now know the brackets. They go from seven to four.
The 39.6% bracket remains.
How can they say this is a plan for the rich?
Everyone below the top bracket gets a federal break.

The first $24K of income is federally tax free for all. (Up from $12K)
The 12% bracket goes from $24K to $99K. (Joint filers. $45K single filers)
The 25% bracket then kicks in up to $260K. (Joint. Single filers $200K)
The 35% bracket goes from $260K to $1M. (Joint and $500K Single filers)
The 39.6% bracket is from $1M on. (Joint filers. $500K Single Filers).

Every assessment of the average family income in America ($55K) says the family wins in this program. EVERY.
Every person on low fixed income pays nothing to the federal government up to $24K.
For the high income family making $2M, they still owe the federal government $396,000 of the second million. (Plus state taxes are no longer deductible, and health care taxes that are staying).

Is there anything there that favors the rich? Now let’s look at deductions.

The MSM made a big thing of new mortgage deductions (“NEW”, old mortgages are grandfathered in). You can get a deduction on a mortgage up to $500K under this plan, not $1M as current. Is that a favor to the rich? Who has the million dollar mortgage? Is it the middle class working American or the rich? Yet the MSM made a big thing over this.

Next they attacked the estate tax. The plan calls for the doubling of the estate tax passage amount now and full elimination in 2024. We will say this again. Those with money do not pay this tax. They hire estate attorneys and set up trusts. Go check the numbers and you’ll see. In fact 99.9% of estates do not pay any estate tax.

Then came the issue we were talking about for the past month. The state and local taxes. The bill allows for a deduction up to $10K for this. What this means is those in high tax states will lose some deduction (hello NY, NJ, Ct, Ill., and Calif.). Other states will now pay their fair share of federal tax and not more because the high states have such large taxes.

We have said before that fairness to us seems to be we all pay the same in federal tax and not different rates because of the state we live in. You have a problem in say New York or California, then try lowering your state taxes and being more like Florida and Texas. You don’t want to lower them? Then stop asking  other states to pay your bill.
You see, your vote matters. You vote taxes, you pay the bill.

Here’s a chart that will illustrate that. It uses an income of $75,000 and what it looks like after paying taxes in 11 popular US cities. The chart shows annual take-home pay in each city.

What 75k looks like after taxesDallas, Nashville, Miami and Seattle workers keep almost $7K more than New Yorkers with the same salary.

States like Washington, Florida, Tennessee and Texas don’t have state income taxes, so a $75,000 earner will bring home a bigger paycheck there than someone in California or New York. Should they pay more because other states decide to spend more?

Here’s another chart. We took New York versus Miami for a single paycheck.

In other plan pieces:

The 401K deduction allowance remained the same, so all the noise in the MSM that it was going away was wrong.

Finally, the corporate tax would go down to 20%. Some liberals and MSM members call this corporate welfare. Just plain dumb. It will make us competitive in the world economy and drive investment here. End.

This is a low and middle class working family plan. Those calling it a plan for the rich are simply wrong.

Quick Updates

Some Quick Thoughts On The News

As information on the terrorist in NYC emerges you can see the President reacting, unlike most past office holders who remained quiet. Trump views himself as the everyman, on saying what he feels. The MSM loves it because it gives them a chance to go after him. We could be wrong but we think most Americans like it when he goes after the evil doers.

Now watch the MSM and Democrat politicians like Cuomo, Deblasio, and Schumer turn on him, as they did yesterday. All three in their press conference said Trump’s words were harmful, and they defended the “diversity lottery”.

Before this is over the MSM and Dems will be arguing this is Trump’s fault. After all it was him that went after ISIS and they have to fight back. Think about that logic. What would they propose we do with people that want to kill us?

On Taxes: Today we’ll see the details on the plan the press and liberals have said is a tax cut for the rich. Think about this. The MSM has been so negative on the plan (without details) that the WSJ had this poll result:
“35% think the tax proposal that Republicans plan to release this week is a bad idea, and 40% had no opinion or were unsure”. When do people think tax cuts are bad? When the MSM tells you it is without details.

We’ll see but here’s some thoughts:
We think there will be a 39.5% bracket.
If there is a deduction for 401ks we think it will be replaced by no income limits on Roths. That is a replacement that we would sign up for in a second, but the media will make a negative.
On State and Local Taxes look for some compromise to try and win votes.
We think the mortgage deduction will stay in place.

Did You See?

The senate grilling tech officials from Facebook, Google and Twitter Tuesday on missed signals of Russia’s attempts to influence the 2016 presidential race? They said the Russians ran some false ads on these medium and it could have influenced the election.
It’s a good thing we have a fair and non biased MSM that ran it’s reporting 50/50 or who knows what could have happened.

North Korea

Did you notice this quieted down some? Why do you think? Here’s some information from the WSJ that will shed some light on the continued pressure from this administration. The MSM wouldn’t want to share too much:

Trump administration officials eager to choke off North Korea’s global networks, have in recent days urged Persian Gulf countries to clamp down harder on the nuclear-armed state’s ties to the region. The Trump administration and Japanese officials have urged Gulf states in recent weeks to stop using North Korean labor and comply with U.N. sanctions on Pyongyang to tighten the screws on North Korea.

In addition three U.S. aircraft carriers are scheduled to be traveling near the Korean Peninsula soon, and the military may decide to keep them in the area for maneuvers that would coincide with President Trump’s upcoming visit to Asia, U.S. defense officials said. Mr. Trump leaves at the end of the week for a two-week trip that will take him to Japan, South Korea.

You think Kim Jung Un knows this President means business? You think maybe China is reacting with pressure on N.Korea for the same reason?
