The Good and The Bad …..

EDITORS NOTE: BARRING BREAKING NEWS, LIKE A HEALTHCARE AGREEMENT, WE WILL NOT BE BLOGGING UNTIL AFTER THE HOLIDAY.

Healthcare Update:

The President and some Republican leaders continue to believe they will achieve a healthcare agreement in the next few days. How? Why? The why we can explain. Without an agreement they will have to face voters next year and explain how they ran against Obamacare for eight years and had no solution. Reelection could be a major motivator to get it done.
How? That part still eludes us. Satisfying all sides, reducing an  entitlement just seems too far a reach.

The Good and Bad of Trump:

The good, yesterday he met with the families of individuals killed by illegals. The people like the family of Kate Steinle who all support Kate’s Law, which congress will be voting on. They would never have gotten an audience in the past administration or if Hillary won.
The bad. Here’s Trump tweeting again this AM, this time taking on Morning Joe and Mika. In reaction to their continued attacks he got personal and it was ill advised. He has to realize he is President and personal attacks come with the job.

ABC won’t let up:

GMA and ABC News was so excited today reporting that “Congressional investigators want to interview Keith Schiller, President Donald Trump’s longtime bodyguard turned White House aide, as part of their investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election”. Schiller was the person who delivered the letter to Comey telling him he was fired.
Why is calling him to testify such big and exciting news for ABC? It gave them hope for a continuation of the Trump and Russians story. For four days they had nothing to report. Look, they called someone to testify! ABC news now is akin to CNN for us. Shameful.

Speaking of CNN:

The bad news for CNN continues. A second video emerged, this time with former Obama supporter and outspoken CNN commentator Van Jones.
“The Russia thing is just a big nothing burger,” Jones says on the clip.
Now Jones is the one on the network who on election night called Trump’s win “a white backlash”. You mean all the wall to wall coverage on your station and shows is a “nothing burger”? Just CNN bias?
The other concern the network has (outside ratings you will see below) is that AT&T is closing in on buying Time Warner. (They are awaiting anti trust approval by the Justice Department). AT&T leadership is Trump friendly and the job of CNN President Jeff Zucker is likely in question.
After the video’s fake news admissions, firing of four personnel already and ratings questions if you bought them wouldn’t you try a new direction? Maybe even truly move the middle?

On it goes ……

Healthcare:

On it goes. Once again Obamacare, the healthcare that cost the Democrats the house, senate and presidency is popular once again. Trump and the Republicans have now twice done the impossible and made it so.
The MSM helps with their tone, presentation and depiction of the replacement.
We’ll say it again. You can’t do what each side wants. Someone has to pay the bill.
Let me clarify two points you have heard.
First, 22 million will lose their insurance they say, 15 million next year. You know why? Because they are people (mostly young) who will decide without the mandate not to buy. Is deciding not to buy losing it? I don’t think so. Which also raises the question why not leave the mandate in place? We don’t think that is so wrong. When people get sick or hurt a hospital cannot turn them away, so why not mandate coverage?
By the way, costs are also driven up by people who don’t buy, then when they get a need cannot be denied.

Second, we are cutting Medicaid. Not exactly. We will be spending more  (a lot more) each year, just not what Obamacare projected we would. That’s called a cut in DC. Forget Obamacare expanded what Medicaid was. Republicans want to kill you because they want to reduce the increase others projected we should spend.

It would be good for all our health if the facts were clearer so we could make sound decisions.

Did you see the minimum wage story from Seattle?

Seattle has led the way with raising the minimum wage. They have been at $13 since 2014 and going to $15.00. Two studies were done on the impact, the latest released yesterday. It was a bombshell to say the least. It said:
“A substantial boost in the minimum wage in Seattle actually hurt low-wage workers by reducing hours and income”.
You read that right. What has happened the study said is there has been “a 9 percent reduction in hours worked, leading to an overall 6 percent pay drop — offsetting the benefits of the pay hike. The study estimated that the typical low-wage worker in that city lost $125 a month.
Analysts said the wage hike cost Seattle at least 5,000 jobs”.

There’s always been an argument by some that higher minimum wages costs jobs. This one says it’s true in Seattle.
So there is a number where it can actually hurt people, and we need to be careful to think when we try and do good it will all be positive.
The other impact is things like we shared last week, where companies like McDonalds replace minimum wage workers with technology.

The other study in Seattle was released last week by University of California at Berkeley where economists found the Seattle law raised pay without hurting jobs in that city’s restaurant industry. This second study was more encompassing.

Another day another CNN story:

A Project Veritas Undercover Investigator has a CNN Producer on tape admitting that the networks Hype on Trump and Russia is “Mostly Bullsh*t for Ratings”. The producer says a lot more too. “And so I think the president is probably right to say, like, look you are witch hunting me”. If you haven’t seen the video here’s a link. I doubt you’ll see this on CNN and the rest of the MSM.

The Ratings:

Ratings for the past quarter were released yesterday. For the 62 straight quarter FoxNews won the cable news race. This quarter they had:

DIVIDE, DIVIDE, DIVIDE

The CBO Reports Healthcare Bill:

Take your choice on which side of the divide you are on.
Good: It lowers costs, reduces the federal deficit, you got it on one side.
Bad: More people will cancel and lose coverage. That’s on the other side.

I read a good analogy today on Americans and healthcare:
“It’s an old joke among health-policy wonks that what the American people really want from health care reform is unlimited care, from the doctor of their choice, with no wait, free of charge”.

You’re hearing a lot about the Democrats true goal, single payer.
What is it?
Everyone pays one premium, unless you can’t afford it then the government pays for you.
You may remember we reported California’s legislature voted for this.  Here’s a review of their program and costs:
“California legislation encompasses everything from routine checkups to dental and nursing-home care. The plan includes no co-pays, premiums or deductibles. Perfect right?
The problem: They haven’t yet figured out how it will be paid. The legislature’s own estimates suggest it would cost at least $400 billion, more than the state’s entire present day budget.

That cost is in line with that of other recent single-payer proposals.
For example, last fall, Colorado voters rejected a proposal to establish a single-payer system in that state that was projected to cost more than $64 billion per year by 2028.
Voters took note of the fact that, even after figuring in savings from existing programs, possible federal funding and a new 10 percent payroll tax, the plan would have still run a $12 billion deficit within 10 years.

Similarly, last year Vermont was forced to abandon its efforts to set up a single-payer system after it couldn’t find a way to pay for the plan’s nearly $4 trillion price tag.

And don’t forget Bernie Sanders’ proposed “Medicare for All” system, which would have cost $13.8 trillion over its first decade. Bernie would have paid for his plan by increasing the top US income-tax rate to an astounding 52 percent, raising everyone else’s income taxes by 2.2 percentage points and raising payroll taxes by 6.2 points.

This whole issue goes back to how to insure millions for free and get out of the false promises of Obamacare. We all want to do it, but how?

The Travel Ban Ruling:

So the court basically reached a compromise and I heard plaudits for Chief Justice Roberts as one who excels at doing that. Well don’t count us as a fan of that. We thought the Supreme Court was supposed rule on the law. We don’t need to make everyone feel good, we need decisions.

Remember that story CNN pulled?

The one last Friday tying Trump and associates with a Russian investment fund? Well three CNN employees “resigned” yesterday over it.

Another example of the divide:

Two weeks ago NY had a convicted FALN terrorist leader pardoned by President Obama lead it’s Puerto Rico Day Parade. You know what, on Sunday’s Pride Day Parade in the city, who was in float being cheered? Another Obama pardoned person. Chelsea Manning.

Videos and the police decisions:

The NYT ran a story on the body cams and video impacts in recent decisions. Turns out that both sides have used the videos to support their argument and jurors have fallen back to the officer’s words about fearing for their lives. Here’s a link to the story and because many do not have (or want) a NYT subscription, we put the story at the bottom of the TV Rating below.
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/25/us/police-shootings-trials-video-body-cam.html?emc=edit_th_20170626&nl=todaysheadlines&nlid=19928571

The WSJ had an interesting story too. This one about Obama and his speaking out so soon on his successors policies.  Here’s a short caption:

The Outspoken Former Commander in Chief. Former President Barack Obama, who’s been out of office for five months, not only has a physical presence in Washington but he’s also casting a shadow over the political debate by inserting his opinions about President Donald Trump’s agenda.
The move breaks from the relative post-presidency silence of his predecessor, George W. Bush. Mr. Bush left office in January 2009, returned to Texas and largely withheld criticism of the Obama agenda. “I’m very aware of what’s going on. I don’t think it’s good for the country to have a former president undermine a current president,” he said in a 2014 interview with Sean Hannity, when he was promoting a book. “I think it’s bad for the presidency, for that matter.”Presidential historians say Mr. Obama’s public remarks are coming earlier in his post-presidency than others….
Interesting Story on the Daily Caller site:

It claims, the FBI launched a criminal probe against National Security Adviser Michael Flynn two years after the retired Army general roiled the bureau’s leadership by intervening on behalf of a decorated counterterrorism agent who accused now-Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe and other top officials of sexual discrimination, according to documents and interviews.
Now McCabe is the friend of Va. Gov. Terry McAuliffe and the Clintons. You may remember his wife received much support from the two in a failed run for office last year.
Any truth to this? Who knows. But I doubt you hear about it on the MSM.

THE NYT STORY ON VIDEOS:

Jurors Find Video Isn’t Providing 20/20 Vision in Police Shootings

More of the same …

Healthcare weekend:

After listening to the weekend back and forth we are convinced our approach of calling congress to a special session is the best one. You see the issue is that both sides have some right to their healthcare arguments. It’s this simple.

For well over half a century Presidents wanted to create a national healthcare system. You can go back and see the public statements and thoughts. The problem was they couldn’t figure out how to pay for it.
Bill Clinton tried, as you know, and it failed miserably.
So when Obama pushed through the AFA because the Dems had 60 senators and enough congressional members (you may remember he pushed it quickly when Scott Brown won the Mass special election that was going to reduce the number to 59) it went without scrutiny and review. Remember Pelosi’s “you have to pass it to know what’s in it”? Well as you know it passed with every Democrat voting yes and Republican no. Just enough.

It was a new entitlement program appealing to our best instincts. It was designed so the bills would come due after Obama’s second term and the thought was they would force young healthy people to buy insurance to cover higher expenses for others. It was a gallant effort, but the numbers never worked and now the bills are coming due.

Thus, when Republicans say it is a failing system, it is. If it wasn’t insurance companies would not be backing out. On the other hand when Democrats say the Republican plan won’t work, they are right too. You see there was a reason it never got anywhere for all those years.
You can’t pay the bill.

So here we are. A new entitlement program is in place and once it is you can’t get rid of it. You can’t put the genie back in the bottle. If left alone Obamacare will be nothing but an issue. If you change it, that will be an issue.
The problem was created when the bill passed after decades of caution.

Some Updates

The Russians said again yesterday that they are 99.9% sure they killed the ISIS leader. (Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi).

In response to an open record request the city of Ferguson Mo. announced it paid Michael Brown’s family $1.5 million in settlement. Imagine if he had his hands up.

Tired of losing, Democratic rank and file votes had a message for leadership. Stop talking so much about Russia. Turns out they are more interested in economics and jobs. Imagine that.

On that same thought, have you noticed the MSM is no longer talking Trump and collusion? Now it’s Trump changed his mind on Russian involvement. Maybe, but you (MSM) changed your mind on collusion. It was all your news for months. How about a report on that?

Another trial for a police officer ends without conviction. This time in Cincinnati with a second hung jury. What do these juries see that the MSM doesn’t tell us when they report for a month on the incident? The MSM convicts in the court of public opinion and juries don’t.

Interesting Gallup poll. Americans’ views of Hillary Clinton remain unchanged. 41 percent say they have a positive view of her. What makes that interesting is over the last 25 years losing Presidential candidates have seen a boost of at least 4 percentage points in their favorability after the election. Mitt Romney and Bob Dole (1996), each saw their favorability increase four points after their respective elections. George HW Bush went up 16 and John McCain 14. Hillary – zero.

On Thursday CNN ran and published a story involving an investigation of a Russian investment fund with potential ties to several associates of President Donald Trump. It was picked up by Rachel Maddow as explosive. By Friday night, the story was removed from CNN’s website and all links were scrubbed from the network’s social media accounts. Why?
“That story did not meet CNN’s editorial standards and has been retracted,” CNN said in an editors note posted in place of the story.

The Ratings:

Fox dominated Thursday night. Look at their numbers versus a combined CNN and Msnbc.

Is there a Healthcare Solution … Our idea

The noise from all sides of the healthcare debate has been loud and constant. Democrats are united against it. Some Republican conservatives in the senate are against it. The MSM is united that this will raise premiums, reduce coverage and hurt people. It will harm the poor while giving the wealthy more money because it will reduce Obamacare taxes. (Forgetting, of course, that any reduction of taxes goes only to those who pay them. They call that hurting the poor and rewarding the rich when a person or family gets to keep more of what they earn).

So if the senate is to pass this bill they will need to make concessions to some Republican senators. That, of course, may cause the loss of some moderates, and since no Democrats will vote for the bill it can’t pass without 50 senators. Add this, if it does pass then the house bill will have to be reconciled with the senate bill since it is different.

Now the President, Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan may well prove to be adept at maneuvering and get this through the senate and a congressional reconciliation. Then it will become law and they will own it. All the non coverage you are witnessing today on the ills of Obamacare in the MSM will be replaced with endless stories of pain and hurt. Obamacare will become Trump and Republican care with people dying.

With all that, what’s a President to do? Here’s our recommendation.

The President should let the standoff in the senate stand. Then he should become a leader. A leader of the people. He should be the hero riding in on the white horse. How?

The President should go on television for a national address. His message should be:

My fellow citizens, I came to office promising you a better, more affordable health care program. Everyone of our citizens deserves a chance to decide upon what coverage they want, access to the best care, with options to choose from and a payment they can afford. For the first five months of my Presidency, I have tried to find a solution that satisfies all the parties with a stake in this. The House passed a bill that every Democratic member voted against. The senate put that bill aside and has been unable to garner sufficient votes to get one through. Again, every Democrat was against the bill and some of my party found fault, so 50 votes could not be garnered.

I have one interest here, and that is get a bill through that works for you. So I am taking this action immediately:

I am cancelling the August recess for Congress and calling them back into session. I am asking them to hold open sessions so coverage can be there and the American people can see it. If there are members who want to defend the AFA and tell people it is not falling apart they can do so. If others have a different agenda because they think it should be this and not that, then convince others and the American people. I am asking you to stay in session until you agree on a healthcare fix and system that accomplishes what we all want. The best coverage for the American people, with options and a cost they can afford.

We were sent here to do the right thing for our citizens, and their health and well being should be at the top of that list. I am asking all to bring an open mind and leave your partisan politics at the door. I feel confident that your representatives care more about the greater good and can get this done. When they do let’s not call it Obamacare or Trumpcare, or Congress care. Let’s just call it Peoplecare. End.

What’s the risk in the President doing this? Congress gets mad? That would help him, and the people of the country would support him. Plus, it would force congress to do one thing or another. Find a healthcare idea that works or leave Obamacare in place for now. In either case no one can blame the President. And if we leave Obamacare in place, the wrath of its increases and failure will fall where it belongs, on the party who passed it.

Noise, noise, noise

Healthcare Again:

The noise started even before the bill was released. Once it was, the noise came from all sides. In short here’s what you need to know:
– You can’t pass anything in Washington these days.
– There is zero bi-parternership.
– Despite losing election after election over Obamacare, every Democrat in both houses is against replacing it.
– Republicans are 100% for repeal and replace. Except they can’t agree on what that is.
– Conservatives want full replace and people pay their own way.
– Moderates want an Obamacare like bill, but without mandatory requirements and lower taxes.
– So Republicans can’t agree and would need some Democrats to support any change. Since none will, this gets us no where.
– Add Obamacare was a new entitlement that gave away free healthcare. Our politicians cannot pull anything that is in place. Never could.

Reagan said it best “A government program is the nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this earth.” Try and reduce a government program and you’ll see the  “they are throwing Granny over the cliff”, and “they want to kill you” ads again.

Some Quick Hits:
  1. Democratic fall out directed against Nancy Pelosi for continued congressional losses and problems. Some openly saying that it may be time for a change.
Pelosi’s reaction? “I am a master legislator. I am a strategic politically astute leader. My leadership is recognized by many around the country, and that is why I am able to attract the support that I do which is essential to our election”.
I kid you not. Let’s hope she stays, maybe even runs for President.
  2. The parents of Michael Brown reached a settlement Tuesday in the wrongful-death lawsuit they filed over the fatal shooting three years ago in Ferguson, Missouri. This is one of the false narratives “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot”. The one that led to Black Lives Matter, riots, businesses destroyed and additional deaths.
No word on what the settlement was.
  3. Another case that led to riots and discourse had a jury decision this week.
The Milwaukee officer charged in a shooting last August that to led days of protests and violence was acquitted of all charges.
Lots of coverage back then, little today.

TV News:

There was talk of Bill O’Reilly landing a gig on a new station. The update: The CEO of One America News Network, announced he pulled his offer of a job from former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly.
OAN is a conservative leaning privately held news channel launched to give Fox News a run for its viewers and advertisers.
O’Reilly said on his web site that a deal with a traditional, ad-supported TV network would be fraught with peril. “The hard truth is that corporations are now intimidated by political hatred. Opinion journalism is under siege and you must have a strong stomach to compete in this arena.”
Sounds like he is still trying to support web cast on his own.

Msnbc hired a strong conservative voice, Hugh Hewitt to do a show. Hewitt is a well known conservative. The show time — Saturday Morning 8AM. Primetime uh?

Oh the noise they make ….

Today will be a big day for healthcare.

The Senate will release its plan. Let’s see if we can predict what the reaction will be. Republicans want you to die, this plan will kill people. Your premiums will go up, they will leave people by the side of the road. You know what it will be, but the problem is Obamacare is falling apart.
Insurers are leaving, premiums are truly skyrocketing and the system will collapse without a major overhaul. Instead of just more noise wouldn’t it be nice if the MSM provided a true picture and both parties tried being part of the solution?
Let’s see the plan and hope it can help, but we always come back to how you insure anyone at anytime they want and 30 million for free without driving up costs.

A Terrorist Act In Flint MI:

Surprising in that this was a Canadian citizen who came across the border. Not surprising that terrorist acts occur, just surprising there haven’t been more. Someday we’ll hear stories of the great work our intelligence agencies have done.
BTW, the Russians yesterday again said they cannot verify they got the ISIS leader.

In the Did You Hear this on the MSM category:

“House Democrats are continuing to block testimony from about a dozen witnesses who sought to appear before the intelligence oversight panel investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election.
Congressional officials said one of the key witnesses, former informal adviser to the Trump campaign Carter Page, was scheduled to testify at a closed hearing of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
But Democrats on the committee blocked the testimony, asserting they needed more time to prepare”.

More time? Nine months, no evidence, lots of charges and innuendo at the President and you need more time?

The MSM and Democrats may be running head first into a backlash by an increasing number of people who are seeing the whole Russian thing as a partisan witch hunt.

Funny election advice:

Following two more losses in special congressional elections the MSM and Democratic advisors were thinking of taking a new tact. Know what they are thinking? Do less in these elections. They now think they are making a big enough deal to drive their opposition people out to vote. So if they just have the election they think they can win. They used the closer, no coverage election Tuesday in SC which was narrower than the Georgia race. It wasn’t supposed to be. So a new strategy.
Maybe you can try having some policies that people like and stop running on the Russians.

Speaking of which:

A high-ranking former Obama administration official served up some major news yesterday. Jeh Johnson, who served as Obama’s homeland security secretary from 2013 to 2017, had harsh words for the DNC at a House Intelligence Committee hearing Wednesday.
He said the Democratic National Committee refused to accept help from the Department of Homeland Security, even after its email systems were hacked.
“Hindsight is 20/20,” Johnson said at one point in the hearing. “In retrospect, it would be easy for me to say that I should have bought a sleeping bag and camped out in front of the DNC in late summer.”

Makes you wonder what they were hiding doesn’t it? Yup the Russians did it.

On the day we stressed world issues …..

As if to highlight our thoughts that the MSM needs to cover the dangers in the world it was quite a day:

  1. The U.S. shot down an Syrian drone in Syria.
  2. An armed Russian Jet flew within 5 feet of a U.S. recon jet in the area.
  3. There was a terrorist incident in Belgium.
  4. Anger continued to mount over the N.Korea murder of the U.S. citizen.
  5. The US reported forces killed a top cleric of the Islamic State of ISIS.
  6. Cuba rejected Trump’s demand they hand over an escaped cop killer.
  7. Jared Kushner will travel to the Middle East this week to open peace talks.

With all going on the MSM in the US wants to talk Trump and Russians.

News Tuesday:

Two more special elections and two more times the MSM played it up (remember Kansas and Montana?), that they would be a referendum on Donald Trump. They did so thinking they would have a Democrat win to report and show how unpopular the administration was.
Well after the dust settled, and the Georgia race became the most expensive ever with Democrat money flowing from California, guess what? The Republican candidates won both again.
You know it’s fairly normal for the winning presidential party to lose these special elections as the anti vote always shows up. The fact that the Democrats lost every special election is not good news for them.
But don’t worry, in an hour of this being sent the morning shows will be on and they will be spinning it like this. Republicans win both seats but the margins in these traditional Republican districts was narrowed from twenty plus to low dingle digits. Wait for it.

More News Tuesday:

Two examples of liberal policy that can have an impact yesterday:

First the state of Illnois announced it is grappling with a full-fledged financial crisis and not even the lottery is safe. The state is entering “banana republic” territory facing billions in unpaid bills and pension obligations. The state is hitting a cash crunch and the Governor acknowledged “We can’t manage our money.” Think Chicago and now the state. Liberal policies at work.

Second we told you the push to raise the minimum wage would drive operations to robots and technology to replace people. Well, McDonald’s Corp. stock price hit an all-time high as Wall Street reportedly cheered the replacement of cashiers with kiosks. Their chairperson reported McDonalds will upgrade 2,500 restaurants to its “Experience of the Future” technology by year end, which includes digital ordering kiosks.
Just the beginning. See what kind of coverage this gets.

Do you remember this story?

Do you remember the story of Seth Rich the DNC intern who was murdered on the street? He had leaked information to Wikileakes but they said his murder was a robbery gone wrong. His wallet, cell phone and watch were not taken. Some saw a conspiriacy and cover up here but the DNC and even his parents said no.
Well, yesterday an independent group who have been digging into the case released their investigation findings. The group called The Profiling had a press conference on Tuesday. Here’s a piece of their findings

Executive Summary Who The Profiling Project is
 – An all-volunteer group of current and former George Washington University forensic psychology graduate students and instructors.
Why we came together
 – To aid the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police (MPD) utilizing forensic psychology skills and tools in hopes of providing at least one actionable item to MPD
What we found
 – After a three-month review and investigation into the death of Seth Rich, The Profiling Project notes the following:
1. Seth’s death does not appear to be a random homicide
2. Seth’s death does not appear to be a robbery gone bad
3. Seth death was more likely committed by a hired killer or serial murderer
4. There may be additional video surveillance of the crime and crime scene 5. The resolution of prosecuting the individual(s) responsible appears to be hindered both actively and passively
6. Seth’s killer(s) most likely remains free within the community
Do you think this deserves MSM coverage? There’s more here than Trump collusion with the Russians.
Ratings News:

Megyn Kelly’s show tanked again on Sunday. Despite all the controversial coverage. She lost more viewers from week two, which was off by three million from a disappointing week one. This week she lost to reruns of 60 Minutes and America’s Funniest Home Video’s. Reruns.
She’s too good to be beaten like this forever, but this is a bad start.

It’s a dangerous world ….

While the MSM concentrates on the administration’s election (non) “collusion” ties, the world is an ever dangerous place. If you remember our grades to the Obama administration we rated them low on foreign affairs (D) and said there was no where in the world we were better off. In fact we argued they left us in a dangerous place. It’s high time the MSM caught up and informed the American people of a real situation. Let’s do a little tour.

In the middle east there is a mess everywhere you look. The red line they drew in Syria and then allowed Assad to cross, allowed the Russians in. A bad situation got worse yesterday as we shot down a Syrian plane.
It was shot down because that jet was bombing local forces aligned with the Americans in the fight against Islamic State militants.
This was a new escalation of the conflict and the Russians reacted yesterday by shutting down a vital communication line with the U.S., and threatening to target any aircraft operating above Russian and Syrian regime-controlled territory in the country.
Would the Russians shoot at and try to down a U.S. plane? We don’t know, but it certainly raised the level of tension.

Who are we fighting here? ISIS. When did ISIS come into being and rise? Under the last administration.

In addition, we are sending 4,000 more troops to Afghanista. Why is that necessary? The Generals are clear. Obama pulled out too many and too soon, against the military recommendation. Now we face more battles, many in the same areas we once controlled.
Of additional concern is that the Taliban are going across the border to Pakistan for safe haven after attacks. That needs to be addressed. Pakistan is a nuclear power.

Add the deal with Iran, the unrest in Libya, the turmoil in Iraq and you get one very dangerous and unstable region.

Now add North Korea to the mix. This unstable regime is building weapons and not afraid to tell the world. Does anyone trust Kim Jong would not use them?
In unlearned lessons from history the new leader of South Korea, Moon Jae-in, believes he can pull back on arms and deployment and negotiate with the North.
China promised to help and use their economic power to influence North Korea. To date they have failed outright or given us lip service.
A very dangerous area of the world for the new administration.

Then take the established countries of Europe. London has a fourth terrorist activity in four months on Sunday. Paris just avoided a devastating blow yesterday as police killed a terrorist bomber who rammed his car carrying explosives into a police vehicle in the capital’s shopping district, prompting a fiery blast.
No where in Europe is safe as their governments face the peril of terrorism.

So when you add it all up, the world is on the edge and extremely dangerous. The MSM should be raising consciousness of this. Instead they continue to focus on why their candidate lost the last election and how do the get the President. Shameful.

Here’s our blog back from mid January on the Obama foreign policy and where we were headed. If we knew, how come the MSM can’t catch up yet?
http://issuediscussions.com/2017/01/05/obama-legacy-part-two-foreign-affairs/

After the weekend …….

Tomorrow we plan on addressing the deteriorating world situation with another London terrorist act, the U.S. shooting down a Syrian plane and additional troops going to Afghanistan. The MSM continues to focus on Russia and Trump but the world has far bigger issues.

A little weekend catch up and news you might have missed:

The Sunday News shows went after Trump for varied issues:
– “He is under investigation”. Really? For what? Not collusion.
– “He admitted it in a tweet”. No, he tweeted in reaction to a fake story.
– “He wants to fire Mueller”. Do you have any proof of that? No.
It was just more of the same without proof.

The Georgia 6 Special Election Tuesday:

There will be much noise on this special election tomorrow. To date Republicans have held serve (Kansas and Montana) in special elections. This one promises to be very close. A false fact on ABC’s Sunday show.
Donald Trump did not win this district by 23 points.
He won it by one point.  (In fact he won Georgia by only 5 points)
In an attempt to build up the significance of discontent they confused the former Congressman Price’s win with Trump’s victory margin.

Minnesota Police Ruling:

The Cosby no decision got a lot of play over the weekend but did you know that in Minnesota a jury came back not guilty for the police officer in the incident covered so extensively in July? This was the one where his girlfriend live streamed the aftermath of a police shooting of her boyfriend and narrated the scene unfolding around her in the car. You remember the days of riots and coverage that resulted.
We may all be surprised at the verdict based upon what the media told us. However, none us were in the court room as the jury was to hear all the evidence and they came back not guilty.
The police officer will be leaving the force it was announced.

It’s a tough job to patrol the streets and highways. If you want a good feel watch the show on A&E Friday and Saturday nights (9:00) called Live PD. They follow officers live in six cities and you can get a feel of the job.

Speaking of the police:

Democrats have nominated for DA in Philadelphia a man  who has sued the police department 75 times. He has called law enforcement “systemically racist”.  In this clearly Democratic city he will most assuredly win the election. Larry Krasner is his name.
Some more from him:
“When you’re 56 and you see the worst president of your lifetime and the worst attorney general of your lifetime trying to reverse good things that date back to the ’60s, you might just have to do something about it.”
He has offered up a menu of initiatives aimed at fighting what he called “the criminalization of poverty.” He has promised to cut down on the prosecution of minor cases, divert drug addicts into treatment and ignore, where appropriate, what he described as draconian sentencing guidelines. He has also said he would abolish money bail which he feels often leads to the jailing of poor defendants while wealthier ones go free. He would decline to seek charges in any case he deemed to be based on an illegal stop and search.
Watch this over time. As we reported last week the crime rate in Baltimore has exploded since the Mayor and DA turned against the police. You will that here too.

The Ratings:
First the show: Last Man Standing:

You remember the controversy of this show being cancelled. High ratings, but a conservative leaning. Well ABC is not backing off, but it now appears that CMT is going to pick it up and provide new shows. More to come.

As the week ends …..

The “let’s lower the rhetoric” began to fray 24 hours after the shootings. We don’t see it lasting with most people and urge you to keep watch to see who truly does it. We have our thoughts who will and might. Morning Joe this AM certainly wasn’t among those showing a kinder side.
The best news of the day was Congressman Scalise was doing a little better. Let’s continue praying for his recovery.

It didn’t stop leaks though:

The daily drip, drip, drip from the Washington Post, NYT and CNN continues. I think more citizens are looking at the stories with a skeptical eye. Too many have proven false already.
We repeat what we said yesterday. No collusion is now the consensus. So what are we investigating? Obstruction of a collusion that didn’t happen?
A Trump tweet was funny but said a lot:
“Crooked H destroyed phones w/ hammer, ‘bleached’ emails, & had husband meet w/AG days before she was cleared- & they talk about obstruction?”

Another Shooting/Bombing:

The Russians claim this AM they killed the head of ISIS. That would be a change since we heard that they (the Russians) were not going after ISIS. Let’s await confirmation.

A Changing Cuba Policy:

As we indicated here after the Paris Climate decision, Cuba would be the next Obama policy changed. The President will be in Miami to announce today. Drip by drip the Obama years are being chipped away.
Marco Rubio a big critic of Obama’s opening and how little Cuba did back tweeted this today:
“Castro regime again shows true colors, prohibiting pro-democracy leaders Berta Soler & Jose Ferrer from flying to US for #Cuba announcement”

Imagine the coverage if:

The family of Otto Warmbier (the returned North Korea prisoner after 17 months), had said about Trump and Obama in reverse yesterday. They criticized Obama for doing nothing and praised Trump and Tillerson.

A Story the MSM forgot to cover this week:

Remember when the Baltimore Mayor and prosectors turned on the police, who were all proven innocent in a court of law? It was easy to predict that the police would back off and things in the area could get bad. Well here’s a story the MSM missed in its fair and balanced coverage.
Due to multiple deadly shootings and a burst of violence all uniformed officers will be on mandatory 12-hour shifts, as the city hustles to control the crime.
As of Tuesday morning, there have been 159 homicides so far this year in Baltimore City, compared to 124 this time last year.
Anyone surprised?

Another example of lost values:

So the newly crowned SF Warrior basketball team apparently does not want to visit the WH because Donald Trump is President. (Some are urging them to visit Obama and give a 44 jersey as a gift).
What is this with sports teams? The honor of visiting the WH and being recognized in the Rose Garden is an American tradition. The audacity of saying no because you don’t like the President for some reason. Unacceptable, and another example of liberals not accepting the election results.

The Ratings:

Where did Americans turn to watch when the shooting occurred Wednesday? The clear winner was Fox News.  In fact they dominated.
Hannity, The Five and Tucker all beat Rachel Maddow outright.

A new chapter …

The Shooting:

When the surprise settles in the argument will turn to why did this man do this.
Our analysis is the country is as divided today as it was back in the 60’s. Rhetoric is 24/7 and it is impacting people. Let us state this first so the left knows we see the whole picture. Yes, the President ran a rough campaign in which he attacked his counterparts and others with a direct vehemence. He contributed to the ability of the left to demonize him.

However, the intolerance of the left and MSM is far beyond that. Their constant “people will now die” because of any policy proposal by the administration is beyond disagreement. It is driving emotions to the nth degree.
This loser who fired the shots yesterday, and he was a loser, was unable to accept the majority disagreed with his politics. He was unable to keep a job or his life together. I went to his Facebook page early and saw the places and shows he loved the best. He named ABC News, which we have pointed out is so anti administration it is hard to watch. He then named Rachel Maddow (calling himself a superfan). Then next was Al Sharpton’s show. Finally he named the Ed Schultz show, a far leftist who sees evil in the administration throughout all and every show.
He quoted a book by Robert Reich, the Obama finance man, and why lower taxes caused the great depression and only raising taxes on those making money could save the country.

You’ll hear much more about him as the week unfolds but know that though they will deny it, the intolerable left saying the right wants to throw Grandma off the cliff and kill everyone impacted him. The left and media will deny this. In fact ABC News last night actually went to their WH corespondent with the question and asked if this was a message for the WH about rhetoric. What? It was your rhetoric, David Muir, that the loser named first on his FB page. I guess you just don’t get it.

Here’s a link to 15 stars who have advocated violence against Trump and team. Incredible.
http://www.breitbart.com/big-hollywood/2017/06/14/15-times-celebrities-envisioned-violence-against-trump-and-the-gop/

You can watch the game tonight on CSpan at 7 if you are interested.

Finally, what if this were different and the killer was a Trump supporter who went after liberals? What would coverage look like?

The Washington Post …. Again:

Amid all the noise of the shooting the Washington Post runs another leaked story. This time it’s about the Special Prosecutor looking at charges of obstruction by the President.
Let me understand this. He’s looking at obstruction for a crime (Collusion) that everyone said he had no part of.  Makes sense doesn’t it.
After Jeff Sessions’ testimony the Washington Times reported that Democrats were moving off collusion (no evidence) to obstruction. Bingo.

Another story that broke earlier:

Before the shooting a story broke about 200 congressional Democrats filing a lawsuit Wednesday morning against President Trump saying his business interests are likely violating the Constitution’s “emoluments clause”.
Absolutely petty and ridiculous.  We elect a business person President and get this. You lost the election, get over it and let the man govern.

Obamacare Rhetoric:

Again, before the shooting the Senate appeared to be making progress on a replacement. The left started screaming that people are going to die and this is mean spirited. Enough.
Obamacare is failing. More insurance companies are dropping out as we’ve reported. They are not dropping out as Democrats claim because Trump is not supporting them. They are dropping out because they are losing money and the way the bill was designed payments are coming due now. If Obamacare was working and insurance companies were profiting they would NEVER leave the program. Stop already.

FoxNews Changes Motto:

Fox has changed it’s motto from “Fair & Balanced” to “Most Watched. Most Trusted”. You will see it on TV now.

Is it enough already?

Early release of Wednesday’s Blog:

Even with the full support of the MSM there has to be a point where the American people realize the scam of Democratic election charges and the impact it is having on our nation moving forward. A majority have to rise up and say enough already.

Remember this was about the President and his campaign colluding with the Russians to win the election. Almost nine months later there is none.

We heard the Attorney General lied. Well today he went before the committee and destroyed them. He defended his honor and how can anyone think he was working against America’s issues for the Russians?
Think about the other names they have dropped along with Sessions. Carter Page, who the committee cancelled last week, and he is demanding to be called to protect his name.
Paul Manafort, who loudly denounced the charges and said call me before the committee.
Roger Stone, who said I don’t want clemency, leniency or anything. I will show up tomorrow because you are lying about me.
After nine months you have zero and it is time to move on.

The other thing that is clear is that President Trump continues to make issues for himself. If you watched the hearing, what were the toughest questions for Sessions? They all dealt with the President. The most prominent example was the reason why Comey was fired. The President going on NBC news and mentioning the Russian investigation was a disaster.
He needs to stop and tweet only about his agenda and what he is trying to do.

Megyn Kelly  — Really?

So Megyn Kelly’s first week on the air and she lost the time slot to a rerun of 60 Minutes.
This week she drew 3.6 million viewers against 60 Minutes’ 7.9 million. She is getting destroyed. So this happens.
She runs a promo about next week’s show and an interview with the web site Infowars Alex Jones. Jones is one of those nut jobs who thinks Sandy Hook was a hoax. The marketplace reacts and she gets criticized big time. Then the Sandy Hook Promise Foundation cancels her attendance at their annual meeting this week. Got that so far?

So who does Kelly blame for all this? Donald Trump. What, you say?
Yup, she blamed Trump because he spoke to Jones during the campaign and his website now has media credentials. Thus, she decided to do an interview and people reacted. She did nothing wrong, it was all Trump.
Try and make that up.

It’s Session Day ….

That’s all you’ll hear all AM and into the afternoon.

The MSM will question Jeff Sessions integrity and very being. Buckle up.

For our part we’ve known Jeff Sessions as a man of honor and complete integrity. He has been dragged through the mud and his life’s work muddied because of politics. He has served his country with distinction and now they are questioning him and ties to Russia. Really?

They will find nothing with Sessions, because there isn’t anything.

The Cabinet Meeting:

The President held his first cabinet meeting and once again a PR disaster resulted. Who thought it was a good idea to go around to these professional individuals, highly successful in life and careers and have them praise the President little kids? We cringed watching it.

Fire Mueller?

This story is so ridiculous we won’t even comment on it. The MSM will love reporting it so they can drag the administration into the dirt more and show how unstable the President is.
What’s funny is the MSM is quoting a conservative web site leader on it. A web site they would never otherwise recognize.
How crazy is the story? If Trump were to fire Mueller today we would have  President Pence quickly. That’s how crazy.

The TV Ratings for Friday:

Fox won the night. (Msnbc won the key demo 25-54) and Maddow was the number one show with Tucker Carlson number two.

The Weekend, More of the same ……

Depending on what you watched over the weekend it was just more of the same. The MSM continued to tell President Trump stories and hint at dire days ahead. On Fox they continued to defend the President and wonder about Comey. Here’s what we’re wondering:

How come since November it was all about the Russians, collusion and the President? Then Comey says the President was “never” under investigation. So what happens? Does the MSM admit the months of over coverage of a non story was an embarrassment? No they move off Trump and Russian collusion to “Trump obstructed the investigation” of others and Russia. Wait, I thought he even said to Comey if any “satellites” of his were involved “prosecute them”.
It’s clear the MSM so despises Trump they will not let up ever.

Yesterday on one Sunday show I saw a Republican senator (not a friend of Trump) and a Democratic senator both say they have not seen any evidence of collusion. So I ask, when do enough people rise up and say let’s get on with the issues of the country and improve lives. Enough is enough.

One last thought today. Comey admitted leaking. Think about that. The head of the FBI who was supposed to investigate leaking, was leaking. He testified to doing it that time. Well you can be sure he did it more than then and it will come out soon.
BTW, he said he did it because a Trump tweet, that came out a day after he leaked. He has to correct that fact, not that the MSM will call him on it.

The Other Thing:

How come the MSM has barely mentioned the Loretta Lynch and Clinton investigation testimony? That was a true attempt to impact the election. She asked the FBI to lie to help Hillary. Here we have a true act that we know of and they would rather hound the White House on if there are tapes. (There are not by the way). Why no outrage about the former attorney general?
Now add this, you know who ABC had on their Sunday panel to denounce possible interference in the campaign? They had Donna Brazile. The same Donna Braxile who did interfere. The same Donna Brazile who gave Hillary the debate questions against Bernie Sanders. The same Donna Brazile who had to resign from the DNC.
How could they be outraged at Trump’s teams possible and unproven attempt to influence the campaign and then rely on someone to comment on them who actually did it?

In Other News:

On Friday after his meeting with the Romania President in their Rose Garden Press Conference it was announced that Romania was increasing it’s NATO contribution to 2%. The Romanian President said that Trump was right. Did you hear that? I doubt it because all the U.S. Media questions were about possible tapes.

Did you know Rosie O’Donnell donated $1,000 dollars to Reality Winner’s gofundme page? As of this morning the site has raised over $36,000. Imagine that, a traitor who wanted to blow up the white house and admires Osama bin Laden.

The Puerto Rican Day parade went off yesterday and there in the lead car next to the head of the NYC Council was the Obama pardoned terrorist leader. Walking a little behind was Mayor deBlasio. You think anyone thought of the murdered citizens, maimed individuals, orphaned kids and wounded police? Not in that crowd.

You might ask, where did our values go? That is a good question.

Comey Day Review ….

Comey Day Observations:
  • Comey despises Trump and considers him a liar unfit to be President.
  • He considers himself Mr. Honesty. Yet, he leaked a story to the NYT.
  • This raised questions if the FBI has done more leaking.
  • He did not have the courage of conviction to stand up to Trump or Lynch.
  • The President was never under investigation for colluding with Russia.
  • He is frustrated by the public not knowing this and feels hampered.
  • The President is undisciplined and his ego is getting him into trouble.
  • The press is running stories that are fake news. (CNN and NYT named).
  • Marco Rubio asked, where’s the leak, President is not under investigation?
  • Loretta Lynch was in collusion to protect the Clintons. Also not leaked.
The Details. Our view comes down to this:

The President as we’ve reported is undisciplined and his ego is too large. If he doesn’t learn how to be President events like this will continue and he will not survive. What fifth grader would not know he can’t meet with the FBI Director alone and talk like he did?
The President grew up always running his own business and having everyone respond to his commands. Being President is different and he hasn’t gotten that. How could the people around him not step in and say Mr. President that would not be right?
We think the President fired Comey because that’s what he did in business all his life. He would say (as Comey testified) you are doing great then have something go wrong and on impulse fire the person. That might work when your name is on the door of the company, but not here. So one night he got frustrated with Comey and decides to fire him. That’s why there has never been an actual reason and so many explanations. That’s why the story changed.
One more thing. Trump thought firing Comey would get him praise. He thought Schumer and the Democrats would support him because they were still seething over the Clinton probe. Wrong. They will never support him and he has to get over wanting to be loved.
Mr President, you want to be loved? Make the lives of Americans better.

Now Comey. He comes across as honest and a holier than thou person dedicated to the FBI and its mission. We are sure he sees himself that way. But he failed on a few occasions. He failed to stand up in key moments of crisis, and in life it is those moments we are measured on. When Loretta Lynch asked him to mis-categorize the Clinton probe, he backed down. When he felt President Trump was asking for something he shouldn’t, he froze. In key moments where integrity mattered more than his job he backed down.

The press. They lost yesterday too. Comey, their hero now, was clear that he was amazed at the false stories he keeps reading on this. The NYT and CNN pulled back stories as the hearing went on because they were wrong. CNN was on the air with “inside sources” saying Comey would “absolutely” testify that he never told the President he was not under investigation. Well Trump was right, he was told three times.
The press desire to get the President and yesterday’s testimony will make future credibility a real question.

Finally after the intelligence hearing on Wednesday where the department heads said they were never asked to do anything wrong and yesterday’s no investigation of the President report, we need to move on. Let Mueller do his job and the press needs to be more responsible. We suggest while he does the legislators try working on a fix to healthcare, reducing taxes, fixing bridges and defeating our enemies. Enough.

The Other Leaker:

Lost in all this other news was this report on Reality Winner the leaker arrested this week. She was denied bail, and it’s well that she was.
A federal prosecutor said in court that authorities had uncovered a series of “new and downright frightening” other acts by Winner, including inserting a thumb drive into her Air Force computer and taking classified information while she was still in the military.
“When you take a thumb drive in a top-secret computer as she did, we don’t know what happened to it,” U.S. Magistrate Judge Brian Epps said at the hearing. “That falls into the landscape of danger to the community but it is also a danger to the nation.”
Then he added:
Epps also cited her journal which federal agents found during a search of her Augusta home. She allegedly expressed support in her writings for Taliban leaders and Osama bin Laden as well as proclaiming she wanted to burn down the White House.
“She seems to have a fascination with the Middle East and Islamic terrorism,” Epps said. He quoted her as having written: “It’s a Christlike vision to have a fundamentalist Islamic state.”.

“Lock her up”.

New Press Poll:

A new Quinnipiac poll asked about the press and 59% were negative.

“I am going to mention four phrases and ask you which one best describes how you feel about the job the news media has been doing covering American politics. Do you feel enthusiastic, satisfied but not enthusiastic, dissatisfied but not angry, or angry?”

  • Enthusiastic: 10%
  • Satisfied: 30%
  • Dissatisfied: 33%
  • Angry: 26%
England Votes:

No clear winner in yesterdays election and now all sides go forth to try and build a coalition. Theresa May misevaluated for sure and it may cost her the job.
Now her major opponent was Bernie Sanders like. He wants to negotiate with terrorists, and has said he would never use nuclear weapons. He wants the country to be socialist.
A surprise to many after three terror incidents the past few months.

Now batting …. Comey

Tomorrow’s news will be all about Comey so here’s our blog early tonight.

Some quick hits before the hearing:

I watched the Intel Hearing and it just added to the mess that is Washington. Some Democratic Senators went harshly at the four intelligence leaders demanding to know about their Trump interactions. The hearing was on an intelligence act and its future. Their refusal to answer set off vehemence and anger for some Democrat Senators.
Interestingly both NSA Leader Rogers and CIA Director Coates did say they have never felt pressure to intervene, or interfere in any way for shaping intelligence. They did refuse to answer about influence.

Then later in the day I read Comey’s opening statement for today. He seemed to verify some positive and negative that we have heard. The negative for the President is he asked for loyalty and that seems off base for the Director of FBI. Comey also says that the day after Flynn was fired he met with the President. He says this “I want to talk about Mike Flynn.” Flynn had resigned the previous day. The President began by saying Flynn hadn’t done anything wrong in speaking with the Russians, but he had to let him go because he had misled the Vice President. He added that he had other concerns about Flynn, which he did not then specify.
The conversation continued and the President got back to Flynn.  “I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go. He is a good guy. I hope you can let this go.”

On the positive side Comey did say and tell Trump on three occasions he was not under investigation. He also made clear that Trump was frustrated by all the Russian coverage and in particular the falsely reported Trump dossier the Russians had.

So the opening statement is damaging and will provide MSM fodder. It also has some things the Trump people will quote and work with. Impeachment material? No. Now if Democrats, like Schumer, Pelosi and Waters were in control we would see charges. But they aren’t.

Onto the questions and answers today.

Continue reading “Now batting …. Comey”

The last day before …….

Some observations on the day before Comey testifies:

– We think Comey will say little to add to any “impeachment” talk.
– But, will say enough to give the anti Trump MSM enough to run hours of negative stories.
Thus:
– Isn’t it time the administration got its communication act together?
– That means the President controlling what he says and a team capable of presenting his side.
– You realize Trump and team are alone in their jobs?
Want proof?
How often have you seen minority leader Schumer attacking Trump viciously?
How often have you seen (Republican) Leader Mitch McConnell defending his President?
More?
How often have you seen on TV the MSM say “Republicans are speaking out too” and then show Senators McCain and Graham? It’s always them.
Why? Go back and look at the primary and the things Trump said.

The President does much to harm his efforts, and along the way he has attacked people who don’t forget. When he needs them, even his own party is not there.

Then add this, the administration has done a poor job of filling positions. So the President gets into a twitter war with the Mayor of London. The ambassador to the area immediately tweets his praise of the Mayor.
Why?
Because that’s another position that has an Obama holdover in it.

This administration has done much to reverse the Obama executive orders and national direction. Very few know it, because they are communicating, tweeting and governing so poorly.

Other News:

Remember last year when we warned there’s a soda tax coming your way if you live in a Democratic liberal area? Well you can add Seattle to the list of those approving it. The City Council passed a new 1.75 cents per ounce tax on sugary beverages. That’s a $1.12 cent tax on a 2 Liter bottle. It started in Philadelphia and you can see San Francisco, Oakland and now Seattle. All four have liberal Democratic Mayors and Governors.
What happened to the regressive tax they are so worried about? Doesn’t this tax hit the poor harder? (And by the way, they are larger consumers).

Did you notice the catching and jailing of the first leaker of confidential information didn’t get as much coverage as you thought it should? Can it be because the leaker was a far left Obama and Bernie supporter?
Here’s a prediction you will hear soon from the looney left, that she is a hero exposing Russian involvement in the U.S. election. They will disregard the law, and the real investigations underway to defend a traitor.

Do you find it ironic how the Mayor of New York is vocal in condemning the terrorism in London, while marching with a terrorist leader also responsible for bombings, deaths and maiming of so many?  Why is that different? Is it because it was 30+ years ago? Does that mean he will march with ISIS leaders in the future?

Two days to Comey, but lots of news …..

Plenty of news stories but don’t you get the feeling the MSM really wants only to report on Comey and his testimony on Thursday?

The MSM:

If you want to see what the media is really like with this administration watch a daily briefing. (Generally airs around 1:30). They are now covered on the cable stations. One  viewership and you see the attacking, anger and vehemence of the WH press core. Their bias and “I want to get you attitude” is like never before.
Then go ahead and contrast it with a similar date from the previous administration. You will want to ask for ID’s to assure it is the same people.

Executive Privilege and Comey:

How often have you heard the press running with the headline and story asking if the President is going to invoke “executive privilege” to attempt and prevent Comey’s testimony. It was all over MSM TV and print.
Only one thing. Where did they get that from? At no time did the President or anyone in the administration raise it, hint it was an option or they might do it. It was a media story. One that has been so overly reported I bet a good portion of citizens believe it.

If you think the MSM doesn’t run with anti stories here’s another apology from NBC yesterday on a false Russian story. They issued a correction   after spinning a claim that Russian President Vladimir Putin “does not deny having compromising information” from Megan Kelly’s first interview. It wasn’t true, he said the opposite.
http://www.breitbart.com/big-journalism/2017/06/04/fake-news-nbc-correction-after-claiming-putin-had-compromising-info-trump/

Now why can’t the administration answer this?

Since the announcement of our pulling out of the Paris Climate Control Agreement the press has asked over and over “does the President believe in climate change”. The refusal of everyone to answer it is plain dumb. All they have accomplished is allowing the press to paint them out of touch and against the world. No matter what he believes what is so hard to answer “the President believes the climate has and will always be changing, caused both by natural events and what man does”. End.

Plus why does …

Why does the President (and his team and family) allow him to continue to shoot himself in the foot with his tweets? We have said from day one his tweeting is good because he can reach people outside the media spin. However, he needs someone to check the messaging before it goes out. Is that so hard? His fight with the London Mayor is ridiculous and harms him on an issue he should own. His tweets on the travel ban have placed his legal team in a bind. In fact, one his attorneys George Conway (Kelly Ann’s husband) begs him to stop.
It just makes no sense with the media so aligned against you that you harm yourself. How could people so smart be so dumb?

First Leaker Arrest:

On Monday night the report came that the first leaker of classified information was arrested. Her name is Reality Winner. She is 25 years old and worked at the National Security Agency as a contractor. She had a Top Secret clearance at a Georgia facility since February.
The early report is that she is very anti President Trump and pro Bernie Sanders. On election night she apparently tweeted “Well. People suck.” She also tweeted Sanders statement calling Trump racist and xenophobic immediately after. In fact she frequently tweeted at Trump asking recently “have you ever even met an Iranian?”
Here’s an early story that likely will be updated and out by the time you read this: http://dailycaller.com/2017/06/05/nsa-leaker-is-a-bernie-supporter-who-resists-trump/

California votes for Single Payer system:

The California senate approved a $400 billion-a-year program that is the ulitmate goal of the national Democratic party for Health Care. A single government-run, universal-care system for everyone in the state.
Sound like a lot of money? Well the total cost would surpass the state’s annual budget of $180 billion. Where would the money come from?
A legislative analysis said that about $200 billion could be raised from a new 15 percent payroll tax. The other $200 billion could come from existing federal, state and local spending on health care.
By the way, many think that $400 Billion is understating the amount needed.
Once again we say, everyone wants to insure everyone, but when you provide free to so many you can’t pay the bill. Here’s the story if you want to review it. http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/single-payer-health-care-bill-passes-california-senate-heads-to-assembly/ar-BBBNFtd?li=BBnb7Kz

The Ratings (And Megyn Kelly’s):

Megyn Kelly’s show debuted on Sunday. It didn’t do well. She came in third in the time slot, behind a rerun of 60 Minutes even.

Here’s Fridays ratings. Fox closed the week strong.

A week that was and one that will be …

A week that was dominated by the President leading us out of the Paris Climate Agreement and provoking MSM (and world wide) negative reactions ends with a third terror activity in England in a month.

The average citizen in the UK seems to be growing angry. They have an election on Thursday and we should watch to see how they react. Polls were closing and Theresa May’s tough stand may help her.

The MSM in the U.S. covered the London attack Sunday night but by the morning shows Sunday were back to Trump, Russia, Comey and election interference. It’s clear their infatuation with getting the President will override all.

This week the big news will build to Thursday and Comey testifying before congress. You can be sure they will jump on any piece of anti administration he may spout. I don’t see how he can charge the President with anything. He was head of the FBI and if the President said or did anything he was under obligation to expose it.
That said, we should all realize Comey has no love for Trump.  He beat him up in the campaign for not indicting Hillary. He fired him after kind of reassuring him (you are doing a great job), and then calling him a nut to the Russians.
Trump’s mouth has gotten him into trouble and Thursday will be another chapter.

Bill Maher

Another great liberal uses the N word. Unacceptable and let’s see what action HBO takes. But spare me the outrage from Al Sharpton and others. You can’t support the music you do and reward them for using the word. That influences people far beyond this.
