More of the same …….

A three day weekend and the Tuesday after all the news is the same on the MSM. I was wondering if some fair minded American people were beginning to say enough and turn on the MSM.
The President on Monday gave a heart moving speech in his Memorial Day address. He walked the grave sites and greeted families. What was the wall to wall  coverage on the MSM? Russia and Trump connections. It was disappointing and highlighted the bias coverage.

If you want to see a clear attack on the coverage, in a live interview on CNN, watch John Sununu take on (and in our opinion destroy) the interviewer. Why? Because you need evidence and he called her on it.
http://www.breitbart.com/video/2017/05/30/sununu-confronts-cnn-coverage-trump-russia-investigation-much-crow-going-eat/

Speaking of CNN what are they going to do about Kathy Griffin’s role on their station after that disgraceful and horrific video with her holding a bloodied beheaded Donald Trump?
Remember this is the same CNN that gave extensive coverage and outrage at a circus clown wearing an Obama mask. (The clown was fired).

The Congressional Investigation:

Does anyone else find it funny that the Democrats cancelled a hearing where Carter Paige one of the four people they said was Trump’s guy colluding with the Russians? Carter was asked to appear, said he would, in open hearing because his name was being disparaged. He was angry. When the day arrives, the Democrats cancel the hearing. Said they need more time. Oh I see, you had all the evidence, dragged his name thru the mud, and when he says I am coming to answer any and all questions, you back off? How much time do you need? Maybe four years to plant stories to MSM?

Our outrage with European leaders continues:

Watching the Memorial Day coverage just reinforced our anger at France’s President Marcon and his mocking last week. He should ask his wife about history and what American 17,18 and 19 year old kids did on his beaches. I know she was his Math teacher but I bet she knows history.

Angela Merkel made a speech Monday and said it was clear that Europeans must be prepared to go it alone in their defense. Oh really? So you don’t want to live up to your NATO agreement and pay 2%? Go ahead and do it alone.
By Tuesday she backed off. But, didn’t the media delight in reporting Monday how Trump had screwed up relationships? Very little reporting on Tuesday when she clarified they needed the U.S.

The big news today will be the President’s decision on the climate control agreement. Whatever he does the MSM will go after him. If he backs out he is a climate denier. If he stays in he broke a promise to the American people.
Our guess he sticks with his gut, stands up to European leader pressure and backs out. Buckle up.

The Ratings:

Msnbc continues their surge and Fox tries to steady the ship. Rachel Maddow was the number one show for the month of May. Here’s the ratings for last Thursday (before the holiday).

Unacceptable mocking faces …….

NATO and G7 Meetings:

Some thoughts on the NATO meeting. First, Trump is completely right to ask the other countries to pay their share. It is the agreement they signed. The fact that 23 of the 28 countries are failing to pay their share for joint protection is a failure of past leadership.
Next, he was a little too aggressive in shoving his way to the center of the picture. If someone shoved our leader that way we would all be angry.
Last, I am angry that the leaders of France, Belgium and Spain had the nerve to laugh and mock our President’s speech as he gave it. How dare you.
I would tell young Macron of France to take a visit to Normandy in his country and see the burial grounds of the young Americans who lost their lives 50 yards from the ocean as they began the liberation of Europe.
I would tell Michel of Belgium instead of smirking to go visit the land where the Battle of The Bulge was fought to free his people. Research the cold of that winter and he will still see blood of my fellow citizens in the ground. Some may be that of my Father-In-Law who earned his Purple Heart there.
Deplorable applies here to your facial expressions as the President asked for you to live up to your agreement. My fellow citizens pay more than their share today and have paid with their lives and blood in the past.
To the MSM, instead of mocking Trump asking for them to pay as they agreed how about this memorial day weekend remembering our ancestors and the price they paid to free Europe twice and joining us in decrying the mocking faces.

 Updates:

FALN reaction continues as the NY Daily News and Univision back out of parade sponsorship. In addition more city officials will not be attending. The Brooklyn DA (he is of Puerto Rican descent), the State Controller and Attorney General and Chuck Schumer announced they cannot attend.
On the other side, CUNY is not only sponsoring the parade, it’s renting out one of its facilities to celebrate López Rivera’s release from prison earlier this year. Plus, he will be the featured speaker at a June 8 “celebration” at Hostos Community College in The Bronx.
The Mayor is still attending full force and the Governor is still scheduled to do so.

Travel Ban: A federal appeals court in Virginia on Thursday upheld a freeze on President Trump’s ban on immigrants from six mainly Muslim countries, saying it amounts to religious discrimination.
The case is going to the Supreme Court. With 67% of federal judges appointed by Obama and liberals we think a lot of cases will end up before the Supreme Court.

Montana house race. The MSM is going ballistic over the Republican winning. Now most of the vote was in before the incident with the writer and that contributed mightily.
But spare me the outrage. Where was it when Democrats are reelected? Remember Garry Studds getting reelected numerous times after sex with a male teenage page? Barney Frank getting reelected after a male prostitution ring was run out of his house and fixing 33 tickets for his partner?  Ted Kennedy driving off a bridge, a young girl dying and his not reporting it for 12 hours?
No need to go on. There are different standards by the MSM.

TV Ratings: As predicted Fox is having a stronger week as positive coverage of the President occurred while on his trip. Here’s Wednesday’s numbers. Fox won daytime and primetime. Maddow held on to the number one show.

Another Day, Another World ……

Another day and what world you see depends on what you read and what station you watch. The President’s successful (thus far) foreign trip, not big news on the MSM. Report a good performance? No way, let Fox do that. We’ll cover the Montana congressional race and the CBO report first. And oh yea, there’s another Russian report we need to tell you about. Then we have some Manchester news. Finally the President arrived in Brussels. Remember what he said about this city and NATO in the campaign? Here watch this. That’s the MSM today.
So tell us what you’re reading and watching and we’ll tell you how you see the world.

The President’s Trip:

It continues to go well and Rasmussen daily tracking reports this AM it has impacted his perception with the American people. They have 48% approving his job performance, a new high. 52% continue to say they disapprove. We’ll monitor other tracking services which have not been as positive for him.

FALN Update:

Three more sponsors withdrew yesterday. AT&T, Corona beer and Coca-Cola. The issue is gaining steam and the controversy is growing. As we reported two weeks ago, in this era  how can the City honor a terrorist?
Here are the remaining sponsors. Any surprises for you?
WNBC-TV; the New York Daily News; City University and the United Federation of Teachers.
Don’t forget the Mayor and Governor are still attending.

The CBO Report:

Readers of this blog know that the report is no surprise. We repeat, you can’t give free insurance to millions, reduce deductibles,  open networks and reduce costs. So CBO (not always right by the way, they missed big time on Obamacare) says:
— 23 Million would lose coverage. (First bill said 24 million)
— Premiums would fall for younger people and rise for older people.
— The deficit would be reduced by $119 Billion over ten years. (First bill said $150 Billion)
The report did say, “in states that made moderate changes to their markets, representing about one-third of the U.S. population, premiums would fall 20 percent on average”.

The Montana Election:

It was a close election scheduled for today to fill Montana’s one congressional seat. After last night and the Republican candidate actually beating upon a reporter it appears that in the most red of states the seat will go Democratic.
It lends credibility to the belief that 2018 could be a huge Democratic wave election putting Schumer and Pelosi back in control of Congress.
Here’s a story on it from The Hill:
http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/334649-is-a-wave-election-forming-for-democrats

The British are angry over U.S. leaks:

BBC reported that the United Kingdom has now stopped passing intelligence gathered as part of the investigation into the Manchester bombing to the United States. The reason. When British police had discovered the identity of Salman Abedi, the suicide bomber, his name was withheld from the media initially for operational reasons. Yet, less than 24 hours after the attack took place, American newspapers citing “government sources” were able to name the attacker.

Imagine a leak from Washington.

The Ratings:

On Tuesday we had mixed results. Rachel Maddow had the highest viewership and Fox won the night. The ratings:

Trump Travels, Brennan Testifies

As the President continues an historic trip to the holy sites of the world’s three great religions and seems to make progress, while avoiding any issues, the MSM media spends more time on the former CIA head testifying. Why? Did he say he saw evidence of collusion? No. He said he saw contacts, he had no idea what they were, but should be looked at. When asked if the Russians had tried to interfere in past elections he said “Yes”.
Those non news items actually generated more coverage this AM on the morning shows than the President’s visit in Isreal yesterday and meeting with the Pope this AM.  The bias is incredible to us.

One observation that we know you will appreciate. In Saudi Arabia and Isreal it was so clear that the Arab leaders who attended and Israeli leadership were so happy to have a President who is strong and leads. The knock on Obama’s foreign policy was all over. How much coverage on any station or in the newspaper did you see about that? Now ask yourself if that were reversed how would the coverage be?

Trump calls the terrorists “Losers”

We don’t like that term and are sure it will be an issue. We would rather call them demented or misguided. Whatever we call them, the actions to kill young girls is beyond words.

An Update on the FLAN Leader and the NY Parade:

There has been pushback from some quarters to the story we reported last week where the released FALN leader will be the Guest of Honor at the parade. You remember the bombings and deaths from the group’s actions.
“The FALN waged violent war against America, especially New York, in the ’70s and ’80s, including the bombings of Fraunces Tavern, which killed four, and 1 Police Plaza, which permanently maimed a cop”.

Well three sponsors have backed out. Goya Foods a sponsor since parade one in 1058 immediately said they could not do so this year. That was followed a few days later by Jet Blue and the NY Yankees backing out. (AT&T, Coca Cola and The NY Daily News are still sponsoring).

Also announcing they are backing out are: The Police Commissioner who said he is a “I cannot support a man who is a co-founder of an organization that engaged in over 120 bombings.”. In addition the NYPD Hispanic Society, the Gay Officers Action League and the Rafael Ramos Foundation, named for a slain police officer have announced a boycott of the event. The Lieutenants Benevolent Association is urging a boycott of any firm that supports the event.

Now the Mayor (Bill de Blasio) is proudly attending with the City Council head who invited the recently released FALN terrorist. The Governor is scheduled to attend and when asked said he didn’t know enough about the issue to cancel yet.

Events Drive FoxNews on Monday:

A Presidential trip to Saudi Arabia and later the Manchester bombings drove cable news. The strong positives of Trump’s performance drove FoxNews to big win. They should have a great week as their viewers seek positive stories on the President. Look at these numbers from Monday.

The Trip and a Terrorist …..

As President Trump shined through the first days of his trip to Saudi Arabia and Isreal the MSM tried to always focus back to the Comey, Flynn and Russian issues. As leaders of both those countries made it clear they welcomed the new U.S. President and policy, our media wanted to change the topic. How many times have you heard the Obama failed foreign policy brought up. It was clear to all that eight years of appeasement and apology  did not work. There is a new sheriff in town and the game is changed. What a shame the MSM can’t take time to acknowledge it.

Why has Trump done so well this trip? Three reasons. One, he brings new policies and changes to the Obama America foreign policy. Second, he brings leadership and toughness. The world needs an America who leads. Third, he stayed on script, reading notes, using the teleprompter and was off unfiltered twitter.

Manchester England:

What kind of barbarians attack a concert attended by children? If Trump can get the Arab world to risk their lives and unite to fight and end this barbarism he will have achieved an incredible and historical act that will leave a lasting and more peaceful earth. He appears to be attempting that and isolating Iran in the process. Some would say impossible to do, but life is interupted all the time by people doing what others say is impossible. Let’s hope.

A Bad Ratings Week for Fox:

Last week as we reported daily Fox kept falling. By weeks end they had lost the week in total. Msnbc won Primetime, CNN won the key Demo group (25-49) and Fox barely won total day.
Two reasons. First, the anti Trump stories all week drove left and anti viewers to Msnbc and CNN to hear “impeachment” news. Second, the replacement shows on Fox are not drawing.
Last night’s coverage of the Manchester bombing anchored by Shep Smith did not help. He is not a conversative favorite or fan and his on the sir statement that “NBC is breaking news” with the bombing was deplorable.
Friday cable ratings are at the bottom of this blog.

Really Monica?

Monica Lewinsky reacting to the death of Roger Ailes said that he ruined her life. His dream to get a story like hers was her nightmare she said.
Monica, Roger and Fox were not your problem. It was your action and the lack of a moral compass for the man in the oval office that caused your problems.

After the weekend …….

The quick feedback on the President’s speech and visit to Saudi Arabia was positive. The MSM in covering it had to grudgingly agree, but quickly turned back “to the Comey affair”. They won’t give him a break, and know sooner rather later he will say something to provide them cover.
For today though let’s just quote some of his no holds barred words:
– “If you choose the path of terror, your life will be empty, your life will be brief, and your soul will be condemned”.
– “Drive them out! Drive them out of your places of worship. Drive them out of your communities. Drive them out of your holy lands, and drive them out of this earth”.
– “Terrorists do not worship God. They worship death. If we do not act against this organized terror, then we know what will happen and what will be the end result”.
– “Heroes don’t kill innocents. They save them”.

No doubt some left wingers will say “but he didn’t say Radical Islamist Terrorist”, but can you imagine Obama saying anything like he did?

On to Isreal today. Let’s hope it continues to go well.

Anthony Weiner Pleads Quilty:

You heard about his plea and the likely sentence he will get. But did you hear this on the MSM?
Weiner got his start in politics working as an intern for Chuck Schumer when he was a congressman in 1985. He then used his relationship with Schumer to catapult his own political career. In 1988 he became Weiner’s district director. In 1991 Weiner won a council seat within Schumer’s district. He was just 27-years-old, the youngest Council member in the city’s history.
In 1998, Schumer decided to run for senate and Weiner opted to run for his congressional seat. Schumer endorsed him.

Somehow the Schumer connection gets little coverage, imagine if it were Trump or Bush, would that be the same?

Did you hear about this Fox Firing?

This story seemed to be buried late Friday but Bob Beckel, a co-host of the prime-time talk show “The Five,” was fired after an African-American employee accused him of making a racially insensitive remark.
Beckel was just recently brought back after being let go for “personal issues” in 2015.
He is one of the leading left voices in the nation for a long time. In 1984 he managed Democratic candidate Walter Mondale’s campaign against Ronald Reagan. (They won Minnesota, lost the other 49 states).

Beckel getting fired is the result of the new FoxNews no leniency policy. What a surprise that the first one impacted is a liberal for racially insensitive remarks.

Major Obamacare Court Case Ruling Expected Today:

House Republicans won a court ruling that said the payments were unconstitutional because Congress never voted for them. But an appeal by the Obama administration put that decision on hold.
Today the Trump administration may drop the legal appeal that has kept $7 billion in annual cost-sharing subsidies flowing to insurance companies.
Without the cash, insurance companies will sharply hike their rates or abandon the health-insurance exchanges altogether.

The politics here is this.
Experts say pulling the funds could hasten the law’s “death spiral. Trump’s team thinks it could drive the Democrats to the table to work on a replacement.
On the other side insurers and health-care lobbyists are pleading with Congress to keep the money coming.
Big decision today.

The Ratings:

Msnbc continues its run riding the wave of anti Trump stories. They outright won Primetime. Here’s the latest from last week (Thursday).

Heading to the weekend …

With all the hysteria this week a few stories we want to make sure you are aware of and our thoughts on them.

The co-founder of the murderous terror group FALN freed:

Did you know that the co-founder of the FALN group was freed this week, as per an Obama pardon on the way out? If you don’t remember the FALN it was a murderous terrorist group. FALN has claimed responsibility for more than 100 bombings in NYC and other US cities in the 1970s and early 1980s. The militant group’s attacks killed six people and wounded at least 130 others, including police officers.  One a former NYPD Detective Anthony “Tony” Senft, 70, who lost an eye while trying to defuse a bomb planted by FALN said “It’s really sickening”.
The pardoned terrorist was convicted on a slew of charges, including a conspiracy to overthrow the US government, and spent 36 years behind bars before then-President Barack Obama commuted the rest of his 70-year prison sentence just before leaving office in January.
In our opinion pardoning him at the same time he pardoned the former Bradley, now Chelsey Manning, was a disgrace.
But, to show how far our country’s values have changed, consider this.
Upon his release he “was greeted by a beaming New York City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito, who snapped pictures and swooned like a starstruck schoolgirl”. That’s the number two person in the NYC government. She said this,“today after 35 years our beloved Oscar is FREE!”  Bad enough? Not quite, see how this feels. López Rivera is slated to be honored at the Big Apple’s Puerto Rican Day Parade on June 11.
That’s right, he is being honored by NYC.
Detectives’ Endowment Association President Michael Palladino said Mark-Viverito is celebrating “a terrorist.” He added, “On behalf of the cops he injured and civilians he killed, I condemn the speaker for her words and actions. Any politician who embraces evil and terror has no business holding office in this country.”
That’s the country I remember, but it no longer exists.

Maxine Waters a Democrat Spokesperson speaks again:

Thursday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Rep Maxine Waters (D-CA) discussed her multiple calls for the impeachment of President Donald Trump and claimed during the 2016 presidential campaign Trump calling his opponent, Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton “crooked” and the rally crowds chanting “lock her up,” was “a play from Putin’s playbook.”

Trump should be impeached, Waters said, “I am talking about strategies that were developed working with the Trump campaign. I really do believe that much of what you saw coming out of Trump’s mouth was a play from Putin’s playbook. I think that when you saw him absolutely calling Hillary crooked, the “lock her up, lock her up” all of that was developed. I think that was developed strategically with people from the Kremlin, with Putin, and I think it’s more than bank records.”

Don’t you think this is MSM worthy? Did you see it anywhere except maybe Fox?

Trump “might have” what with intelligence?

Much noise this week that Trump “might have” shared some intelligence data at his meeting with the Russians. They might share with the Iranians they said. Anyone remember Obama’s meeting with Castro and the deal he signed? Here’s a report:
“A little noticed Obama administration directive on Cuba, released Oct. 14, instructed the U.S. director of national intelligence to assist and cooperate with Cuba’s intelligence services. The directive has raised red flags on Capitol Hill, where some lawmakers are concerned that Cuba will pass along critical U.S. intelligence to the Iranians, who have made moves in recent years to extend their influence in the communist country and other Latin American countries hostile to the United States. Iran’s interest in Cuba was on full display earlier this year when Javad Zarif, Iran’s foreign minister, went on a goodwill tour throughout Latin America that included stops in Cuba and Venezuela, among others.”
There’s a lot more in that agreement if you want to research it. Compare it to what “might have” happened this week and see which concerns you more.

Immigration arrests up 38 percent:

Amid all the negativity some positive things are happening but unreported. This is one:
“Immigration arrests surged 38 percent during the first 100 days of President Trump’s tenure, authorities said Wednesday, adding that agents have been freed from the tight restrictions of the Obama era and are now able to target a far broader universe of illegal immigrants for deportation. Criminals still dominate the docket, accounting for nearly 30,500 of the immigrants arrested from Jan. 22 to April 29 — up nearly 20 percent compared with a year before”.

The passing of Roger Ailes and cable ratings:

The passing of Roger Ailes seems to mirror the continued decline of FoxNews. On Tuesday Msnbc again won primetime and Maddow dominated.

To answer a question but ……………

So all the noise and hysteria from the left and MSM results in Robert Mueller becoming a Special Counsel to investigate it. Let’s look at this.

What is he going to investigate? What is the crime?

Here’s the questions we want answered:

Did the President of the U.S. engage illegally during the 2016 campaign?

Did anyone on his team do so? If they did, was the President aware?

That’s it.

That’s what Schumer, Pelosi, Blumential, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS and Msnbc have been yelling about. If Flynn, Paige or Manafort did anything it is covered there.
If the President, as he claims, did nothing or was unaware of anything someone else did, then they owe him and our country an apology.

We think what they will uncover is some conversations that those three had where they assured the Russians that the sanctions Obama imposed late in the year would be reviewed if Trump won.
We think that’s it.

Now the problem is that Special Prosecutors do not follow a narrow road, answering the questions we posed above. They veer off and often come up with things far from the original question. Be aware.

What’s ironic about this is that with all the issues some of us want answers on, they will never be covered. Questions like:

What was in and why were the 30,000 emails on Hillary’s private server bleached so they could never be recovered?
What really happened to Lois Lerner’s computer and why did the IRS harass conservative groups? Who ordered it? Who allowed it to continue?
What was the interaction between the Clintons and Loretta Lynch that she recused herself? Was it an attempt to obstruct justice?
What really went on between the Clinton Foundation and foreign governments that they gave so much money to it? Especially since it dried up after the election.
What happened with the guns from Fast and Furious that resulted in the death of a border patrol agent? Who was responsible for the death?
How come confidential memos passed in the Clinton state department and campaign to non authorized personnel and no one got in trouble?
Who told Susan Rice to go on the Sunday shows and lie about Benghazi?
How come neither Obama or Hillary corrected her?
Who is responsible for the lost $535 million loan guarantee to the politically connected solar panel firm Solyndra as part of the Stimulus?

You get the idea. In much of the above there seems to be more evidence of a crime (and people died in some) than in what the new special counsel is supposed to investigate, yet all these are ignored. Why?

One reason is the liberal Democrats yell louder. They can also make outrageous claims and the MSM will protect them. Think about the past week and the number of Democratic congressional people who have yelled that Trump should be impeached. These are elected officials. Have you seen them criticized in the MSM or given coverage? Now think about this. What if any Republican had gone on the floor in a similar manner and said Obama should be impeached for the issues noted above?
Exactly. The MSM would have buried them.

Where does that leave us?
First, Trump makes it hard to rally around him because of his ego and tendency to speak or tweet before thinking.
However, the American people must be smarter than to reward the act of liberal Dems and the MSM.
They must see through it and make them pay too.

The stakes are rising ……

On Monday we asked why the Democrats and liberals were using the impeachment word. “Where is the crime” we asked. Well since then new allegations have arisen and yesterday at least, if true, could rise to obstruction of justice.

There is no question in our mind of two things. President Trump’s ego continues to inflict damage on him. We don’t believe he can change. He thought running the government would be like running his business and it is not. For a guy who kept telling us how smart he is, well he surely isn’t doing things in office to prove that. Again if true, who would ask people to leave a meeting so he could talk to the FBI Director alone, and then proceed to encourage him to get past charges on a former cabinet member?
In business you might do that to try and close a deal, running the government is not a business.

That said, the MSM is on a witch hunt. They truly are after the President for two reasons. One he went after them in the campaign and second they were against him and sure he would lose. There is no fairness. Think about the coverage yesterday on the Comey notes they claim he wrote. They never saw the notes, only had someone read it to them on the phone. Do you think they covered (outside FoxNews) this the same way they did the Clinton meeting with Loretta Lynch on the tarmac? Wasn’t that possible obstruction of justice, too?

The assumption from the media is always the rumor is true. They run it so loud and often that even when proven untrue the general population believes it. As an example last week they reported Trump fired Comey because he asked for more money and resources for the Russian investigation. That proved untrue. How many people know that?
Then they reported over and over that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein had “threatened to resign” over the firing. That was wrong. Yet for two days these stories dominated the news.
Now we have two more this week.
Did Trump release secret data to the Russians. The media says yes, the administration says no. The public is told he did.
Add the private meeting story today and who knows?

On the media:

With the MSM the general consensus is FoxNews leans right, Msnbc leans left and CNN claims it is right down the middle. We think Fox is closer to the center than given credit, and Msnbc is far left. With CNN we find that claim about “center” is laughable. Here’s a study from the Media Research Center (MRC) released yesterday that you won’t see on the MSM.

Highlights are:
“Much of that airtime consisted of interviews and panel discussions giving their assessment of Trump. MRC tallied 123 appearances by guests or panelists over the course of the day. Many of CNN’s analysts showed up in multiple newscasts, each of which would count as a separate appearance. (There were 77 unique appearances by people identified as CNN analysts or commentators, or 62% of all guests).

The vast majority of all of CNN’s guests that day (96, or 78% of the total) were Trump critics, compared to a handful of pro-Trump guests (just seven, or 6% of the total). Another 13 guests were neutral, and seven offered mixed assessments of the administration”.

For the day MRC reported 96 anti Trump analysts and 7 pro. For their “CNN’s on-air talent, the results were even more tilted, with 69 appearances by anti-Trump analysts, vs. just two for pro-Trump analysts”.

The MSM calls that “right down the middle”.

Chelsea Manning Leaves Prison:

You remember her when she was Bradley Manning and disclosed secret files to Wikileaks. Well, she is freed 28 years early because President Barack Obama, in one of his final acts, commuted her 35 year sentence.
Think about that. Manning damaged the U.S. with what he did. To liberals I guess it only matters if the material came from the DNC.

This release is as egregious to us as anything else we reported today.

Last Man Standing Pushback:

Petitions have been signed and boycotts of ABC started over cancellation of the one right leaning show on the networks. Show star Tim Allen tweeted this yesterday:
“Stunned and blindsided by the network I called home for the last six years”.

Monday Ratings:

Msnbc won the night, just another sign of the election tsunami coming.
Rachel Maddow is the clear number one show now.

Now what?

Another day and another issue. This time the President shared highly confidential information with the Russian foreign minister in their meeting last week. The Washington Post and MSM delighted in reporting it and attacking the White House. The President and his team denied it all and said they shared nothing that wasn’t already known. What is the truth? No one knows yet, but you can be sure it is somewhere in the middle and that some bureaucrat in government, with an anti administration bent is the leaker. They need to find the person. You cannot run the government with people who are supposed to be your team working against you.

Now the question is this. If the administration proves to be right and the only issue here is the leak how and will the MSM cover that? They sure ran big with it as fact last night.

House race impact?

The continual negative MSM coverage is going to have an impact in special elections. The next one is May 25th in true red Montana. They have only one congressional seat so it is a statewide election. The Democrats are going all out and Bernie Sanders is in the state campaigning hard. A Republican loss here would be very telling and it may happen.

Another sign of the times:

More U.S. workers are testing positive for illicit drugs than at any time in the last 12 years, according to data from Quest Diagnostics. The number is 4.2%. Now that’s people knowing they are taking a test. Just another example of changing values of our society.

A quiet story you likely have not heard:

Talk about releasing data and how did Wikileakes get so much, here’s an incredible story that the MSM is not covering. A young DNC staffer was murdered on the streets of Washington. It was called a robbery, but his wallet was not taken. There were questions raised, and his family hired a private investigator. This week that investigator said the staffer had released DNC data to Wikileakes.
Here’s a link to the story. Imagine if it had to with a Republican link.

Ratings update:

Friday’s numbers released. Fox still reeling. MacCallum wins the 7 slot but closely over Msnbc. Carlson numbers drop. What used to be a win over CNN and Msnbc combined is now a small win over them individually. Maddow destroys The Five. (We still say that is the wrong show for that time slot). Hannity barely edges out competition. So a tough week for FoxNews. Here’s the numbers:

On it goes …..

In Friday’s blog we made it clear that the administrations failure to plan, coordinate and communicate effectively has been the major issue. Today let us address some issues from another perspective.

What exactly are the far left and MSM saying and why?

For the close to 120 days that Trump has been President we have them, increasingly now, saying the word “impeachment”.
So we ask, impeachment for what? Exactly what do they think he did to even mention that word? What crime are they saying he committed? Do you know? We don’t. It’s not like he lied to a grand jury about what went on in the oval office (and they thought was not impeachable). So what?

They went ballistic over a tweet where he said “Comey better hope there are no tapes” of their conversation. We at first thought he was referencing  the way microphones pick up conversations. But it has become a bigger issue. The liberals say we will subpoena them. Subpoena what? For what reason? Was there a crime? Is there an investigation and charge that has been made legally on why he fired Comey? The way the MSM is presenting this it seems like there is a criminal investigation. There is none, and by the way, taping is legal in Washington DC as long as one person knows it is being done. So what crime are they talking about here? We don’t know.

Here’s what we do know. The President and his administration have been experts at shooting themselves in the foot and elsewhere. The Democrats have been expert at yelling foul on anything and everything. The MSM has loved presenting the administration in a negative light, covering stories over and over, for days and days, even where there is nothing to prove anything. They want badly to justify their pre election thoughts, and votes,  which was Trump had no chance.

So unless the administration and President in particular stops feeding their frenzy this will go on. There are widespread rumors of a major administration shakeup. It won’t matter if the President doesn’t change. His ego is so large he can’t take any negatives. Unless you are idealizing him and his work he gets angry and fights back. In business, as we said during the campaign, it was his company and everyone told him how smart and wonderful he was. He can’t handle the negatives.  His ego has managed to make Schumer and Pelosi look good. They and their friends in the MSM will not let up on this administration — ever.

Speaking of Schumer, he said he is going to hold up any new FBI Director approval until a special prosecutor is named. Think about that. There is no crime we know of. We have a House committee, a senate committee and the FBI looking for any Russian connection to the administration for months now. Schumer wants to add millions of costs to investigate what? We don’t get it, but be assured the MSM does.
See they know better, just ask President Hillary.

The ratings shakeup continues:

Spurred by the Comey firing and increased use of the word “impeachment” the cable news shakeup was big last week.
On Thursday Msnbc won the 7, 9, 10 and 11 timeframes. Rachel Maddow won the week as the number one show and has gained an edge on The Five at 9:00. For the first time Chris Mattews at 7 beat Martha MacCallum. On Thursday Laurence O’Donnell actually beat Hannity.
All the result of the party out being angry and people getting more active and the changes at FoxNews.
CNN? A distant third.

A mess self made ….

Let’s grant that the MSM will never support this administration and always look for the negative. They lean left, vote left and report left. They don’t see anything other than from the left. Look at how yesterday they announced the cancellation of Last Man Standing. The number one show on Friday nights and the only sitcom that leaned right. They found an excuse to cancel. So we start with the media bias and knew this was going to be a rough four years for any Republican Administration.  The hope was Trump was tough and would take them on, even expose them.

What has occurred instead is Trump’s ego, bluster, lack of government experience and penchant to act immediately has fed their narrative and hurt him. Let’s take the Comey situation this week.

It is a given in Washington that you do a major firing or act on a Friday afternoon. This Friday with a holiday Sunday was even better. Why didn’t Trump do that?
The reason is, he is too impulsive. In business he might have decided with his company to fire someone on the spot. Government is not business. The world is watching, not just the HR department.

So he acts immediately. Does he plan this with his team? Does he have a shared reasoning and message? No. He acted. As soon as he does the press is all over his people. They tell different stories and reasoning, feeding the Dem and MSM story narratives.

Does he think that he is going to fire the FBI Director and it is going to be said he is covering up the Russian story? Obviously not. On his meeting agenda a few hours later are two Russian diplomats! One of who is said to be the lead Russian spy in the U.S. So you fire the FBI Director right before the meeting? What kind of thought process is that?

Next you realize the optics look bad so you say no press pictures or coverage of the meeting outside official government photographers. But the press see the Russian photographer going in and guess what? They publish pictures. Can you mess this up anymore?

Next you better realize another difference between business and being President of the United States. You can’t say one thing one day and another the next. You can’t praise Comey a number of times and then fire him saying he was unqualified. You just lose credibility.

Also, stop already. Stop saying I am going to hire a “great” FBI Director. You have been promising great since you started campaigning and that is getting old.

Finally, the shame of everything Mr. President, is you are reversing so many Obama era polices that took us far left, and no one knows. No one knows because you keep shooting yourself, though your words, tweets, actions and irrational behavior. You are leading the conservatives to a 2018 disaster that will impact all our futures.

Grow up and learn to govern or get out of the way.

The Comey Beat and More ….

Comey:

We stand by what we said yesterday. Poor communication and handling by the administration and complete hypocrisy on the part of Democrats.               Sickening to watch both sides on this.
Here’s the long range impact of things like this. Supporters of the in power administration say, “both sides anger me, I am not voting for anyone”. The out of office people do the opposite. They get angry, organize, register and win the mid terms  – big.

If we’re right get ready for Majority Leader Schumer, Speaker Pelosi and more liberal judges.

It Matters:

If you think it doesn’t matter consider this. On Monday Trump nominated 10 conservative judges to the lower courts. They are the first in what could be near monthly waves of announcements to fill more than 120 vacancies.
Think of the decisions that have gone against what you believe recently.

The courts are where the impact has to come. At least for now conservatives can get judges through. Voting matters.

Another Story With Almost No Coverage:

Did you see this on the MSM? Headline on Bloomberg news:
Obamacare Premiums Rise as Insurers Fret Over Law’s Shaky Future.

With all the negatives on the Republican bill this was omitted.
Bloomberg reported three states, Maryland, Virginia and Connecticut are the first states to make filings public for 2018 premiums for Obamacare.

Their plans will rise more than 20 percent on average. The increases follow years of rising premiums under ex-President Barack Obama.

Plus, Aetna announced that they are backing out the plan entirely in 2018.

Reactions? The headline in the liberal Connecticut Post was that “Uncertainty over Trump Care Drives Up Healthcare Prices”.

You can’t make this up with the MSM.

Donald Trump’s Firing of James Comey

By THE EDITORIAL BOARD

Despite claims to the contrary, the F.B.I. director was clearly ousted for leading an investigation into Russian ties that could threaten the president.

There you go, fair and balanced. They know Comey was fired over the Russian invasion.
All the news fit to print — that we think!

Speaking of news, Fox ratings suffer:

On Monday and Tuesday of this week Fox saw drops in viewership and both MSNBC and CNN made gains. In fact with the key advertising demographic (25-54 year olds) Fox came in third in primetime (6-11) on Tuesday. Fox won total viewers, but the margins were much smaller as the new line up settles in. Rachel Maddow on msnbc seems to have The Five clearly in sight and beat them Monday and Tuesday.

A clear reflection of two things. The changes at Fox and the above mentioned party out of office has more fire.

Any Good News?

How about this that the MSM hasn’t had time for.

Illegal immigration across the southwestern border is down a stunning 76 percent since President Trump was elected, with the flow of children a families dropping even faster as analysts say the administration’s commitment to enforcing the law has changed the reality along the border.
Overall apprehensions by the Border Patrol dropped to just 11,129 in April, according to numbers released Tuesday, marking the lowest monthly total for any month in decades.

“A lot of the discussion about changes in our enforcement policy and the way we are going about doing business, we believe that has deterred people,” said Homeland Security spokesman David Lapan. “When you get here, it is likely you are going to get caught. You are going to be returned to your country.”

Down goes Comey, Up comes hysteria ……..

Down goes Comey and up comes the hysteria. Friends are enemies. Enemies are friends. The MSM supported by their friends see conspiracy. What say we?

First they way the administration handled this is more evidence of their lack of tack.
– How does the FBI  Director find out while he is at an FBI recruiting  event seeing it on television no less?
– You mean this was so poorly planned that you just did it and had no idea you were?
– Didn’t anyone have the decency to say let’s make sure we get in touch with the Director first?
This administration continues to hurt itself by it’s lack of professional communication. With the media aligned against them they need to do a better job.

Next the President needs to learn diplomacy. You can’t walk around praising people and then fire them for the same reasons you praised them. You are the leader of the free world and every word you say (or tweet) has impact. You can count us among those who thought you were high on Comey and were shocked.

Now onto the Democrats. Their hypocrisy is beyond description. They despised Comey, wanted him gone, blamed him for losing the election, said he was a closet Republican. Trump fires him and they go off the deep end. Now he’s their hero, he was treated unfairly. Same with the MSM who attacked him relentlessly and now he the superhero. Shameful.
What happens if Comey does an interview and says he thinks Hillary was guilty? What will they do then?

As for the charge this is a coverup of the Russian connection, enough already. Was Jim Comey the head of the FBI doing an investigation by himself?  You are really impugning the people of the FBI by saying they can’t do an investigation because there is a change at the top of the bureau. Plus, the FBI simply gathers facts and the prosecutors make the call. Add the house and senate investigations and the noise about the Russian connection is done because Comey is gone is ridiculous.
A fair press would point that out.

We liked Comey. Thought he was whip smart and loved the FBI, and simply wanted to follow the law. We thought he was put in some tough situations. He made the Clinton decision because Loretta Lynch comprised herself. In that case his role was to investigate and pass on the evidence. When she met with Bill Clinton on that tarmac she disqualified herself, leaving him to do what no FBI Director is supposed to do.
Then his presentation of the case showed his desire to bring charges, but he could not find intent. He was sure he needed to prove intent and didn’t think he could. He didn’t want Hillary to walk completely exonerated so he presented it as he did.
When the Weiner files showed up and he reported to congress he was reopening the investigation, they leaked that to the news media, not him. So he got banged around again.

Why was he fired? The administration needs to do a better job of explaining that. We think the new Deputy AG, who was confirmed two weeks ago, came to the conclusion that the FBI employees had lost confidence in Comey. We hear that the division was really divided on the Clinton charges and there is much division in the bureau. We think the AG decided to recommend a change based upon department morale.

That simple.

Weekend catch up

There was a lot of news over the weekend, a catch up on some key stories:

Healthcare – namely pre existing conditions:

Most of the hysteria over the bill passed seems to be over pre existing conditions. Here’s what we learned. The new bill covers conditions as the old did. It then allows states to seek waivers if they want to alter full pre existing coverage at no additional charges. They must get approval to change anything.

Even then, no one can be denied coverage or have their premium raised  – unless they cancel coverage. As long as individuals maintain coverage they cannot be charged additional. They have a reasonable period to convert if they leave a job or change companies.
So as we understand it, no one with pre conditions can be denied initially, canceled later or denied and charged more upon changing coverage unless they let it lapse and at some future date try and come back.
If that’s true we think that clause is more than fair and the MSM needs to explain it so others can decide.

Which brings us back to how poorly this has been handled. The WH and congress need to do more communication knowing the MSM and liberals will be loud in opposition. Make the case with real examples why Obamacare is failing. Show why your idea is better. Illustrate how costs will decline for families. If everything they are saying is true then communicate, communicate and communicate again to isolate the anti voices and MSM showing out of touch.

Of course without the CBO scoring how do we know anything?

The best approach would still have been a bi-partisan group to do a review and bring the ideas from both sides. If Obamacare is failing let the bi-partisan team say it and take their ideas for a new way.

Sgt. Bergdahl:

No chance the Trump administration doesn’t follow through on a trial for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. The date is scheduled for October on charges that he endangered comrades by walking off his post in Afghanistan. The judge, Army Col. Jeffery R. Nance, said at a pretrial hearing that he intends to start jury selection Oct. 16 and begin the trial in earnest on Oct. 23.
Wonder what would have happened if Hillary had won.

French Election:

Pro-European centrist Emmanuel Macron won easily yesterday, which means the European Union survives. There was little doubt in this election as France has been hit hard with terrorist activity and the country moved to the center a little, but not all the way to the far right his opponent was advocating.
Macron is young (39) and new to the world stage. It will be interesting to see how he handles issues.
The other interesting thing about him is he married his high school math teacher, who he met at 15. She is 25 years older and has kids, one who is two years older than Macron.
It will be interesting when Trump, Macron and their spouses meet for dinner.

Texas does what Texas does:

Last night Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed what he called a ban on “sanctuary cities”.  The act  allows police to ask about a person’s immigration status and threatens sheriffs with jail if they don’t cooperate with federal authorities.
So while other states like California and New York pass safe state laws Texas goes the other way.
Abbott said, “Let’s face it, the reason why so many people come to America is because we are a nation of laws and Texas is doing its part to keep it that way”.

Catching Up ……..

After a busy news week some catch up stories:

Hillary starts a movement:

She really doesn’t want to go away. Her new movement is entitled “Onward Together”. (Her campaign slogan was Stronger Together).
The PAC will, “set its sights on President Trump”.
Just Trump? Not Comey, Putin, FoxNews and Wikileakes?

A Democrat on healthcare:

Do you remember Rep. Tim Ryan who ran against Nancy Pelosi for minority leader in the house? He had this to say about healthcare.
“Democrats should have been talking more about Obamacare during the election if they wanted to save the legislation. We were talking a lot about Donald Trump, we had a lot of commercials about Donald Trump, and we didn’t have enough commercials about working-class people and how we were going to help them”.
Good point don’t you think?

Wait, what do you want me to believe?

In FBI Director James Comey’s testimony before a Senate Committee he had this as to how some of Hillary Clinton’s missing emails ended up on Anthony Weiner’s computer.
He told the Senate panel Abedin had sent them to Weiner’s computer, but was not doing so with the criminal intent. She wanted to print them out for her boss who preferred paper copies.
So you and I are supposed to believe that Huma Abedin did not know passing classified documents to Weiner was against the law.
Really?  Do you believe that? We don’t.
Passing classified documents is against the law  — period.

Did you hear about this FBI study on the MSM?

This report traces things back to the false narrative in Ferguson, Mo of “Hands up don’t shoot” and is very disturbing.  Details:

An unclassified FBI study on last year’s cop-killing spree found officers are “de-policing” amid concerns that anti-police defiance fueled in part by movements like Black Lives Matter has become the “new norm.”
“Departments — and individual officers — have increasingly made the decision to stop engaging in proactive policing,” said the report by the FBI Office of Partner Engagement obtained by The Washington Times.
The report, “Assailant Study — Mindsets and Behaviors,” said that the social-justice movement sparked by the 2014 death of 18-year-old Michael Brown at the hands of an officer in Ferguson, Missouri, “made it socially acceptable to challenge and discredit the actions of law enforcement.”
“Nearly every police official interviewed agreed that for the first time, law enforcement not only felt that their national political leaders [publicly] stood against them, but also that the politicians’ words and actions signified that disrespect to law enforcement was acceptable in the aftermath of the Brown shooting,” the study said.

We can’t say ……

Is the Republican passed health care better for you? We can’t say until we see it, have it scored and understand it. All we know is this was pushed, maneuvered and forced through, not un-similar to Obamacare. We know Republicans were high fiving each other in excitement and Democrats were singing bye bye to them after it passed.

Now Democrats know about bye bye. Since they passed Obamacare they went from a majority in the house to a minority: from 60 senate seats to 48 and lost governorships and state houses. What fate awaits the Republicans?

The President said the end result will be lower costs and reduced deductibles. The Democrats say higher costs and millions uninsured.

If I were advising the President today I would tell him to go on national TV. Since the MSM will be joining the Democrats in attacking this, it is vital to present a case to the American people. A short address like this:

Fellow Americans we in America have over our history created the best medical services available in the history of mankind. We have been the place in the world, where others want to come for medical assistance when it is vital in their lives.
My desire in working with leaders in congress is to maintain that for our children, grandchildren and generations after. Most of you understand the ACA, known as Obamacare, was a failing system. In many states we saw costs rising and insurers leaving the system. We needed to take action.
The plan going to the senate now will be scrutinized and adjusted if neccessaey, but in my opinion will insure the goal of maintaining the quality healthcare system that will be the world’s best.
We are making the changes for those purposes only and healthcare is too vital an issue to allow politics to intervene.
Thank you for your support.

By the way we do know this about the bill passed yesterday These taxes are cut in it — which add up to over $1 trillion dollars imposed by ACA:

-Abolishes the Obamacare Individual Mandate Tax which hits 8 million Americans each year.

-Abolishes the Obamacare Employer Mandate Tax. Together with repeal of the Individual Mandate Tax repeal this is a $270 billion tax cut.

-Abolishes Obamacare’s Medicine Cabinet Tax which hits 20 million Americans with Health Savings Accounts and 30 million Americans with Flexible Spending Accounts. This is a $6 billion tax cut.

-Abolishes Obamacare’s Flexible Spending Account tax on 30 million Americans. This is a $20 billion tax cut.

-Abolishes Obamacare’s Chronic Care Tax on 10 million Americans with high out of pocket medical expenses. This is a $126 billion tax cut.

-Abolishes Obamacare’s HSA withdrawal tax. This is a $100 million tax cut.

-Abolishes Obamacare’s 10% excise tax on small businesses with indoor tanning services. This is a $600 million tax cut.

-Abolishes the Obamacare health insurance tax. This is a $145 billion tax cut.

-Abolishes the Obamacare 3.8% surtax on investment income. This is a $172 billion tax cut.

-Abolishes the Obamacare medical device tax. This is a $20 billion tax cut.

-Abolishes the Obamacare tax on prescription medicine. This is a $28 billion tax cut.

-Abolishes the Obamacare tax on retiree prescription drug coverage. This is a $2 billion tax cut.

So good or bad? We can’t tell yet. We know Obamacare was failing. We know it’s a very difficult thing to replace because of the free in it. We have to see more of this plan to understand and make a judgement.

Here we go ….

Healthcare:

So it appears by mid day the Republicans in congress will vote to move forward an Obamacare replacement. What does this mean?
– First we don’t know much because the bill is not public.
– Second it has not been scored so we don’t know costs yet.
– Third, you can be sure the Democrats will say it’s bad.
– Fourth, Republicans will praise it.
– They want anything with Obama’s name gone.
– Will it insure everyone? Last time 24 million weren’t.
– Will the $8 billion be enough to cover pre conditions?  Unknown.
– Will it reduce costs for everyone?
– Will it provide better coverage and choices of doctors?
– Will the senate pass it? Remember there is no bill until they do.

The questions will persist and you can be sure the MSM will find fault.

Don’t you wish there was an openness to all this and we all knew what was in the bill, and what it would cost? Don’t you feel there is a rush, as there was with Obamacare because no one can work together?
The way government is run these days make you wonder.

Middle East Peace:

President Trump had Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas at the White House yesterday. Like Presidents before him he truly wants to bring peace to an area of the world that has suffered since Isreal was formed. We applaud that, but offer this counsel to the President.

Please stop with the guarantees. Stop promising things that likely can’t be done and try getting credit for trying. To say, “we will get this done”, with the certainty you did is going to be played back over and over as a promise. You need to temper your words and expressions in this role.

The other words you used,“We’ll start a process which hopefully will lead to peace,” and “I would love to be a mediator, an arbitrator or a facilitator” were perfect.
Be diplomatic.

Hillary speaks ……

Hillary Speaks:

Hillary spoke and named events as the reason she lost. The MSM covered it at length. Yesterday she blamed sexism, Russian interference and Federal Bureau of Investigation. Today the congress will grill the FBI Director and no doubt the Democrats on it will blame him for her loss.

Here’s our opinion. She lost because she was a lousy candidate.

Hillary you lost to Donald Trump, a flawed candidate, with damaging video’s, misspoken words and actions as weak as possible. You lost because people didn’t trust you. You lost because you had a problem with the truth. You lost because you put the private server out there. You lost because you failed to go to key states. You lost because your husband went on that plane with the attorney general. You lost because of who you are, not because of anything the FBI did or your opponent did. You lost an election that was  impossible to lose, because of who you are and what you did.
Try looking in the mirror, you’ll find the reason.

That Georgia Special Election:

The latest polls show the run off is a toss up. The Democrat candidate, who doesn’t live in the district, holds a 48-47% lead.
As the election gets closer you will hear much more about it.

Republican Congress and the Health Bill:

How embarrassing is it watching the debacle of the “repeal and replace” party for Obamacare stumbling  all over itself and not being able to agree on a replacement? After seven years of passing a repeal and saying they had a better coverage plan, to look this bad puts in question if they deserve leadership.
It can’t be done and they lied for seven years.
It’s time for the President to stop saying “how great” it’s going to be.
And by the way, if it ever gets out of the house how are you going to get it through the senate?

Congress grills the airline heads:

Does it bother you as much as it does us how congressional members grill people on how they do their job? Yesterday their holier than thou questioning and tone with the airline heads was sickening. We think the airlines do a better job at what they do, than congress does at there’s. Seeing them act so high and mighty asking the CEO’s how could you do this, when they can’t do anything is laughable.

TV Ratings:

FoxNews has held it’s cable news advantage through Monday, which was a week after the new lineup came into play.
It’s the message folks, why don’t the MSM and other stations get it?

The Budget …………..

Very simply the budget agreed to was a victory for Schumer, Pelosi and team. The administration can try and spin it any way they wish but they lost the negotiation. Trump and team wanted to assure there was no shut down and they blinked. They were afraid a shut down would be blamed on them.

The $1 trillion spending bill was announced on Monday.

Why will the administration say they had to negotiate if they control the WH, house and senate? They will say it is because they don’t have 60 votes in the senate and the Democrats were united against them.

Our questions are:

So rather than let them stand out as obstructionist you decided to give in?
So rather than let the American people get mad at them, as they did you (Republicans), when you forced a shut down you decide to cave in?
You couldn’t manage this to show they were stopping the budget?
I thought this administration was made up of great negotiators.

I guess now you’ll trot out cabinet to say we didn’t lose. Well when you have to defend and the other side celebrates you know you lost.

Chuck Schumer said this: “Overwhelmingly, we were very pleased with the outcome — issue after issue, I would not say there’s a major loss in here.” Enough said.

Let’s see the budget:
Partially bails out Puerto Rico’s Medicaid program.
Boosts spending for the National Endowment for the Arts.
Increases the National Institutes of Health budget by $2 billion
Restores year-round access to Pell Grants for college students with need. Keeps the Environmental Protection Agency’s budget intact

Border wall? No funding.
Sanctuary City: No cuts.
Planned Parenthood? Funded fully.

I guess the administration will try and spin this as a victory and site:
The  $1.5 billion boost in Homeland Security funding
$15 billion extra for the Defense Department (about half of what president wanted).

Everyone can make their own call, but we are disappointed.
